Alright, best thing is to wait a day, try the TV at night, and work on other storylines until you get something with her. Sometimes, it's best to try at different angles to see what works.

What does it mean the natural flow of events?
I always made interactions with Erik, when he came up. But I did never not look for him, although he is my best friend in the game. Concerning "Eric's greedy as hell and not a good friend." as somebody wrote about Erik, I did not bother about him.
His Mom neither, furthermore I know that I should play poker there, and I do not know poker ruler. Therefore that way was natural for me.
Now I see, that I need Erik.

I'm not talking about the game, but the progression structure I believe DC used. Think of it as branches on a tree. I believe that they have a "natural order" of events and sequences but you broke it. Instead of going A > B > C you went X > B > D just to put it in perspective.

The tree is a very good metaphor. But the tree branches bring you to different places, they do not meet and do not react.
If they meet, that is called not tree, but a net, where you can reach each point from any point, perhaps with difficulties.

So hey, new guy here, just started playing the game and stupid question... how do I use crap from the inventory? I'm trying to get to the attic and the stool from the garage is used to get up there, or so I've heard, but when I click on the attic door nothing happens. I try clicking the stool in the inventory, but nothing happens save for a rustling SFX. I try clicking around, but there's no prompt or anything. Help?
Did you get the key from the coat rack? its by the doorway at the bootom of the stairs between the hat and umbrella
you need the key from room at bottom of the stairs between the hat and umbrella. and the stool on top of the shelves to the left of the car in the garage.

Yeah, I know. Been playing since version .7. But the main thread is polluted with that question. I doubt you can go 3 pages without seeing that, or "how do I get past the girls in the shower"
No no, I got the key. I know that. But nothing's happening. Sorry, should've mentioned that.
EDIT: Okay, after reloading didn't work I just reextracted the game again into a new folder. Got the key and stool like before as according to the walkthrough, and this time it worked when I clicked on the attic. Now I can start the game properly. No idea what the problem was. Since the guide only covers up to 12.7 I may have more questions about new content later. Hope the blond girl has some scenes down the line.

And which is why panty-quest sucks.
You have to cycle through, shower peep and hallway and kitchen in the AM, TV and sleep-creep at night.
There is a list of like 16 other bullshit things that have to happen. Peep on mom, send sis to mom, read sis diary, breakfast in the kitchen, set up web-cam, get TV password from her computer, catch her watching porn, etc.
But you also need to pay special attention to the first thing you say to yourself in the AM, I wonder what x is dong? It should tell you when there are Telescope, Web-cam, or Sensei Training events. That did not used to be in the game and you had to cycle through those fuckers too.
Panty-quest is a grindy, half-ass, badly coded, buggy shit-show. DC's coder would have better served figuring out how to make saves work between versions, rather than make playing from new, WORSE.
