Java - Tales of Androgyny [v0.3.43.4] [Majalis]

I have legitamately played hundreds upon hundreds of vns and porn games. This absolutely ranks at the very top of the list in art quality alone. I really hope the authors continue doing what they do best.

This is one of my favourite games of all time. It's very good if you're into exploring different kinks and submissive main characters. Not only the porn is great, but the characters, gameplay and ambientation too.

The Game is perfect for everyone who loves to be Dominated/Loved by Futanaris. I really can recommend this Game. There are also so many different ways that you can go through the Story that's unbelievable. The Combat System is a bit off pain in the Ass sometimes cause of the reason with healing and food sometimes but makes it on the other Site more realistic.

To avoid tangent in the middle of the review let me set the history I got with this and why my feelings towards art might be very biased. I was following Majalis hentai foundary account before this game was even a thing, back then sub aimed content in general was not all that common, and even more rare if you wanted male sub content, art or stories, there were sites where you could get a concentration of stories at least but they were mostly shit.
So I completely latched onto Majalis stories and art because it was so much up my alley, so having followed the artist for long time before playing this I already liked the art style and the writing (though I don't think I'm being swayed for the writing that much, its just good).
Art style is definitely very subjective thing and even more so here because its not a very typical one. For me its 5/5 but I would be remiss if I didn't mention why I like it so much. Animations while pretty basic because they are also stylized (cut out parts animation just kinda looks cool, idk why don't @ me).

Art covered so what about gameplay? Pretty good, not the best porn game gameplay but decent, and definitely the best in-combat sex.

Writing: I personally really like pretty derogatory fantasies, but there is a limit in how cruel something can be before it just feels bad to read, this one never crossed that line even in numerous bad ends.
As for who this game can appeal to... while there are some scenes where player tops others, they are much fewer than player sub ones, and since I never even touched them I can't really say anything about them, therefore I can only recommend this game for sub experience.

Amount of content: big, unlike certain protag's body part. This game for a long time had a steady trickle of content, normally trickle wouldn't really be that impressive no matter what your gf tells you but when I say steady I mean weekly updates, it really adds up in the long run this has way better rate of content being added or old one being granted art than other games of this genre. And they strike a good balance of adding new stuff while improving old, not getting stuck remaking old stuff.

Since this a porn game, you obviously get the opportunity to do the segs with numerous NPC's.
But if you do this, the dev's will constantly tell you how bad of a person you are for doing it. You will be slut shamed throughout the whole game. The devs will confront you with an NPC with the opportunity to fuck them, and then point and laugh at you because you did it.
And the combat system is unnecessarily convoluted and complex.

Initially I was kinda thrown back. Booted it up, and there was a lot of character creation bits I didn't want to learn, and no "beginner build" easy option. When I started playing, without caring too much about the details, game over can come pretty quickly, and the combat system is far from simplistic. And then I got to the kinky art, it was mostly a few still images and a lot of text. Why have people rated this game so high?

But I stuck with it, and have now played for quite a few hours, and have managed to beat the end boss. The graphics, while cartoonish, is tastefully done, and there are some good animations in here too. For the most part though, scenes are one or a few still images with a lot of well written text.

Definitively interesting if you like to be dominated. Don't expect to always be topping. You ARE playing a sissy/trans character after all. If that is not to your liking this game is not for you.

Some clues for people like me wanting an easier start by getting a bit of information about game mechanics.

- There is a fan wiki with lots of useful information
- You get achievements for various tasks. When you get achievements, you get bonus points for character creation of later characters. Achievements gotten in ironman mode is tagged + (in progress screen in main menu) and gives twice as much bonuses.
- Many of these achievements are game over situation showing you a unique scene before game over, meaning, when you lose, you may be restarting with a bit of a starting bonus. When you have gotten a grasp of the game, you may want to search up on achievements and do some ironman runs to get some bonuses.
- Losing combat, often doesn't end up in game over situations, but instead you getting raped, regardless of you getting to no hitpoints, or if you surrender.
- There are random probabilities or uninformed choices that makes you lose the game, which feels a bit unfair. You may need various stats/skills to avoid some of the game over situations. So there's quite a bit to learn if you want to get through all the encounters. Would be useful if options being game over is tagged game over once you have fallen for them once at least, so you didn't have to remember them all.
- If you don't like sissy on man sex, you can enable futa+ in options, to get most men into looking more like dickgirls instead. Few men in the game to begin with though, and some like the male goblin is pretty feminine to start with.
- When you do skill/stat checks, you seem to get the option to succeed/fail. I guess it's to make you fail the check on purpose if you want.

Also huge thumbs up to the devs that keeps the game alive..

