the model are meh, the game is old and clearly outdated, the mc is not even a young adult but a child (with a micro penis) who have the same behavior.

The game and gameplay was so bad I never took my pants off while trying to play this game.
I don't know what more you need to know.

Bad storry, bad render, bad animation, terrible UI, no skip button other than esc key and no functioning auto forward button. This is all just filling text but all true.

An actual sanbox game. You could start a quest for freely for a few starting character once un grind enogh stats (wich aren't that hard to grind tbf) and the go whatever you want.

the models are kinda outdated and characters aren't that deep but if you like sandbox game, this is a pretty competent one

Over all I found this VN entertaining. My biggest concern is that I played this a long time ago under it's original title and it seems as though in all that time no real progress has been made.

Another downside is lack of controls in settings, no scrolling back, no renaming MC, etc.

Most of the models are hotter than the average VN models with the over sized boobs and butts that make them look like caricatures of women. The MC looks dated with his really bad hair. The side pics are pretty bad too. Devs should skip those and just use names to denote speaker.

The Dev also seems to waste time with sharing crap as well. The thing with Martin would have been better if we had gotten more content with Maria and Mimi instead and the stuff with Ako wanting the MC to share girls isn't worth it. It isn't implemented yet but I also got the feeling that sharing with Lilly and Erwin was being set up. Also a hard pass.

There are plenty of lewd scenes which are mostly well done but the over all cavalier attitude everyone has about sex actually gets a bit old. There is no investment in the relationships. This isn't a harem set up at the time, it's a series of friends with benefits and some serial cheating. Right now it's really hard to see what the Dev's end game is.

There is room for improvement if more controls were given to the player, characters had more emotional investment in the relationships and also it would be nice to see some pregnancy options.

The grind fest in this game is not normal! The diversity of characters and models is very welcoming, also having different paths and progression, but to unlock any scenes of interest takes forever and most of the time they are very disappointing. If the game had much faster progression it would be quite a good game, but in current state you need to put a lot of hours to get any H-scenes, as the build up is incredibly slow.

What can I say about this game?

Honestly, after two, or possibly three reboots, it's just frustrating

The models are...okay. Nothing overly special but they could be far worse, I guess. The story...keeps being rebranded and changed. Cutting out over 90% of the content from the old game, and slowly, VERY SLOWLY, re-releasing it with a few changes here and there definitely counts as "milking the shit out of your game"

Grinding, too, it a bit of an inconvenience, and while it's certainly nowhere near as grindy as many other games out there, and , granted, you do get hints on what to do to progress the story, I'm especially inclined to refer to this game as "grindy" because after two or three reboots, you just end up thinking "hey, this looks familiar!" - and not in a good way. Again, the story is nothing particularly special. It's vaguely like Big Brother (incredibly overhyped IMO), only you're cousins and aunt-nephew in this one. There's the "will I get rid of this interloper who's making a move on my LIs?" element here too. The rest of the characters aren't really fleshed out much, either. How can they be, when they're constantly being rebooted and tweaked?!

I am of the opinion that the game didn't NEED rebooting...but hell, I could easily have set aside my unfavourable opinion of the sandbox-style of the game, or even a reboot, had things been handled differently, because I did find the initial versions rather enjoyable (not great, but pretty good), purely because of the huge amount of content. Had the dev put the game entirely on hold whilst rebooting it; hell, they already HAD all the scenes they needed, just a bit of reworking would've been fine. They had another game they could've kept on releasing as they reworked this one (which wasn't my cup of tea but people seemed to like)

I'm assuming that everyone who loves this game is, for whatever reason, completely okay with devs milking games to the point of causing a drought, or are simply relatively new and know nothing of the developmental history of this game. As for the "you're not paying!" crowd...there's a reason I choose to support other, more productive devs than ones like this. The fact that it'll likely be a few years before we get anywhere near the same amount of content as the OLDER VERSION OF THE SAME GAME is incredibly audacious

Once again I'm lured by somewhat good overall ratings to check a game and end up extremely disappointed.

It's hard to find anything good about the game. Maybe some models look good in some poses, that's all. But the game is from 2017 and the visual quality is from the same time. I don't know, there are so many daz tutorials available online that it's unforgivable to make renders look so outdated.

The story is unbearable, you play a guy who tries everything to look as dumb as possible and finds every opportunity to embarrass himself. You are forced to do stupid things to progress the story and have even stupider reactions once you are found out, which of course inevitably happens. And of course you get called a little stupid pervert every time, like this is mandatory in every game for adolescents that find happiness in a high school bullying environment on the receiving end. Maybe you need to have a cringe fetish or something like that to enjoy playing as this guy. Btw most of ideas come from another bad game, people probably know which one, but this game somehow manages to look like a worse clone.

I'm really surprised how someone can rate this game high, it's just unpleasant to play. I couldn't force myself to play long enough to see anything erotic except some basic spying, so can't say anything about that, but overall I'd advise to stay away at all costs.

Love the story, love the characters, love how i can pursue different routes and ignore others, love that i don't need to unpack archive to see pictures in file explorer. Also this is one of the very few games i sometimes think of even outside my "browsing sessions". The game is simply captivating.

