What do you expect in an Incest Game?

I've seen a lot of topics criticizing the stories/characters of a lot of incest-themed games around here. I do, actually, think the same on some cases. Sometimes the characters are slutty, naive or dumb, and that really turns me off. Now I'm making a game on my own (like some of you) to share what I like.

That's why I want to know what kind of things/topics do you like in an incest game, what situations turn you on, if you like the presence of a rival (like a father if you're the son), what kind of fetishes you like or hate and those kind of things. I think that'd get me a good idea of what to write/draw or include. Ok, I think I can change my question to... If you could make an incest game, what will you incluide on it?

Most incest games are done from a male POV. How about an incest game from a female POV for a change? You usually know what to expect from a male POV. A lot more things can happen with a female lead character like lesbian, bisexual, and straight. Usually most male characters are limited to straight sex. That gets rather tedious. Pregnancy is also hot in my book. Bring on the sexy big bellies!

All joking aside I enjoy seeing the internal conflict of the involved people both the mc and the intended partner. Not just like the usual I know i shouldn't but fuck it i'm horny, but an actual story that evolves and boundaries blur. IMO good incest isnt the point of a game its just something that is included as an option to be explored if desired. Ofcourse there are always exceptions to that but this is about opinions. I am making a game about the exploration of human behaviour in relation to sexual disorders and deviance. While the primary 3 out of the 5 currently planned characters (including MC) are related, the goal of the game is not to get into their pants but to help them sort out their problems that stem from a troubling past. While there will be options to pursue relations between family members it will be equally viable to play through without it.

i think it's harder to imagine a female as being an instigator of incestual relations, at least from the perspective of a non nymph character. At least from my experience women tend to be more family minded. though that would be an interesting jumping off point for a Mother/Son Sister/bro perspective. a Fiercely over protective mother or sister spent the son/bros teenage years scaring off his (as they saw it) unworthy suitors, eventually discovering they have taken it far past the point of protecting his interests. I can see how that might skew the son/bro into thinking nobody is good enough or conversley he would start to follow their example and find fault in their chosen or potential partner. would require some clever writing to make it a good story but its an idea

Hahaha I feel you, bro. Well, to be sincere, I just want to try to be the one behind the script and the coding for the first time in my life. I'm old and experienced enough to know that'd be a nightmare but i kinda like where is this going.

I'm going to do this as a hobby without requesting any money. It's more like an opportunity to share what I like with you guys. Gaining money and trying to fulfill all the expectations of my backers would be too much pressure to handle. I just want to know what do you expect because I'd like to hear what the common player wants and compare it to what I want.

On the other hand, I'm not planning to make the best incest game ever. It'll actually be an amateur game with amateur characters (hehe), but at least I'm gonna try and share. Thanks to your comments now I know, for example, that some of you are into pregnancy topics. It's not my favorite theme but I can give it a try and see how much fun it'd be.

And yeah, the situation is already touchy enough without involving rivals, etc. Sure, there's the drug/spell/mind control route to get the ball rolling, but getting things there on their own accord story wise without using those crutches is something that we don't see done well all that often.

And if you aren't a 'Shakespeare' level writer, don't pretend to be. Write to your strengths, and if you just want to 'get to the bangin' so to speak in your story, don't overcomplicate things.

Example:

One thing that we see in porn videos a lot, but I personally haven't seen much of in porn games, is the 'girlfriend invites your sister to join the two of you in a tryst' angle. She can talk up how good you are in bed to your sister over several days, and of course your girlfriend has that incest 'kink' that she wants to see/be involved in, so she slowly seduces the sister to the point where things happen...

And, just to make things more interesting, the MC has no idea this is about to happen, until he looks down and sees sister sucking his dick (she sneaks in after things get going, and the GF may have put a blindfold on him, etc.). He thinks about stopping it, but sis is doing such a good job... and the fucking commences from there.

Then, of course, the brother and sister avoid eye contact for the next couple of days, because neither wants to admit how much they really liked it. Eventually, though, their biological urges take over and they go hog wild...

The thing that makes this fun and different is that in this case the male MC isn't chasing his sister, and that can be a surprise plot twist that he doesn't see coming.​

He hasn't met her now fully grown kids yet, and has only seen their 'younger' pics, so when he meets her daughter, he finds out that her daughter is the one he slept with earlier... and of course the mom has another daughter... and he has his own kid (a son)... yeah this is step-incest, but still has lots of potential.

You can flip this, and have the son fuck some older cougar type gal, and then he finds out that his dad has married said cougar... you can combine these two variations as well, if you really want to get things going quickly...

Really, there are so many 'plot devices' from porn that you can use to get things rolling. It's dovetailing them into your story that's the trick.

Myself, as long as the story is somewhat plausable, I'll buy it, at least for the purposes of an adult/porn game. I just don't like seeing many of the gals in these stories acting like stupid naive clueless young ladies that don't have brains in their heads... intelligent gals have sexual needs too!

Yeah. Like I said in another post, it's all about doing something that's plausible and not just meant to skip straight to the fucking.

As hot as it is, we don't really care about the characters if we skip straight to the fucking which is why I think a good story helps add more to it.

