VN - Ren'Py - Abandoned - Mindbreak [v0.4.5] [Nav Creations]

This is game is very awful.

I will start with the thing I liked I though that all characters were really sexy some people don´t like these unrealistic bimbo desings but I don´t mind them.

The music is annoying and very boring.

The characters and how they interact is very badly written no one feels human and everything happens too fast.

The sex scenes are without animations and are very quickly over.

And the worst part which makes the game no fun at all is the quest design and navigation around the house and city. I had to use a guide to figure out how to proceed and that is always a sign that it´s badly desinged.

There are also a lot of grammar problems and the text is in my opinion too small.

I can´t recomend this game.

played the last few versions of this game still a bit buggy here and there really don't like the current world map.
There is a lack of story setup but that is a plus in my mind i prefer to get right down to the nitty griddy and there is still a good bit of story to enjoy through the corruption and mind breaking arc's for Mizuki and Anna i'm waiting for some more development with Rey and Akio or Rey and Miko (maybe a scene with both of them for corruption or a voyeur scene).
i'm hoping to see more corruption with the family as a whole and i look forward to seeing what the creator does with the Teachers and the Girls at the school very good opportunity for some fun there.
overall i find it a fun game with some solid upside with some more polish and more content i can really see this being a very enjoyable game for fans of the NTR and corruption genre's that is more then just girl gets raped into a slut for whole town like most the genre normally does this feels more like it's going for a harem NTR/corruption Theme.
overall i'd give this game a 7/10 but it's not far off from moving higher with some more polish and content.

I love the visual aspect of this video game is true that it lacks more content but for me this game aims very high in the future. the visual aspect of the characters I love and I recommend it to everyone

I found this game pretty solid and fun to play. If you can pass the very minimal English and some other broken part it's fun to play. There is a little bit of grinding for every stage of the girls but I don't have really felt the weight of that since there are daily repeatable events and a lot of characters. The graphics are pretty good for a Honey Select game and every sex scenes look very good with lots of angles (Even if some scenes are really short). The story is pretty basic so far, the MC goes to live with a family of three girls. All the girls have the same old characterization: The slutty one, the repressed and the masochist. Some of the girls have really big breast and butt and even if some people are afraid of that I'm not, and in any case, the sizes are pretty normal for the 'Anime' standards. Just a tip for the developer, improve the grammar even a bit and cut the grinding

I checked this game out mainly because of the corruption angle of the game and it does deliver on that fetish, just not very uniquely. While playing "Mindbreak" I was frequently reminded of another huge corruption game called "corruption" because they share a lot of the same themes and visuals, its just too bad "mindbreak" doesn't rise to that same level.

Positives:
- Corruption / Mind-break theme is explored here, if your a fan of that theme you should definitely check this game out (also Incest!).
- Good amount of content: lots of sexual scenes and progression for a 4.5 beta game!
- The Mind-break game concept, its a cool concept and one of the (kinda) unique aspects this game has. Seeing the MINDBREAK screen is pretty cool and feels rewarding. I'm not so sure about having a "corruption" tracker and screen as well because its close to the same thing in my opinion but its OK.

Negatives:
- Confusing progression system, the steps it takes to progress in corrupting and furthering sex scenes can be very confusing and random. In an open world game that can be very frustrating, I spent so much time clicking around and sleeping for nothing. The overworld map could use some cleaning up as well because its hard to track girls schedules when theres no indication where they are and sometimes they can be in two places at once (for example I think the mom is always at the onsen but will also be at the breakfast table in the morning). Take my advice and refer to the downloadable walk through.
- Dialogue is poorly worded and minimal, In a corruption game its not just about making the girls DO perverted things, its about them losing their minds a bit too (especially in a game called "Mind-break"!) and the dialogue with characters is on the weak side. Also there are a bunch of spelling errors still and very awkward dialogue. (this might change with updates).
- Gross character design / proportions, this might just be purely my opinion, but the character proportions in this game are way too over the top. Also I am not into the grandma character at all.

If you are into the corruption fetish (or incest) definitely give this game a shot, there is some good stuff here. If your not into those things then this game probably isn't for you. I would like more mind-break / corruption moments, more daily interactions with people that change when corruption and mind-break levels increase (I.E. morning breakfast scene, Bathroom Scene), more realistically shaped girls, more inner dialogue and characters thoughts while they are dealing with the MC and show how the corruption changes their minds.

The following review is based off my personal experience with playing this Game/Visual Novel... I try to be as brutally honest and detailed as I can, and these are my own opinions and thoughts, from one or more play throughs... The version this review is based on is v0.4.5...