Some bits I think woulda made the game better:
- More images in the sex scenes.
- A way to make the text not hide so much of the scenes.
- A way to view the chat log at all times. For instance when you get to a decision point or game over window. (Game has repetitive elements, so at least I tend to skip dialogs I think I've seen before)
- When skipping through text, make it harder to unintentionally also skip through the decision. Ctrl shouldn't skip through skill checks, and mouse clicks shouldn't select an option unless mouse pointer is on an option.
- Better overview of what quests you have started, what bit you are on, and which you have completed.

All in all, quite a bit of complexity in here for an adult game, so challenging to get into it. There are in game tutorial bits, but there are still many bits I'm not sure if I've got correctly after quite a lot of playing.

This project is one of a kind, and even though I have a lot of critique for it, the very fact I spent around 8 month exploring it and finding things to do with it forbids me rating it with anything but 5*



To begin with, this game is all about futa×trap and a bit of trap×male tags. It's fairly new, but already popular blend, and if you think you have a strong dislike... maybe you're lucky, wk. The art style is not bad, but it also can be not everyone's thing. Though the game isn't necessarily all about slideshow.

It's kinky game, but it knows how to not cross borders of sick fetishes and stay in around normal zone. A lot of anal; licking ass and balls is not uncommon. A lot of domination over the chatacter. Bestiality... Get ready to lose some purity.

This game is very big. Firstly it's big on various text scenes. They were actively writing stuff in the course of 4 years non-stop. It already contains enormous amounts of various porn tags, probably most of those you could think of. Wanna work in Brothel? You can do it for hours. Wanna crossdress? You will. Chastity cage? That's a mechanic.

Theare are many characters, 30 or more, each one is unique, each has branching dialogue scenes, most can be met in different circumstances. Seriously, get ready to play for months to see everything there is.

Gameplaywise – yes, it's a game – it's a mix of turn-based rpg with stance-based combat and a visual novel with insignificant elements of dating sim. You have customisation, and you will get regular checks in Stats to decide outcomes of your actions to get acces to new scenes. Prepare to save, prepare to lose and learn from losing. The balance... it could be better. The newbie start is rough, but you can find some skills and tricks that will carry you in any situation, while things like magic and most other moves are really underpowered. There's grind of achievements, but you don't really farm anything else. If you get out of resources on your way, you may be screwed.

There's a whole system of statuses, how pure you are, how dignified, how much willpower can still muster, plus sex acts and lost virginities count. You can get addicted to being used by certain creatures and get a Game Over of becoming their slut, you can get out of food and get screwed in the butt by a forest beast when unconscious... Generally there's a lot of fun if you get into it. The game has wiki and this very forum to help you. The probability you won't find anything of your liking is very low. So, you're welcome to try.

I really like this one it's crazy like Corruption of Champions big bonus that it has tons of futa so as a futalover it rare gem. Rounded off by great artwork gets quick into the action and plays simple also has quite some content .
Definetly not everyones cup of tea even if i don't enjoy playing sissy characters being abused that much it just does the scenes and domination very well probably could be just 4s but as a futafan it's easy 5 many other futa content games aren't that well.

Summary

Game with interesting unique concept and great art, but sadly it is unpolished mess. Wasted potential. I really wish I could give this game 5 stars. I have been following it for years and try to get into it every so often, but the gameplay is awful. Sadly I am giving up my hope on this game.

Story/dialog

Most of the time the dialog is pretty good, but at times it gets frustraing because game throws paragraphs of long and boring dialog at you.

Gameplay

I love the idea of a turn based combat mechanic, but the combat in this game is way too complex and annoying. It seems like the game developers at some point gave up on polishing the game and now they just add more content to keep people subscribed to Patreon. Most of the combat options are unclear and pointless, you can make a simple build that wins pretty much every encounter. Other times you just lose and it feels frustrating. You basically need a guide to play this game or spend lots of time doing frustrating trial and error.

The gameplay in general is too grindy and repeatable. I love the sandbox games when they are done right, but this game just makes player grind more to prolong the playtime. It is not fun. There are also annoying mechanics like hunger that add no value to the gameplay, because they are not done right.

Game has quests, but there is no hints about your current quest. Let's say you accidentily skip the dialog where you get information about your quest, there is not way to even know you are on a quest.

Sex scenes

Sex scenes are amazing. Most of the content is very hardcore, so it's not for everyone. You can do a lot of insane stuff you would not experience in any other adult game.

This game is fun! Yeah, it makes your question your sexuality but it's still fun. I like that I can play different classes for different play throughs however, I feel that regardless of class choice there appears to be no unique dialogue changes regardless of my class or skin color choice. Also, I don't find the game too challenging either. Often times I find myself in a position (no pun intended) where I end up avoiding most enemies or simply left clicking attacking through all my battles. I guess what I am trying to say is that combat felt a little repetitive. Overall, games still fun and I look forward to seeing it when its complete.

