Could someone with the permissions needed change the tag from male protagonist to female protagonist? Unless something about the story has changed to include a male MC...

Why the fuck would you need cheatengine for?? Just go into the savedata.ini file of this game, and give yourself anything you want.
The file is located here: C:\Users\<COMPUTER NAME>\AppData\Local\S_A_The_Game
Unlock everything in the booth, scroll to the bottom and just replace what is there with the following (if you aven't unlocked anything):

Probably because on first release it looked fucking amazing as a base for the game, and now we have less content than that first release instead.
