Good:
Some of the best writing on the site. Not just fluent in English but actually talented. Incredibly debauched without being edgy or gross, and witty without being self-indulgent or cringe. I actually genuinely chuckled playing this and I don't think that's happened with any other game on here.

Outstanding art. Fantastic animations; I only wish there were more of them. Unlike a lot of other games that attempt the same concept, this one is indeed fappable, provided the tags are to your liking.

Neutral:

Obviously YMMV but in case this wasn't clear to you; this game is heavily focused on futa, sissification, and submission. You might think that because the game is advertised as an RPG with battlefuck mechanics that the player might have agency to be a chad hetero top, but this simply is not true. At this time there is zero cis hetero male on female art and if that's a deal breaker for you, you better give this one a pass. What "top" content exists is exclusively bussy, and much of it is neither animated nor even illustrated yet.

Bad:
The battlefuck mechanics are paper thin. They do not do anything other than add some flavor text, although there have been an increasing amount of at least cookiecutter animations and art for specific movesets. So far there seems to be very little difference in just surrendering and getting nearly identical, sometimes even more, H content without having to navigate the over complicated yet pretty shallow battle system. Often with zero consequences or bad ends.

The RPG elements like your attributes (STR, DEX, CHAR, etc) do little to influence the actual "game" part of the game other than simple pass/fail stat checks in dialogue or unlocking new options and scenes for the same.


TLDR: If you're into futa on trap and you try to treat ToA more like a sandbox VN with some light RPG elements and try to ignore the actual game part, you're in for a really good time.

" The initial info barrage was overwhelming. A bit of dedicated gaming instead of frantically looking for NSFW stuff really brings out fun and Allure (wink wink) of the game. Started with a Charisma dumped charecter and had too many failures. Playing with different builds and the fun (and other things) grows. Seem I still have a bunch of scenes to unlock to which I look foward too. Awesome game. can't wait to continue playing and look forward to more content

Really love this game. You can be as dominant or submissive, as prude or slutty, as you want. If you want a happy ending - you've got to earn that happy ending. And if you're stupid enough - you can even be killed. And even those death scenes are really hot!

This game is.. amazing!

the world building and effort to make content throughout all of development, the bugfixes, the smoothness, most teams would end development here, or drag it out with fruitless patches to keep the money rolling in but every time i return to this game it's so much more and the workflow doesn't change!

The only con i can give for this game is an overwhelming amount of futa content, but who cares?? it's hot! and this game is so extensive that it contains even straight content despite being a dominant futa game.

The artistry is incredible, there are many fully animated scenes with an area of fetishes that are so well accounted for and each of them avoidable to some amount if you choose the right options.

A good thing this game does is not fail at is being a game, in depth combat, skills, character building, advanced stat calculations and all of it tying into the adult themed narrative, be strong, never lose and always scrape the odds in your favour? happens after a few runs! frail, easily manipulated and taken control of? this is how the game will treat you if you don't adapt, whatever is hotter to you, you can always control this aspect even if you're strong (you can purposefully fail events that check your stats to give a "good" or "bad" outcome)

This game is an absolute perfection of it's category, i will buy this game if it ever gets to the god status of completed, if you bomb the ratings down on this game just bc it has cocks and you're a straight man, shame on you

I love the main character.
The art and animations are the best ones on these site.
A good gameplay with a wide variety of little histories that can end in lots of ways depending on what you do.
And a very useful gallery if u know what i mean

If you're into playing as a trap/sissy and like futa's or big butts, this is a game for you. You should know what demographic this is for, it's called Tales of Androgyny, so don't get put off by your character being a trap with balls. The game wears its theme on its sleeves. You don't like being a character that either gets fucked or stays pure, don't complain. Kinks are submissive-leaning with game mechanics meant to be difficult enough for you to actually fail in combat, though I always cheated on the game so if you're not having fun, do the same. Don't dislike something because you can't adapt to it, because you personally don't enjoy the kinks, hate on it when it doesn't have any love on it. And this has plenty of love put into its creation. The thing I love the most about this game are the frequent updates, many minor tweaks and changes that are quality of life or adds a scene or two. Sure, may not seem like much, but it will leave the next person to try the game even more great content to enjoy. Hope those in the future have an even greater experience than I did when I first played, because this was one and still one of my favorite porn games of all times.

When I first stumbled upon Tales of Androgyny, I immediately dismissed it as something that wasn't for me. "No way!" I exclaimed, definitely out loud, "that's gay, and I'm not gay." Lo and behold, one bisexual awakening later, it turns out that this game is... actually pretty damn good!

There's a lot to cover with ToA. I've barely even explored the second map, but the amount of content in this game is genuinely really impressive. The smut scenes are plentiful and pretty high in quality, with a surprising variety between topping and bottoming (although it seems like the latter has significantly more content). The actual gameplay part is also similarly engaging, and I think the combat and battle-fuck system mesh really well together.

While the mechanics of ToA are surpisingly in-depth, it's also one of my biggest grievances with the game. Shoving a bunch of new concepts in a new player's face at the same time can certainly be a turn-off for some, but from my experience, learning to grasp and understand those mechanics can feel very rewarding once it finally "clicks."

If you enjoy femboy and futanari content, then you absolutely NEED to try out Tales of Androgyny. ToA has quickly become one of my favorite games on this site and I 100% recommend giving it a shot.

(P.S: The game itself receives consistent updates and progress reports, which is becoming less and less common nowdays. Mad props to the devs.)

