I'm still confused by the rules, even if I tried to read multiple times their warnings and guidelines.
So in theory I should be safe as long as I don't post anything offensive on the free posts. But I can post whatever I want after the paywall right? Only thing that will greatly limit my reach to my potential patrons, right?

From what I got from reading on Mr.Dots, it seems like he can still make DMD, but it must not have any association with Patreon. So any funding he receives from Patreon must go to a game that complies to their TOS. He has to submit to staff his new game for approval. So porn games are not as of yet getting kicked off, but they have to be pretty vanilla.

Patreon's point of view is that you can't use money obtained via their funding-service to make anything that includes the subject matter listed in the restricted content list. (eg. no rape, no incest, no bestiality, etc..)

As long as your game doesn't include those types of subject matter then you should be able to use Patreon to fund it, if you are planing on including those types of subject matter in your game then you can't use Patreon for that game.

Which is why some games are getting removed off to the devs own website and then post a vanilla game that wouldn't be canned by Patreon. I mean it's shady, but it seems like a good move so that they can continue to receive funding. You just don't mention patreon on your website.

Adult content is 20% of Patreon's bottom line. So actually, at 1/5 of their earnings, I'd say plenty of people are willing to pay for it, and it is plenty of money. The problem isn't earning money on an alternative platform its convincing people to trust you, the new guy, when Patreon already exists. To put it in perspective, you have to think about being a small business owner in a 1 walmart town. Do you try to compete with walmart directly? Or do you offer something walmart doesn't? Put simply its not possible to compete directly with walmart, They'll operate at a loss until you're out of business. So what you do is offer something they don't.

In the case of Patreon, you offer a platform that is free of censorship, and you find a funding mechanism that makes that possible. I hate to say it but there is one, and I hate that it is this, but cryptocurrency doesn't give a rats ass. Its largely untraced and available to be purchased and used as you see fit. It would make it possible to avoid the issue of High Risk as well. You don't have to show your wife what you bought with the bitcoin, so all she knows is that you bought bitcoin. It wouldn't be as popular as Paypal, there are more steps involved, but it would allow anonymity, not show up on your shared credit card as whatever smut you were buying, and it would allow the creators to create whatever they want.
I'm just curious where you get the 20% revenue data from? Everything I've read suggests adult content is <1% of their revenue. But maybe what I'm reading is their projected revenue expectations given the influx of investors? (And it is the investors demanding the scrubbing of taboo content. It has zero to do with "legal" issues, a little to do with PayPal, but almost everything to do with recreating their "brand" to be attractive to venture capitalists).

20 percent is the number of creators. That's still about a fifth of Patreon. They account for 12 of the top 100 for biggest accounts.

It's all over the thread. I took it from here... or maybe the reddit thread, but I think it was here

There is still a lot of inc games that weren't touched. Is it slowing down? Maybe they think people will get the message, and save them the work?

They just hit BB and DMD. The only incest games that are safe are the ones that have been able to hide their incest from the page. Title, descriptions, mentions of relationships, all clean and free of incest reference. It's only a matter of time till everything with family in the title gets caught.

Art looks great as well as premises but they didn't mention paypal so until it's settled we know nothing. With paypal it might be fine but we would need to see how it looks for real and how handy is its functionality

Apparently you can't leak your game on discord either. RIC is official on hold because they are monitoring Booms discord server. So if you have had a suspension you best make sure your release is patreon friendly or you'll still face the ban hammer if you think dropping it on discord will be a loop around their TOS.

Discord should be used for discussion only. Dissemination of content should be lewdpacher, here, or your own website.

It is not that Patreon is irreplaceable. It is just very convenient for developers. They are collecting money on a regular basis without any commitment for delivery. It is unheard of ever before Patreon.

Why not set up a site with all the adult games incest/bestiality developers and create some paypal links on that, so we can support you guys! like setting up a site with Terebonkoff, Inceton, Isctor, Dark Silver, Lewdlab etc. and have the site in sections of the developers were you can support them by donating ;)

The problem is paypal. Some time ago it was not even possible to pledge on Patreon for creators that were producing adult content. They would accept only credit cards.

So probably Paypal will not allow you to move money for such purposes through them.