I keep coming back to this game, and it never fails to deliver. Be assured that what you'll find here is more developed than most of what you can find on the site (even for some finished games). The frequent updates constantly improve what's here. If the description or tags interest you, you'll love this game.

This game will remain undisputedly my most returned to game to eagerly check every update.. I even pay on patron but use this site to follow its updates better lol.

When I first saw this game I wasn't completely sold on the character design for the art. So I didn't try playing it at all... for far too long. And that turned out to be a mistake on my part.

When I finally did give it a chance, I was able to see that a lot of effort is put into said characters and their artwork. Similar to the writing style, which really stands out in it's creativity when compared to a lot of other lewd adult games. It definitely won't be for everyone but if it is, well, then it should be quite satisfying to engage with.

As for actually playing it, I thought that the core gameplay loop was fine as is the combat. Apart from some of the combat mechanics seeming superfluous for the most part, I had no problem with that area. I think the only real complaint I have at the end of the day is regarding the quests.

There are quests which are extremely sparse in details when it comes to progressing the questline. I have no problem with games that don't telegraph exactly what to do, or hold your hand the entire way, however this is the other extreme. It mostly seems to be a combination of trial and error involving different status conditions/equipment when engaging the various characters you meet. It can be frustrating when your sudden, seemingly bright, idea to about where to go next just turns out to be business as usual.

Overall though I find this game to be quite entertaining, with a certain charm to it. I would say if you find the themes that make up this game to be interesting, then there's definitely a lot of fun to be had.

I love this game and it gave many hours of happieness and i would love to be a patreon but i cant afford it at this time in my life.
I hope they keep working on this wonderfull game and i hope one day it will be one of the best porngames on this platform

Open world rpg with sandbox and story modes, with Character creation/customization and nicely developed fighting system, with combat/defeat/win/casual sex... and even more, let's give it bonus (+) at first!

2) Characters are well made overall, every goblin/bandit/random monster has it's own believable personality. (+)
3) Combat system is very good ever for non adult, non Indie game. (+)
4) Game setting and fetishes are not for all but... even in game about girly sub MC, you can try roleplaying domineering topper or eternal virgin... or Just as intended) (+)

Even though fetishes are not my cup of tea, this game provides epic rpg experience. Worth 6/5 now and really gets even better with every new update. Developing goes balanced way and that's good indeed.

A good core of a game that is held back slightly from quite reaching the peak by a few gameplay elements. It is completely dedicated to its single fetish of girly boys and big-dicked ladies, so you aren't rooting around through content you don't like to find something you actually want. If you don't like the main content, there isn't anything here for you, which is honestly refreshing.

Combat actually feeds into the lewd systems for once, unlike the vast, vast majority of games. However, many of the mechanics and much of the story punish you for engaging with the pornography, which results in a strange tug-of-war to get what you want out of it while not running your character into the ground. The food/hunger system, even after adjustments, still gets in the way of playing the game. If you're not playing the game with the cheat for not having hunger counting down, you're going to spend far too much time on managing not starving and far too little time actually getting what you want out of the game.

While many praise the art, it has a good deal of problems. Nobody has consistent proportions due to everything being exaggerated in whatever way the artist feels like at the time. It can be titillating and even quite good at times, but other times can jar you out of the sexuality. They have spent a lot of time adding animations to the previously static scenes. Unfortunately, a lot of these animations actually detract from the art with improperly animated layers, jerkily robotic movements, and easily seen seams. I would say that the game would be better off by returning completely to static images and tightening up the existing art rather than trying to turn them into animations.

There has been a lot added to the game since I first played the game a few years back. It's become impressive. One complaint, though, is that actually accessing certain pieces of content takes navigating events in specific ways that aren't signalled well in the game. Most scene variations are easy to figure out and guess. However, some slip by with complicated prerequisites. Others can only come up once in a character's tenure.

Honestly, the existence of the "story" mode and the "free roam" mode seems a bit odd, as if one was only added to have a justification for locking content behind patreon. The usual "last month's update is free" model should work fine. All the two modes do is make accessing the content you'd want to play more difficult, as some parts are only accessible in the "story" mode, which makes it impossible to access the majority of the content, which only exists in the other mode. It's mostly just confusing.

In the end, I do recommend Tales of Androgyny. I play a bit of it at least once a month and would return to supporting it if I get income again some day.

The absolute best game there ever was or ever will be for futa/trap content. If that's your kind of thing then this is without a doubt the most beautiful piece of work you will ever come across.

I not only salute Majalis for their incredible art, game, dialogue, fetish satisfaction, and overall badassery by actually giving a shit about what we ask at f95zone... I mostly salute them for keeping up with their promises, delivering timely and amazing updates, and just overall being chads.
