To keep it short:
- F95 site steals but prominently shares links to support authors. If user is nice and has money, user can support.
- Game (at the start) stole artist's work but was also hiding it. Even if user is nice, user wouldn't have the info to know if money goes to the artist. Discussion shows change but bad start.

lol I don't see you condemning the literal thousands of HTML games that uses real porn or the renpy games that uses the same/slightly modified 3d models. Why do these games not need to credit anything? What about the music in these games use?
Those are all stolen right? Where's the outrage for those? Literally every AI creation is technically stolen as well.

Dev shouldn't have been so quick to succumb to these hypocrites, artists aren't some special category of people that needs to be protected from piracy, they get stolen from just like the rest.

the dialogues were really good, they flowed well. the characters felt like they had intelligence and personality. the art was also really good, the face expressions and the body lines were well chosen. that sex pose in the teaser was also very promising. honestly would just play it in kinetic format specially cause the game didnt feel like the type thats just wants to make you feel bad about yourself and actually wants to be fun to read.
well sad that it came to an end after one release. the way i see it, the art is gonna go down the drain, and the story is gonna get broken to incorporate choices cause apparently you cant just have a visual novel, it has to be a dating sim too.

Well, a lot of the 5 star reviews come from accounts with under 5 posts.
so either this game is so amazing that a bunch of people signed up to F95 just to rate it.
or something sus is gong on.

also, i recognize the artstyle. at first glance I thought it was that author before I noticed the fingers.
maybe people think it is that specific artist too?

I started my career being hired to hand draw monuments, those drawings were then used on graphic design and books, of course I have my own style and personal touch but since I was a teen I always tried to copy Kentaru Miura, Kentaro and Melkor use a similar type of shading that i love, its the crossed lines shading, I use it a lot when I draw, not a lot, always, does not mean i am stealing from Kentaro, altough AI is different because it is not my hand on every stroke. I do not know if there any issues with Melkor, and to be fair it is not only based on his art, altough the shading is a HUGE component to art, so it seems like its based on him but it is not. I do not steal market share from him since he develops comics and not games. But if he has a problem with it I hope he reaches out, I will try to reach out to him asap. Sorry for anything.

Don't pretend like what you're doing is anything other than stealing and banking on his style to prop your game up. He has also previously mentioned that he's unhappy about seeing his style used for AI purposes and people trying to make money off of him but he doesn't think there's anything he can do to stop it. So it's very tactical of you to say that you hope he reaches out if he has a problem so you seem less scummy when you know you're not in any risk of that happening. Go ahead and reach out to him and ask if he is fine with what you're doing, if you really mean that you'd take his disapproval seriously.

Already did, its a few posts back the situation update. A big post by me. I am reworking all the arts !! It will look different but I used a combination of styles, but so it happens the Melkor one was overpowering everything else in a big way, because it is such an unique style. So I am redoing the art with other models, trying to fine tune everything to look as similar as possible as the first release but it will never be the same, some of the faces already look super different. Also the hairs are darker because I am using a Lora based on 1990s anime. But it is better this way, I talked to Melkor and decided to part ways with his style after he said he did not want to collab or give his permission ( Wich makes sense I was expecting that ).

I liked the attempt at making it seem like it has to do with anything other than an irrational hate for AI art tho. An artist doesn't even hold a copyright on their "style" and the ai conversion auto makes it more transformative than most 3D or HTML games out there ironically lol.

he was better in the past with faces. as he progressed he got better with a lot, sure, but some parts I don't like as much.
what I do hope is that the body, the nice boobs/booty (Melkor-style) can still be rendered but with anime-style faces. that would mean art "better" than Melkor.

Hello, I was never using Melkor artstyle alone, it was a blend, I kept part of that blend and took Melkor out, so there will be changes of course, but the new blend looks pretty good, a little more anime sure but good, some scenes are better, Anyas scenes have a better background thaks to the anime style, classrom scenrio with Vi looks pretty much the same, and when it comes to boobies and ass...I assure you, it is looking good. Also the way I have this thing setup I do not need to redo every part of the work, I have acess to the used prompts, that is a HUGE thing, it means that the specific prompt work does not need to be redone. So yeah right now I have 50% of the art already redone. Expect the new release this week. Then we move on to Chapter 1.

I find all this moaning ridiculous. So many NSFW games use various intellectual properties without permission all the time. DC, Marvel, Mass Effect, various cartoons, etc and nobody cares.