As many others i am bit sad how much content has been lost from the first version, however things like animations and new stories did made that up in the end.

One small touch i would love in future update - in 1st version Emily occasionally used to eat alone and MC had option to join her on these days. Please bring that back! It fits her so so much.

From the beginning to the end of version 2.8, it took me 22 hours of pure playing time (three days in fact). Just a great result!
I really liked that there is no stupid grind, but there is a gameplay revealing the characters of each character, not every developer so carefully prescribes the characters of different characters. This is very good ! the gameplay is addictive)).

There is an illusion of some kind of choice, where to go, with whom to talk, etc. But... if this is not according to the plot, then there is nothing to do something where you will come and you have nothing to chat with someone not according to the plot... So it can be called VN...
Everything is clear, one more option in the dialogue, one more interaction, one more twist of the plot is all work, more time and labor... But... if you undertake to make a game, do it...

Gameplay - terrible

For the love of God stop adding sandbox elements to the kinetic novels. This is not how you make a game this is how you make an annoying scene viewer. There is no relevant gameplay here, you may as well play cookie clicker and each 1000 clicks look at some 3d CG. Experience would be literally the same. If you want to use sandbox then give player something to do. This game is bad kinetic novel since you have to engage with sandbox and it is even worse sandbox game since there is no freedom just kinetic progression.
Also just because you have a model doesn't mean you have to immediately use it. There are a lot of students who serve no purpose outside of cluttering the screen. Clearly they become relevant at some point but there is no reason to have them in before that.

I just have to give this game 5 stars. Objectively, there may be better games with better renders.
But I love the style and the in-game walkthrough.

But most of all: Every female has realistic or small tits. None of these oversized bimbo tits like most other games seem to feature.
Also, the dick length seems much more average than completely oversized ( between 5.1 and 5.5 inches statistically)
So I really love the realistic proportions.

It has a bit of female domination, which wasn't mentioned in the genres, but that's a plus for me.

I have played both versions of this game over the past couple years and it just keeps getting better. The girls all have a unique personality and are certainly hot. The story is vague but moves along with each update . The MC gets a lot of tail to include several virgins in his journey. The young girls are well proportioned but are petite so if you are looking for mega boobs/cock you are not going to like this game. It is fun and whimsical with lots of very well done renders and animations. I can't wait for each update just to see who our young hero will connect with next. The only issue I have is how to replay events after a new version upload; you have to move the saves over but the replays are not there. Overall one of my favorite that delivers what it says.. a porn game.

Finally, I went through the old version of the game - 1.10, or rather, went through all the paths to Halloween, rewinding time by editing the save. It's just gorgeous!
Now he has returned to the passage of the current version of the game - 2.6. Of course there are many differences. It's like two different games with the same characters. The new version has a lot of pluses, more convenient navigation in the school, improved graphics, the addition of Lisa, but damn it - Lisa is one of my favorite girls.
There are fewer paths - visually, but they are redesigned so you have to play further to figure it out. Dialogues have been rewritten, which also allows you to play without repeating past experience.
In any case, I have mixed feelings. Now these are different games and I think that the loss of the previous version of the game is simply unacceptable. It's like throwing away part of your life for nothing. Of course, developing both versions is already a fairy tale, but I would choose this path if I could tell the author what to do, and since I play for free, I don’t think I have the right to impose my point of view. Many thanks to those who support the project. I am very impressed, this game is one of those that is worth every minute spent on it.

I have been playing games on F95 for a while now and I especially like well built sandbox games. So in case you find this game boring due to a slow builtup, I can understand, but i like these games.

I like these games *IF* progress is visible, and the story continues in a logical way. This is a big big plus for SL&F.


- so many characters, with a million interactions that progress the story
- every moment during daytime the player is invited to really explore the campus, because events are hidden everywhere. You always get a step futher in the different routes
- so many routes to follow, not only friends at school, but also at home. So many steps to built up relationships.
- A good hint system. Especially at the beginning, the map shows where to find new interactions. Afterwards that kind of help is not given anymore. So the learning curve is just right. No need to search for the next step forever.
- The events can queue up, so every evening, day, weekend you will surely have something to do.
- animations can be replayed in game by visiting the conquered love interests
- the pictures graphics look a bit outdated, but the animations have a fairly high resolution.

Another way to put it: the pace of this game is great and rewarding.
That makes a good sandbox for me. I played this non stop for 4 hours.

One of the most boring games I have ever played. No NTR whatsoever!! I played several hours of this game,thinking it was going to lead to a really steamy NTR scene with either the jocks, the black kid or the school bully...but no, nothing, not as so much as a handshake between my girlfriend and these horrible guys at school

Mixed bag here;

The Bad:

Right off the bat I was annoyed that I couldn't name my own character, that's a big pet peeve of mine while playing VNs, this one especially, because the game summary had no mention of the MC having a preset name. *sigh*

I have shit internet, so it majorly bummed me out to have to wait for the game to download only to discover that fact.

Unless the MC's name is important to the plot, I don't see the benefit of not letting the player choose their own name? I don't wanna play someone else's life story.

