REVIEW

This is not a game. It's a slideshow with mandatory choices and beautiful graphics. You don't play it, it plays you.

Judging by the premise and the screenshots, I really wanted this game to succeed. There are things that definitely suceed - but most of it falls flat the moment MC enters the apartment door. I wish this game would play itself so I didn't have to.

Anyone with an eyeball can see these renders are gorgeous. Gloomy perhaps, but that's a matter of preference. The dev has eye for composition, framing and design. This game looks really A++ and it's where it gets most, if not all it's merit. Hana is beautiful.. the MC isn't, but it's serviceable to a degree. But pretty graphics can only take you so far.

This is not a game. Any choice screens you encounter offer one choice to further the story and other choices prompting a textbox on how you've made a wrong choice. At that point, user choice doesn't matter - so take it out of the game entirely. You wanted the story to be this way, own up to it. Don't give us the illusion of choice after asking for our interaction without a good reason. There was no good reason in the entire game.

Story. I had hopes for this, but it was in total vain. Forget suspending disbelief, this is a male almost-rape porn fantasy which holds little credit to realism. If that's your thing, most of the writing is fine grammar wise. It's just very superficial and skips important steps that add weight to the story. In turn, you won't really care for either Hana or the MC. There are gaps that need serious filling and I'm not talking body holes.

For being called 'Roommate Corruption', the corruption is blatantly non-existent. Even the ending story bit - where the developer franticly tries to justify what the novel made you believe - came as a plot device, not a natural part of storytelling. Hana isn't being corrupted, she stopped being angry after you groped her because she realized after years of abandonment - this is her only way to hold MC's attention. The latter is not bad, but the story would (realistically) be different if that actually was the case.

This product has potential, but seeing as it's now completed - it's not a enticing story and it's a godawful game. Even porn standards can't save that.

Click through this if you want to jerk off and have a male roommate fantasy (complete with deflowering) looking at a super beautiful woman. Stay away if you want anything else out of it.

2/5

FEEDBACK

I'm really on the fence about this game, because I do believe the developer did have good intentions and spent so much time working on the graphics that if 25% of it went into proper story building, this would have been a strong 3.5/5. My feedback may seems harsh and perhaps I'll sound like an asshole, but I wrote this because I believe Loveseekers games have the potential to be memorable. This in my opinion, won't be it even though the styling is fucking gorgeous.

+ If Dev wants to make short porn novels, this is the right track. Better pacing, better dialog around the sex and less complicated stories will help create better novels. More sex, less 'who are you and why does all of this matter' if you end up not caring in the story.
+ If Dev want a game with choices, it's better to learn how story choices should impact the game. Characters need weight and choices matter. Else you'll end up with story holes that you need to use devices for - like how Hana thought about the MC.
+ If you want more realism and psychology for your stories, do additional research on human interaction. If you don't and you want stories to be fun and/or over-the-top, drop the realistic narrative. It's damn near impossible to do both correctly as they clash.
+ Sometimes what is shown on screen isn't what is being described in the text. Anon280 wrote about this in the review.
+ Consider making stories with less confusing backstory if you're just going to keep it about sexual interactions and growing through them. There's no need for all this 'You were my childhood friend, my mom begged your mom, I have exams, what's on TV?' type of content if it's just about the porn. Create hot characters, put them in a situation currently (not getting there) and get them busy. Saves you a lot of work on stuff that took away from this game, in my opinion.
+ Keep up being serious about graphics and most importantly, framing. The framing here is some of the best I've seen on any AVN, with focus to certain body parts of even simple details. It looks a-mazing.

In the tag the dev put kitnetic novel, so from the beginning it is not a game but a visual novel, the path is defined from the beginning

Fair point! I haven't gotten this info from the Steam page, but in my opinion this novel actually works best without choices. Thanks for pointing that tag out, now I'm really wondering why there are choices in the novel in the first place?

Just to be absolutely clear, I want to add that it's not a bad thing that the novel plays itself. I would have definitely like some meaningful choice, but it's not bad if there's just a linear story like a movie. Just don't ever give a player the illusion of choice or interaction in a novel, because then obviously it becomes more than a visual novel. And that's what happened here. Because of this ambiguity, I wanted to start off my review that under no circumstances will you influence this story. Maybe I went into it kind of harsh, if so - I apologize for hating confusing user interaction design.

Thanks again, Fnn90.

Sorry if this is already done,

Here is a mild rewrite of the script that turns the story to that of an estranged brother-sister pair.

To all the people this post hurts: I get it. Unnecessary incest is setting society back.

I might make more of it if they ever finish Spooky Milk Life

EDIT: zip file includes a logo replacement kit for those interested.

Love it Man !!!

To the Developers hope you consider the next game with Relationships Optional.
PS: Also to developers and can you please have some animations; love the renders of this game!!! (y)

True, and that is not the problem imo, but the fact that it says corruption when there is none. Groping her and she instantly liking it and doing whatever you want is not corruption.
Getting it from here, I think it's both. There's no indication it's a kinetic novel, and there really needs to be tags around non-consent, sexual harrassment and borderline rape, while the corruption tag is nonsense. The guy goes where he's explicitly told not to go and gropes her breasts and pussy without warning and later shoves his dick in her mouth. That's not corruption. I lke the look of the game but the story just isn't what it claims to be.
