VN - Ren'Py - Completed - Snow Daze: The Music of Winter [v1.6] [Outbreak Games]

A well done hypno game, a lot of hot scenes with the characters, family is all step family or whatever (doesn't make sense, but still raised since birth as family), has some voice acting, Story is pretty decent, a couple runs worth of replay ability, the only singular complaint despite playing the entire game is that I forgot to save at the end, at the end you have a choice between breaking the hypnosis and going to a completely boring ending, or choosing one of the girls, well, I, didn't know that there is the true ending if you choose each option once and then hypnotise yourself. So only complaint was I didn't get every ending instantly and had to replay a bit, so make sure to search up a guide just to at least know there arena couple endings and slightly different routes you can go on, but overall I'd say this is one of the better games on this site, at least a 7-8/10 game.

Really great, especially for fans of MC/Hypno. Full good quality English VA for the girls combined with good writing and covering a lot different sexy scenarios makes up for the limited choices. Only downside to me is that it's pretty linear but still definitely worth playing.

Good simple concept GREAT VOICE ACTING amazing girls and art and even a bit of replayability and the hot sex scenes honestly this is one of my absolute favorite h games my only issue is i feel there could be more done like a sequel

This game has been out for a while now, yet it's flaws remain apparent. The cgs art style is inconsistent and the way the game is structured is kind of dependent on trying over and over again until you make all the right choices to get all the cgs. The hypnosis is, while paced on the time space of 5 days, still sort of rushed and the characters makes a lot of logic jumps while convincung the girls. Also, this is personal but I don't love incest much, even if it's justified in the game introduction as a step-family. However, I am quite biased, so this is not really a fair review.

Don't you cuck me from having 4 girls at the same time with such an ending, boy.

So, I just tried the game. It was really fun. Each girl has a different personality and a charm to them. Every girl has a type and as you progress throughout the story, you can literally see the changes around the room. You get various different scenes and fetishes altogether. It was certainly a game well done. The extra scenes and audios were just a cherry on top. You could even change their costumes. I could hear the voice actors having fun with the project and enjoying it; thanks to the bloopers.
I would have given it a higher rating if there was something more to do like more choices and more scenes, so I could interact with them at my own pace. I would have loved to see more of the content after the hypnosis phase; I guess the game could have a sequel if devs decided to plan something big

This game deserves a 10/10 for the hot as fuck voice acting alone, art is very nice 2dcgs for the win, multiple different cgs in one scene, but the sex scenes are sometimes too short, pretty basic mind control plot with kind of consensual hot incest, there is really not much to say it's a short game meant as fap fuel.

Overall a good game, probably B-tier. I did use the hints mod after seeing reviews about the choices. I completed the game in 2.5 hours and got most of the scenes. You must use the walkthrough mod if you play this!

-Very nice voice acting for all the lines and for every single choice
-Art is good
-Really hot outfits and a decent variety
-The hypnosis corruption is pretty well thought out (the MC is not a complete retard like in some other games)

Bad
-Scenes and text are unskippable, just have to spam spacebar
-Scenes (including dialogue) during the harem end is the same as when you do the invidual endings
-Unsure how to unlock some of the gallery scenes

Full review:

The story is simple, the MC wants to corrupt his whole family during a blizzard and has a few days to do it. I think the MC in this game is a lot smarter than other games with a similar premise. One example that comes to mind is Tamas Awakening which is much worse than Snow Daze. The MC in Snow Daze, whilst is still a shit head, is definitely a bit more clever and actually plans out the corruption, for the most part. I do think the hypnosis is somewhat 'realistic' and it does make the story more believable and therefore more engaging to play.

The characters in this game are decent. I did feel that the girls did have their own personality and were somewhat interesting. It did get a bit weird near the end and felt a lot less realistic but whatever. I have to say the MC in this game is definitely a creep and a bit of an incel which isn't the best, but it was tolerable. The girls were also kinda bitchy but sometimes justifiable (after all MC is a creep). It didnt really affect the game much because we are the ones that are corrupting the girls.

The art and scenes in this game are pretty good. The art especially is really nice and high quality. I do wish there were more CGs or scenes, especially in the bonus room there seemed to be a lot of cut scenes (which were voice acted!), it wouldve been nice to see some more CGs for those. Speaking of voice acting, it's probably the highlight of this game and definitely brought this game up from a solid game to a good game. Another thing I really liked was the variety of outfits and how hot and slutty they were. I do wish the girls kept the slutty outfits on during the sex scenes though. I also don't know why the girls reverted back to their normal clothes at the end of the harem ending, surely they'd be wearing the slutty clothes? The scenes are also easy to obtain using the walkthrough mod since the game is linear. I did see a lot of reviews before I played this game complaining how some choices would just immediately lead to a bad end. It's definitely a weird design choice. However, even though I used the walkthrough, there were still some scenes in the gallery which I didnt unlock (the individual endings with the alt clothes, and the ending where Sarah controls everyone) and I have no idea how to get them. Another issue with the scenes is that the scenes during the harem end (after you do all the individual scenes but before everyone becomes a slave) are identical to the individual ending scenes, including the dialogue. This does just feel a bit lazy and it's even more annoying that these repeated scenes are not skippable.

In terms of lewdity, there's a lot incest and hypnosis (as you'd expect), not much else other than this.

Overall, it's a good game with great art and voice acting, but the ending could've been bettter and I wish there were more scenes. I would still recommend this game, but you must use the walkthrough mod, otherwise it probably won't be as enjoyable.

Certified hood classic, of the 'Family Harem' specialized genre.

This game revealed that I have a fetish for hypno, and broke my heart once I realized people with ADHD (like my partner) are next to impossible to hypnotize.