Got hit with a bug while doing the "introduce yourself to each student" quest that locked me out of furthering the route, so I had to restart.

The Meh:

The UI is fine enough, a bit clunky and a tad outdated looking, but okay enough.

The writing is decent, despite all of the reviews mentioning bad grammar. I was honestly so relieved. But nothing notable enough for it to be considered "good", imo.

Edit: Found more grammar issues as the game went on, sadly.

The character models aren't the best, honestly. They're okay. Pretty grainy. Some girls are cute enough, but nothing mind blowing.


The Good:

The game does a good job of guiding you around the map so you'll never truly get lost.

As mentioned, the proofreader has clearly done a great job of fixing grammar issues. Noice work.

Plus points for a built in money cheat to skip the grind. Shows the dev values player enjoyment over padding game time with mini games and shit.

One thing the VN does very well is giving the player the ability to navigate the school map and explore things, talk to characters, etc. It felt like an actual sandbox-type game.

Overall:

I can't really call it "good", I guess it'd be "average", normally, but I just didn't have much fun. 2*

Big game, big review. Has very big positives but also very big negatives.

[Story]- Another game where the MC is a made man. Story is non-linear, and almost every character has a plot branch(or will). A lot of these characters' interactions will border believable, and you learn everything through a 1st person perspective. The MC trains a lot of chicks. Some of the plot branches are weaved together and intertwine very well.

[Gameplay]-This is the weakest part of this game. It does a really good job of making you feel like you're going to school(good or bad depending on if you want that, I didn't). The beginning of the game has you bumbling around with nothing to do and feeling lost and alone. You basically follow prompts from the questlog to know exactly what to do next, and you need it, because otherwise you will be exploring places repeatedly with nothing to show for it. It serves as a way to guide you along the story without forcing you into it, however, it is really shallow as there is nothing you can do outside of following anyway, despite being able to "free roam". There just isn't anything you can do outside of quest events.

Some events are hidden, as in you have to randomly go to a place by yourself or with a group to start that questline. You can find it eventually, but it's not fun. When all your questlines start progressing, it is really rewarding, but the rest of the time, it is very stale.

But even more annoying are the school lessons. You have to do math, literature, and biology problems, which aren't extremely hard, but I certainly do not like taking knowledge tests on a game. There are also lessons where you can get better rewards if you have the appropriate stat, but you don't even know which stat you will need ahead of time, and the lesson will not repeat, so you lose the chance to see it.

I find the way to earn cash in the game not very well done. It is possible to earn cash only by working to complete the game, but unless you work a lot instead of progressing your questlines, you will not meet some of the requirements for above mentioned one time events. There's an included way to gain massive cash, but it's basically a cheat, and that does not make for good gameplay.

The save slots are pretty horrible, as in you have no idea which save is what except which day and hour it is on. I pretty much saved randomly to slots and can not remember what I need to load from if I needed to go back.

[Scenes]- The models are generally AMAZING. However, the chicks are aliens in disguise, and sometimes they will reveal to you their freaky aliens eyes or rigid hair made of plastic. The scenes can be excellent, but dev likes to not show their head in 40% of the scenes because they have alien eyes I guess. I do not like banging headless chicks, but the other 60% are great.

There is a scene replay feature in the main menu, which is not too difficult to get to. However, it does not have all available scenes. A lot of the activity scenes are omitted, and you can only review questline scenes.

[Bugs]- Hailey was bugged at the park, and I had to search the thread to find the hotfix for it. After doing so, the game would lose music for portions of the questlines until I got close to the end.

If you can overlook the simple and poorly written sentence structure then this is a really great game. There are even times when the characters say the exact opposite of what they mean due to the poorly written text.

It desperately needs a proof read.

With that said, the game is otherwise fantastic if you find young high school girls attractive. It is refreshing to have such young and sexy girls in a game. They actually look like real people.

I prefer sandbox to visual novel, and "School, Love & Friends" nails the sandbox format with a slow building, realistic, build up to actual sex encounters.

Yes, you have to actually play the game (what is commonly referred to as grind), and that is the whole point of sandbox. Using scene progression, time, and player agency the game designer can create sexual tension and sexual build up that increases the payoff when the sex scenes are finally earned. It is well done here, and it works really well with the high school setting.

I also like the fact that there is no perfect ending. A lot of scenes have all sorts of different options and endings. I do save a lot so I can go back and try them all out. I don't find this distracting as the other options are generally interesting. You can replay these scenes in game, or once you have unlocked the scenes you can replay them from the scene selector.

There is no animation tag in the description, but there are actual animations in the game. They aren't technically that amazing, but they work perfectly.

The characters are well constructed both visually and with regards to their behavior. There are a variety of different character types. This is also true of the male characters that the main character interacts with.

Overall, I think this is one of the better sandbox games I have played. The execution and pacing are spot on.

Unity works well for me as a game engine. I have no issues with it. I never encountered any real bugs or problems.

It would be even better with some proof reading. Much of the dialog needs to be re-written, but nevertheless I am giving this 5 stars as it really delivers a high quality, titillating, adult game set in a high school environment with models/characters that are appropriate for that high school setting.
