If you think Akabur was working on this for 5 months you're sorely mistaken. Take one look at his Patreon posts and comments, half the time he talks about being obsessed with some new Playstation game and how much time he's spending playing it and how awesome it is. You are absolutely correct in that he's milking his Patreon, he's practically said as much in comments a couple of months back. I'm paraphrasing because I'm not going to go searching for it, but the quote was something close to "As long as I can pay my bills, I don't care"
Akabur is not shy about his slow production speed. He says it often, and I guarantee you he's surfing along comfortably on that sweet Patreon cash while he does minimal work each month. I had high hopes for SC34 but honestly that game is really stale as fuck, there's almost no actual sex content and it's just a few nude images of the girls dancing or some shit. I'd love for Akabur to actually give a fuck about making good H-games again but that ship sailed after Witch Trainer was released and he set up his Patreon.

I am not kidding about that. SC34 started Development after Gold, 2016 but the concept was established on his Facebook in 2015.

That post there is when he told us about wanting to do a Space Sim. He was working on ways to implement movable objects (The stages) and was doing BHB in order to learn more about doing stuff with backgrounds.

As far as I remember he only changed the Patreon description to tip-jar after he got shit for raking in a lot of money and not really doing anything. And he did care about money quite a bit at some point.
Anyway, this is probably not the place to discuss it and you're certainly right about the procrastination part.

Loved this one. A nice change of pace from all the family-fucking simulators that are in 0.01 Alpha with some renders and porn tier writing. Akabur might be kind of a gopnik, but at least his stuff is hand crafted and, like, a product of love