The characters all have personality, though the MC's particular choices with each are poorly explained, which along with an early game over that isn't well telegraphed are the only real faults of the game.

Especially with the remake coming up, this game is worth a read and I recommend it.

The story is very simple and works fine enough but the game has a lot of problems.

The music is very unfitting a lot of times.

The sex scenes are very vanilla and just boring and they are too short and there aren´t even that many to begin with.

The voice acting is something special in english, but they don´t sound all that good especially the mother, she should be muted.

The gameplay is not good getting game overs is too easy.

The art looks good but there aren´t many CGs so it kinda feels unfinished.

If you want a hypno game you can try it, it isn´t really long.

I usually prefer games over visual novels like this, but this one is really good. If you're a fan of hypno content, you'd be missing out if you've never played this. The quality and quantity of the voice acting really makes you feel like you're in the shoes of the hypnotist, and the varying personalities of the girls are all very interesting on their own, and when they're mixed together they keep all the induction scenes feeling fresh, despite their being 10+ of them in total and each having no unique accompanying visuals. Plus, each character has a unique reason for why the character and we as a player want to hypnotize them. The art is very good, and the combination of standing portraits, cut-ins, and variations to larger scenes hits the balance of freshness of visuals and ease of creation right on the head. Plus, the scenes' backgrounds even change as the house becomes more perverted. I mean, what a small detail they didn't need to include, but it makes everything that much better. Outside of the porn aspect, the humor and character interactions are compelling and interesting, and the overarching story outside of the goal of hypnosis is still intriguing despite the premise being a bit cliché.

Mind control is one of my least favorite tags but this one still has lots of interesting elements to it. Partial hypnosis gives you lots of chances to make choices that will affect the progress in ways you might not anticipate. You can't press skip and sleep walk through this one. The choices have to make sense and provide a nice challenge of trying to decode the 4 girls. I liked their design and though basic, they all had nifty differences in their personalities.

The dialogue writing is top notch. For a fantasy setting, it's as realistic as it gets. Some might not like the MC but other than having issues with his aim of subjugation( if that is you, no point in playing the game) and control, he's fine and his personality isn't needlessly cruel or abrasive.

Overall, this one's highly recommended and getting to the true ending without hints was fun.

> trap choice: instant bad end game over

It is not always obvious which choice is what.

Simple storie, really good content, no fuss, this game is the perfect game to play if you want to do nothing and just chilling on a hentai game. Even the multiplending is easy to achieve. It was one of my favorite VN.

Amazing game with top notch voice acting. The quality of the art is superb and I would love nothing more than to play a game like this again and again. I enjoyed every single moment I spent playing this masterpiece of a game.

One of the worst games I've ever played.

First of all, the MC is a complete creep. He seems not to be able to stand to get true affection, he wants to be "in control" and cries all the time around if things aren't happening by his words but by words from others.

The whole premise of the game is, sadly, that you force / hypnotize your family into doing things they don't want to do with you. So now building up of tension, no slow burn, no real affection.

This is a typical game made from the poor perspective that "being in control", "being a man", "take what you deserve" and all of that would be something good or desirable.

The characters and dialogues are quite boring and while the game not even has animations, it doesn't even do simplest things like show us an animation of the sister laying on her bed. Instead the textbox is telling it to us while she stands there.

To make this whole mess of a game the worst it could possibly be, you have a free choice of how to talk to people, but if you pick "wrong" you'll be punished with less progress with a person. Which means you can NOT play it the way you want, which makes the whole dialouge choices obsolete.

After day 3 when I said something wrong, the game suddenly just ended without any notice.

Timewaste, play one of the hundreds of better games out there. Never seen such an overrated game.

Well put together and funny. There is only 1 thing that could have been a little better. That would be the animation. I haven't tried to make a game yet so I can't really say much and everyone has different tastes so this might be just me. But it just looked like 2 pics being switched back and forth. Like I said I haven't tried making a game yet so I don't know the reasoning behind it but all in all it's a great game to play. I highly recommend to give it a try

This one hurts to give a rating, as I really feel the effort put into it is there, but the concept, and overall execution was just not interesting enough.

Audio was very distracting, normally I am a fan of having VA's, but they were so badly executed/exaggerated and overused in this with the terrible dialogue. If they had reduced the amount of voice lines given to each character to only important dialogue, or during key moaning/sex scenes it would have probably been fine, but as is, it just puts you off through the whole experience.

Not enough H-scenes, the ones they did have were extremely vanilla/cookie--cutter, and some of the more risque-ish scenes felt weird from the voices/dialogue. The raw concept was also pretty bland, typical hypnosis plot, but then the jumps between what they would be willing to do after-x amount of hypnosis seemed too uniform and direct for each given person.

I also think a more subtle 1 hypnotized character, then using said character to help hypnotize another approach would have been more believable, instead of all at once. The random change to outfits each day also really threw me off pace and made me feel weird.

Overall worth a playthrough to most people probably, but it just feels weird to me throughout the whole experience.

I played this game a long time ago. Just a decent game, nothing extraordinary beyond the fact of being finished.

+It is very well crafted and has professional voice actors.
+The design section is well polished, varied and pleasing to the eye.
+The characters have personality, although they can like more or less.

-The story is the cliché of a lifetime in these games: Son doing it with everyone in the house, with the twist that here he uses hypnosis and you have to find ways to unlock all the scenes before the end.

-Overall it's a solid game if it weren't for the fact that it's very very VERY boring. There's nothing stunning, everything feels so vanilla despite having some fetishes.

I would give it only 3 stars but seeing how the general quality of these games is, and the fact that this one is actually finished, I feel compelled to give it one more.
