As someone who has used this type of "service" before to try games myself before buying them after being burned by a lot of supposed "triple a devs" (I got into Shadowrun Returns as a total novice to the PnP game for example and have bought all 3 games since) I agree it's not an all or nothing scenario. But I've also played games and enjoyed them and not shelled out for them, or I've downloaded games I owned on another system and justified it that way.

And it's great it's working for that dev but it's still anecdotal evidence. Unless someone can post some real statistics on how much it hurts or helps the porn game industry I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to not agree with this site's premise as a developer or otherwise. So I don't feel Proxxie or any other devs owe anyone here a shred of respect, myself included even if I am subscribed to Proteus (found the game through TFgamessite anyhow). Not to mention the fact that this game and a fair number others post public versions 1 version behind, all anyone has to do is wait (except maybe some of the games that exclude some minor or major portions of the game in the free version, but that's still their choice and it's a free demo)

Anyways, not excusing my behavior or condemning anyone else's but I don't think it's unreasonable for a content creator to not like the premise of this site.

The dialogue is fantastic, it keeps up the humour all the way trough and it just has good feel to it. Reminds me of Unteralterbach's dialogue with it being heavy on references.
The author could be working in some actual game company.

As for the endorsing piracy other devs just seem to accept they can't do anything about it and simply respond neutrally. It's fine to not interact but doing so is probably not going to lose more patrons than it brings in.

I’m currently working on 0.3.1, which I expect to have out in a few days, then it’s full steam ahead to 0.4!

I really liked this game, it's well written with a lot of humor and the story is plausible if you accept every science fiction aspects :).

What surprised me the most is that the lack of CG (they are very rare) didn't bothered me. Because the game is great, it's a real RPG. And because the few CG scenes are good !

I hope the next version will be as good !

v.0.3.1 Changelog:

Added feature: easy modes. Each dungeon (and also Celie's healing event) includes a torch near the entrance that can be used to toggle between easy and normal modes. In easy modes, generally speaking, you'll take less damage, stuff will move slower, and the things that are hard will be less hard. I doubt anyone will have a problem clearing easy mode content, but keep in mind there is a price! My plan is to have special H-scenes, probably one every 3-4 dungeons, that will only be viewable by players who have cleared the previous dungeons on normal mode. Note that I do not plan to penalize players who clear Celie's healing event on easy mode.

Bugs fixed:
Darin’s Mill soldier event now works properly if you leave town before its completion
Player can now return to Elian and Celie’s after beating mountain dungeon (as intended)
Player can no longer walk through some objects in Darin’s Mill
Game no longer incorrectly tells player they’ve reached the end of content in Oswin’s tower
Spider sprite fixed

Not currently (though i haven't played the latest update). One of the characters is a futa, so depending on your preferences kinda (I've seen some people count futa as lesbian). Though it's still fairly early in development in terms of scenes, so there might be more later on.
