At most it would get deplatformed from itch. We're all hoping the dev embraces the fan dev and they decide to work together on this project, if Vel kills this then Saria is truly lost I believe. They've been away from social media for a long time.

There's no real hope for this project besides fixing it up to be a complete experience from it's leftover assets. You could add fan art but that would ruin the vibe, better to just make a game yourself at that point with this gameplay and another artist.

Somebody should put a note in the first page explaining what the hell happened to the OG, kinda annoying having to explain it to other people over and over. Tldr - OG got remade into a poorly optimized lackluster VN with barely any content from the before remake, basically shitting on the promises he made. Oh, and the fact that he was unprofessional by acting a whiny bitch and banned everyone who showed the slightest disagreement to him.

He also put his new version of the game on hiatus after a single update. He's working on a completely different game now...

great work, was a fan of the original till the vn update, small issue is text wrap and can we have an option to increase the text box for damage and actions taken during battle. good luck with this.

At least ask Velminth first before you get far and he screams "copyright" in your ear. Also, how are you even going to create CGs and art similar to his?

It's not the art what gave to this game potential. You can tell this judging by reaction on the new update from "scratch", the art is the only thing that haven't been changed. Moreover original art was far from being good. Body looks unbalanced and disproportionate. So if the art will undergo some changes(minor or major) the game won't lose much even if the art will become worse. And in case where new artist fix all the mistakes of original - every one only wins.

And in terms of gameplay just keep optimizing.

The people YEARN for another Karryn's Prison, but I'm afraid neither this or its "original" are up to the task... There's only so much you can do and build up upon off a SCAM.
If the dedication and will is there, why not just make your own game? Why even consider putting that scumbags patreon link in the OP. The only reason Saria got any traction is because of the mere promise that it'll try to be a KP clone, you can definitely do better than rehash this slob.

Good luck with your project it's rare to see these kind of fangames. It's a pretty ambitious project but you can't really fuck it up more than the original already is. But im on the same boat as some other people here in the comment section. Before you actually work on it check the legal side of things please before you have to prematurely end the project because of copyright infringement or something similar.

I'd be glad if the game could be given a stable foundation of code. Making gameplay less monotonous and more stable would also be promising. Art is obviously important, but as things are we won't be seeing shit from the OG, so here's hoping Unfetter is our Messiah. I need that sweet, sweaty tomboy ass...

Not gonna lie since lying is a mortal Sin, but the ( remote ) ( very remote ) possibility of OP becoming the codemonkey to Velminth's drawmonkey would be the dream scenario to this playmonkey.

Take the gameplay, use AI image if needed, make a new protagonist, change the lore of the world and you got yourself much, much less troubles.
As right now, i can only qualify this of blatant thief (yes i know in what kind of site i am...).
Even if i liked this version more, by taking the entire game without changing anything, you just gave the OC all possible cards (get it?) to take you down.
Still best of luck cuz i still want this version back.