This VN/Game is yet another Corruption themed porn fest but NOT done as well as others that have come before it...

The visuals of the characters are all Asian style done with Honey Select... Most of which have insanely large breasts and large butts, although just a few are more believable then most... The oversized breasts are sometimes so ridiculous looking, that they defy gravity, and no woman could possibly deal with all the medical issues that would ensue if they really had breasts that big... They are definitely way over the top in this one... The backdrops are typical of most HS style VN/Games, as I've seen a majority of them already in lots of other VN/Games... The navigation map is alright, for the most part... The biggest qualm I had, and it wasn't necessarily visual related, but every time you skip to the next picture/scene, there is a very short fade-in and fade-out, which becomes very annoying as it happens with, pretty much, every spacebar/click... The in-house navigation is very basic, but works fine...

The UI is also very basic, but I ran into a couple issues... Such as I didn't realize there was a hint system (the developers didn't put in place anything that points out it's existence) until I opened up the inventory backpack, and saw a circle with cross through symbol, that apparently opens up the hint screen for each female character... There were a few times with certain characters, where the button with their name, was not clickable at all... I also ran into an issue where there are two versions of Night, which seemed like an odd game mechanic... One where you couldn't sleep and one where you could... The developers may want to change the later one to Late-Night or something more easily differentiated from the normal Night... Also, the normal Ren'py menu functions at the bottom of the screen, are not always present... That may be due to the game play mechanics...

The script, for the most part was ok, outside of the occasional spelling/grammar error and some occasional broken English... The plot (what little there really is) revolves around a male protagonist who quits his job in Italy and moves to live with his mothers closest friend in Japan.... There he lives and works with the mothers friend and her two daughters (kind of a typical setup for these HS corruption games where one daughter hates the protagonist and the other is a slut personality, along with the sexually repressed lady of the house)… There are of course other females in the city... The introduction goes by rather quickly and doesn't really clue you in, properly, on a whole lot... You learn through game-play only, that the family he lives with, owns and operates a Hotel/Onsen, where he can also work, to gain money... But that information was never revealed in the introduction, and due to the lack of any real story elements in the rest of the gameplay, it seems like a failure on the writers part...

The main gameplay is your typical place-time-weekday grinder, where you can navigate and only find women available at certain places, during certain times, with some only on certain days of the week... It even uses a bunch of themes, already used dozens of times already, in other corruption style VN/Games... Such as the accidental walk in as someone is using the toilet, or walking in on them bathing (only on weekends), and having breakfast at the table where you can drop something on the floor, in order to perv on their crotches as they sit at the table... And of course, those scenes alter as the individual characters progress in their own story lines... The only real difference in this VN/Game from the others, is that some of the Corruption is instead referred to as Mind Break... Which is not much different of a mechanic...

Now there is an option in the very beginning to allow or disallow content that is NTR, BDSM, and/or Urination... I personally turned off NTR and Urination (not that it matters as every female squirts during orgasm)… And initially there seemed to be a bug with the first instance of the house owner, where I caught her masturbating but some dialogue/monologue made it sound as though she was having sex with 3 other individuals... Which never really happens, which is probably a bug resulting from the initial choices... In any case, you work through each females story arc, and it isn't always clear (even with the oddly placed hint system) what you have to do next... So you sometimes end up chaotically just trying everything everywhere at varying times, just to see if you missed something... It wasn't a huge waste of time, but it still was annoying...

Unlike your typical HS based VN/Game, there are no animations... And all sexual encounters are just a series of stills (with that damned annoying fade stuff between clicks), that actually go by rather quickly... Pretty much all the sexual encounters go by very quickly... Some are so ridiculously fast, with maybe 3 stills, a few words of text, and it's all over with, back to the grind... So for being pretty much just a meaningless porn fest, it's a poorly made porn fest...

The characters are fairly hollow, for the most part... One of the daughters is designed to actually help the protagonist with his sexual quests, being as perverted, if not more perverted, then himself... Not much content actually involves just her by herself... She is treated more like an extension of the protagonists, helping him achieve his goals now and then... Every single female character seems to just be sexual suppressed and easily conned, tricked, and/or seduced into doing sexual things with the protagonist... Most have very little personality...