Incest Story 1-2 did a passable job as far as a story is concerned, but using blackmail to fuck your mom, aunt and sister is really really dickish. By the time 2 comes around, they have genuine feelings but imagine if they did the actual "Story" part of the title?

That's all I'm saying. The gameplay and animations can be on point, but if the story isn't plausible, that's a ton of points off from the overall experience. I'm a sucker for romance stories and seeing relationships blossom, so that's probably why I like the idea of a story focused incest game.

I'm no developer nor an animator, but I've always wanted to try my hand at a script for one of these games. I won't say any of the incest games out there are bad because it's unique stuff from individuals who actually have the courage to put it out there, but there are clearly games that are better than others.

What I really want/expect on incest games is:

1. The ability to build up a relationship.

• I think I need to make a connection, a mix of feelings, desire and moral conflicts with the characters in order to enjoy the sex scenes. I need to know what the mom/sister/aunt are doing in their life, what are their strengths, what do they like to do, what are their dreams, etc. I also want to know what can I do in order to let them know how I can be more trustful/important/attractive/seductive in their everyday life. If, for example, the male MC doesn't take any risks and the sister/aunt/mom magically sucks his cock, then it won't feel worthy.
• I enjoyed DmD because you had to build up the relationship with the daughter (I know she was kinda dumb, but that's another topic), know her interests, her friends, her dreams, and all that shitty stuff. I really felt she was like a daughter to me, I had to contain myself ir order to not to do something stupid and play well my cards.
• I also liked Incest Adventure because I had to farm a lot in order to progress and the enemies/bosses were PARTIALLY related to the story (that's enough for me), and also because the CG/animations were very rewarding. I remember that the mom didn't approve the idea of fucking his son at first and I liked that, because incest (for me) is about crossing the boundaries... that means that if I have a slutty mom then I don't really feel the boundaries.

2. To have a lot of story-branches.

• This can be applied to any game, not only incest. Oh, and this is hard to do, story-branches are fun but really hard (or tedious?) to make. I remember using Twine and writing, and writing, and writing and copying... and moving variables, etc. So, If I see a game with good and complex story branches I'll always take out my hat to the person who made the game.
• Why is this important to me on incest games? Well, because if I want to make a move on my mom/sister/aunt then I want to face the consequences, I want to face the consequences of incest-themes. It's sad (but completely understandable) to watch the game over screen when you make a dick move on your relative because you really wanted to know "what would happen if..."
• BUT... You don't always have to be a dick, you know? you can maybe approach to your relative choosing different conversation topics... progressing the story with your topics of choice and receive a reward according to what you have worked. That gives a lot of replay-value to your game. I'd love to try different ways to approach a mom and see what happens at the end of the game not just seeing a game over screen thousands of times.

I have one or two more ideas, but this are the most important to me...

I can only say this from personal experience with my own project each branch doubles your workload...interdependent...inter-penetrative branches add to that significantly...be careful...especially if you got quiet a few characters to choose from.
Than again it hasn't really been done yet in an incest game I think as most opt for the easy "harem" route some questions can only be answered by well written branches: ...what will your mother say once she find out about you and your sister...does it lead to abortion/therapy as it should or something else entirely...intriguing if done right indeed.

If it isn't for the typical brain dead abusive redneck kinda family that does it in real life I can't imagine a plot that would actually make incest believable but feel free to prove me wrong it certainly is the reason why so many dev's struggle in my

Things I like:

- Lesbians, preferably mom-Daughter
- BDSM
- The Corruption theme
- Science-Fiction, cyberpunk or fantasy setting
- lingerie and high heels
- character customisation (maybe with the option of choosing the protagonist's sex. I'd go for lesbian action in any case, but others prefer male characters because they want to identify with the protagonist)
- If you absolutely insist on a male only protagonist, please make it mom-Son, maybe with a sister and aunt in addition, not some father-daughter stuff.

Things I don't like:

- overly youthful characters (goes for both sexes)
- rivals in most cases, though there are exceptions (see below)
- futa or trans characters (sorry, I respect trans people in RL, but in porn I prefer women without dicks)
- grinding mini games for money
- difficult battles - There are games, that should be a challenge. Porn games are not among these.

Possible story lines:

- Eileen (name can be changed) grew up in an orphanage, where she had a rather tough childhood and youth. With the age of 23 she finds out, that her physical mother Abigail (name can be changed) is still alive and now living the life of a kind of "Stepford wife" to a wealthy politician. To get a rich man, she put away her daughter, who now seeks revenge. Over time Eileen gains Abigail's trust and then seduces her into a lesbian affair. After some hot lesbian action, she reveals that she is Abigails daughter. She also reveals that she filmed some of the lesbian action and by that blackmails the milf into more kinky action.

- Dad dies and passes all his wealth to his daughter and leaves nothing to his wife. The daughter decides to take advantage of her beautiful, but in the beginning quite prudish mom. To continue her wealthy lifestyle the milf has to pay favors to her daughter. In the beginning it's just the occasonial massage or kiss along with wearing a maid's outfit at home. But the corruption continues until she becomes her daughter's sex slave.

- In a dystopian world, a daughter (or son, sigh) has served as a psionic agent in the final stages of the world wide war. She earned quite some wealth there and is now able to provide a home for her mom, two sisters (or brother and sister, sigh) and aunt - but at a price...