The best adult game you will ever come across.

-Great combat with a mix of regular fighting and sex.
-Various options to be dominate or submissive, excellent and dynamic encounters and beautifully animated scenes.
-Romance options may be few but are very worth it with the options available.

and most importantly, TONS OF REPLAYABILITY. After doing achievments in the game you can get rewarded bonus points for your next adventure to improve your traits, starting inventory, and more which makes every playthrough unique

The only two negatives I can muster is that there are very few ways to earn gold and there are only about 5 quests which makes the 'story' or progression feel limited.

I envy anyone discovering ToA in 2023.

If you told me "you can forget ONE game and replay it again", ToA would definitely be in my top 3, all genres included. That's how good the game is.

Has a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, man, it is a fantastic game. Love the strategic part of it and it tie nicely to the graphics.

Also nice that you can pick the way of your character's behavior. Not forcing you into sub.

you need gold for food and armour yet the game doesn't give you any reliable way to get gold, and if it does, the game doesn't tell you at all how to get gold. I'm am completely lost when it comes to the combat is too grindy, too complex and too annoying . It give you no hints about your current quest your on leaving clueless on what I'm meant to do cant remember what the lengthy dialog said or just skip it and overall its completely unplayable without cheat mod which is stupid

For some reason my stats are all stuck at 3 and blue and the game won't tell me why...... Gold is important to not starve and become unable to fight anything.....but the game doesn't have a reliable way to get gold, and if it does, the game doesn't tell you at all how to get gold, forcing you to use cheat mode....Yeah, no idea how to play this....

Can't stress how good this game is. One of the best games in terms of mechanics, gameplay, h-scenes, difficulty and atmosphere. I've beaten it a few times and might do it again in the future, the download is more than worth it.
May not be for you if you're not into futa/trap stuff, but it's very much worth a try. One of my favourite games in here, definitely the one I played the most.

This game getting a 3D version and combat system in a open world game then multiplayer would literally be too awesome, I'm truly fascinated by the artstyle and the story.
This game has so much potential especially because of the fanbase too it has it's own subreddit and they're just memeing around making memes here in F95zone and that subreddit about this game this game shall rise like a morning wood 10 inch cock.

A near perfect game, the animations and renders are amazing, the art is incredible, the concept is hot, and the game runs well. My favorite game on this website, this is a perfect storm where every person on the project puts 100% into it. 1000% worth the disk space.

There is no need to blab about the game, I just want to give the five stars because this game has always been one of the best. There isn't anything that needs to be changed except for the combat, but at this point I just think of it as the dark souls of vns.

Over the top combat degeneracy done really well. In fact if you like combat degen butt stuff (mainly yours) then this is maybe the best. But some negatives there are too.

The transformation so to speak is nonexistent. You start out, virgin androgenous no matter what, and as you play and get your holes stretched out nothing happens really. Your holes becomes looser and what not. Meh. I would have wanted more reflection on the state of your degeneracy. Like "Oh my god i can not believe my virgin bum has been penetrated by a big sweaty bandit futa cock life will not be the same whatever will I do??" you know really interesting quandries like that would be appreciated. Your character goes along with the permanent ruination of their body faar too quickly and easily, which is just a wasted opportunity. It is a point of no return, yet it is treated as if it was nothing. "I have 10 liters of man milk sloshing around my intestines oh well, another day another dollar" Come on

Also, the companions while you do interact with them, I would wish for them to be more involved. Bandit comes in, boom you present your anus (as you do because you are buttslut) and the bandit starts abusing your holes your companions just sit by and do nothing. Or maybe they dont see it because they are too far away. Nevertheless, I wish they would be closer and would see the absolute state of the MC.

But all the different kinds of creatures that use your body in this are great you have orcs, goblins, headless horseman? all with massive cocks. Great stuff. Also the UI is good, visuals are good which are rare for games like this. Good combat whoring game, maybe the best

Tales of androgyny display specific kinks really well, with a lot of scenes, CGs and a somewhat good story.
The story isn't really important anyway as you only need to walk around to find the scenes and battle.
The battle are a bit weird at first but really shows a lot of potential.

I should be more excited about this game than I am. All the good aspects of it: drawn art, "encounter" writing, big butts, anal sex, sex combat hit the buttons with me. However, the game has a major flaw that I could never get over to see more than 10% of the content. Their sex battle system tries to break with traditions and breaks one RPG convention that it should not have. There is no character growth. The level gains are meaninless essentially (if you want to play a sex game as I do by having sex not beating oponents with a sharp stick).
Compare this with a game like Karryn's Prison. The combat there also has some flaws and eventually becomes a grind, but there is progression. Here the skill "tree" is flat and becomes a grind right away. Without fun gameplay it all devolves into searching for "encounters" which makes you ask why not just make a comic. The developers never were able to fix this and they have a dedicated following that probably sees this diferent from me, but I really wish this could be more than what it is. It should let you gradually "improve" your character that should be able to take on more and more enemies that initially would lead to a bad end. Alas it is the oposite, you accumulate a count of black marks until a bad end. This is just an unsatisfying gameplay and ultimately bad design.
If you never tried this, by all means give it a go. The good aspects of it are good, hence the rating of 4.

Damn this game is hot. In only a few years I've seen insane polish/ improvement from this dev. I'm a huge fan of battlefuck systems in RPGs and this one is up there with the likes of Karryn's Prison with how well the visuals mesh with the combat. Can't wait to see even more content and polish