Overall, you can definitely tell this VN/Game is just trying to ride on the coat tails of other more successful corruption VN/Games of a similar style... It even copies a lot of the event setups from others... There is really no main story, as it is just a bunch of grindy female story lines revolved around progressive corruption and mind breaking (not sure why they even call it that because it just seems like typical corruption)… This VN/Game is purely designed to be a porn fest, so do not go into it with any other expectations... I don't typically play this style of VN/Game, but I can definitely say I've played/read better ones... It appears to be, perhaps, close to half way through it's development cycle, if we believe the version number... And there is an average amount of content for certain characters... Some of which is directly in their story lines, and some is outside their story lines... Will I revisit this one? Probably not, as nothing really impressed me, and I've played/read better ones, using the same dynamics (which isn't really saying much)...

I always liked corruption/mind break games and this one was an unexpected little jewel for a genre lover like me. The art is pretty good and the girls are different both for look and characterization. I only wish that the dev could remake the navigation system or at least make it more user-friendly. The English in pretty basic...

Pretty much everything that I search in a corruption game. The models are fine to be honey selecy and the route of every girl is different and entertaining. Four star only because the engrish is real and sometime the grinding can be a turn off.

This game could be so much better. But there's no rhyme or reason to character introduction, you can't speak to characters who exist in rooms, you just get a random encounter choice. Your first clue of the game is to go work at the Onsen, but you're completely unable to even really do that because both of the options deal with story parts that you are currently unable to access.

So I just started clicking around the map, eventually going downtown and finding a Character I was supposedly sent by Anna to talk to (which never happened).

I put the game down shortly after that. For two reasons. One being the seemingly uncoordinated method by which the game progresses. Second being the fucking screen flashes with every click. It became annoying within minutes, I can't imagine playing this game completely through like this.

This game have lot's of potential, but it have was soo heavily ridden with bug it makes playing rather uncomfortable. Even after the update 0.35, the game was still ridden with bug everywhere.

Day cycle isn't show appropriately, option not working & certain scene won't be available if you execute a specific action (Look at page 24-27 of the thread).

It lacks of many features to prevent us from doing unnecessary repetitive action & involves lot's of grinding (Technically speaking, that's how I currently see it).

I play for about 5 hours (v0.3 & v0.3.5) for just a content worth less than 1 hours just to check every nook & cranny for any available option I possibly missing due to bug, this is not only infuriating but frustrating as well.

I agree morpheusahrms that the author should spend much longer time (Preferably 4-5 months) working on it rather than small update.

Phew... I really want to like this game (and I do to a certain degree). The basic premise is nice and has potential (a bit of a mix of Corruption and the good old Research into Corruption [RIP]). I like the NPC choice so far too and the strong D/s vibe. But just as Bsjfan69 said a few posts before this, right n ow it is a bit of a mess. It is grindy but there is not much system to the grind...as there is still only little to do. The game is confusing in guiding the player to what he should/can do next. Writing needs a work over to improve comprehensibility and to help the player to get involved into the plot. In particular, the game needs a big chunk more content in a way that allows for real "play" of more than 10-15 minutes from start to end. Better to work two or three months towards such an update and get players hooked, than getting them jaded and in the end uniterested with lots of small, insignificant updates.

This game is fairly average. The CGs aren't amazing, but they're not poor.

In this update (0.1f) there isn't too much content.

The reason I gave it 2 instead of 3 is because of how completely awful the hotspots are. You have to mouseover the button, rather than the object so its quite difficult to find your way out of some areas.

I've been always a big fan of corruption games, and i think that this game have good potential. The writing is not the best, but the dev seems to be really active on his patreon. Hope to see more version of the game!

It's not bad but admitedly I am a big lover of corruption games.
The game itself has a lot of teathing issues my biggest hate is the size of doors if your movement is based on clicking you need the areas you have to click to be huge ad i will admit to being trapped in the garden for a few seconds.

The characters are quite good and i with the way some mechanics are being set up things like tattoo's and piercings will be implimented.

I think the dev was going for a very black LILTH vibe and honestly I look forward to it. As a future recomendation to the dev the first relese has to have a lot more content. for most people the first release is like a interview so you got to dress up nice wear a suit and bing all you can to the table.

As it stands the LILITH like vibe of the game and the charicters are going to keep me around for a few builds.

p.s Note to the dev. Space out your content! if everything happens in the afternoon then the give us somthing to do at other times. Look at a few similar games if you haven't "corruption" and "HHS" im not saying copy them but play them and use what you think were the strength into your game.

I'll say it like it is. At this point there are so many good or at least decent games out there that update around once a month that I really don't see a need to waste time on horrible engrish, lame unoriginal plots and BAD honey select graphics.

To be honest, I think even two stars might still be too much.
