Overview:
This is a work in progress: It's approximately 60% complete.

This is not a stand-alone mod: Powerbabe's Content Restoration Mod is required. See the installation instructions, below.

This mod has only been tested on Windows

This is a rewrite of the game Milfy City:

• The dialogue is being almost entirely rewritten.
• The images are being reordered to better align with the dialogue.
• Transitions and simple animations (image sequences) are being added to make the game slightly more dynamic.

The plot is generally being preserved, with some divergence to, e.g. improve the plausibility of Celia's route.

In this mod, dialogue has been "Americanized", both in idiom and in spelling. E.g.

• favourite -> favorite
• ice lolly -> popsicle
• that's me done -> I'm finished

Dialogue has also been heavily rewritten. In general:

• Internal monologue in which characters are redundantly stating what's happening in the scene has been removed.
• Characters sound more natural. E.g. by breaking up their dialogue with hesitation as they figure out what they want to say while they're saying it.
• Characters, particularly the MILFs, are much more vividly graphic in their dirty-talk.

Annoyances have been removed. E.g. A great deal of unskipable pauses, and many requirements to have particular items selected in the inventory.

Note: The incest and blackmail "options" have been hard-coded in this mod: The MC is Linda's son. There is no "role play".

Here's an example of rewritten dialogue, this one being the first sex scene between Sidra and Isla. As you can see, the dialogue has diverged significantly from the original script.

I hope you plan to also update your patch after Powerbabe's Content Restoration patch will be updated.
I kept in touch with the Content Restoration patch because I'm waiting for its [COMPLETED] version before playing MC v1.0e even once.
As of February, Powerbabe's plan is to make two more major releases: One will come in a few weeks and will deliver "Linda's path" and the final one will come 1-2 months after (hopefully) and deliver a slew of updates around smaller characters (basically everyone not covered so far).

I intend to keep this mod up to date with Powerbabe's updates, and the updates to the official game, and its DLCs.

This mod almost completely preserves the structure of the original code while tweaking elements of the story within that structure so I'm not anticipating irreconcilable incompatibilities.

I'm not privy to the details of PowerBabe's unreleased changes but the focus of that work seems to be on Linda's path, so I'm playing through the paths of the other characters first, and rewriting them as I do so.

It's nice that you're working on a version of restoring the scene with Isla/Sidra, because in version 1.0e there was only a limited relationship with Sidra and that's it. here it shows what was there before and has been removed. Great appreciation.

I'd like to ensure that your expectations are aligned with my plans for this mod.

PowerBabe's Content Restoration Patch restored the Sidra/Isla content in the game. My mod rewrites the dialogue for those characters.

Both mods leave the Sidra/Isla route incomplete, because there are no art assets to use to complete the route. Icstor never made them, or at least never published them.

While I may tweak the Sidra/Isla route a little more, it's likely that what's there now is all there will ever be.

And even though these are animations, they could have the sound of these sounds because the sound is not all there is in it when set to max.

I'm not sure I understand, but I'll try to reply:

• I'm not adding or changing art or sound effects assets in the game.
• The game has a (very) limited number of sound assets, and I have added a few additional uses of these sound effects.
• The music and sound-effects sliders work, for me, so if they don't work for you I think that's likely an issue with either your installation of the game or your system. If I recall correctly, you're playing on Android, so I can't help you with that.

In particular, adding sounds to the sex scenes is beyond the scope of what I intend with this mod. I think doing a poor job of adding sound effects and voicing the scenes would be worse than having no sound, and doing a good job would take a lot more time than I have, so I'm not going to try to take on that project.

So I've tested this mod and yes, the scene with the window appears on the PC game, but then there are scenes and errors that must be ignored from the console. (Photos)

Your installation seems to be missing the Content Restoration Patch. You need to apply that patch before this mod. To correct your installation you'll need to perform the following steps, in order:

1. install the
2. install this mod, again.

Yes, the fact that you're hearing the sound of slaps indicates that your sound system is working correctly. There just aren't very many sounds in the game.

Adding new sounds to the game would require writing a mod. You can read about how to edit Renpy scripts on renpy.org, if you'd like to try it, yourself.

If you install this mod after the Content Restoration Mod you'll be able to visit Sidra and Isla every night, even after reaching the end of the content for them.

If you continue to see "missing" image files that's an indication that your installation is corrupt.

If you run the "official" version of Milfy City, i.e. one which has not had the Content Restoration Patch applied, you'll find that the quick menu is disabled, there, too.

Neither the Content Restoration Patch nor my mod remove the quick menu; Icstor disabled it. It's unclear why it was disabled. It could be for aesthetic reasons, or it could be that some functionality breaks the game in some way.

Anyway, I implemented a Preference to show the Quick Menu, and added it to the version of this mod that I just uploaded. Note that in this implementation the quick menu will appear at the top of the screen, not the bottom.

If you've installed this mod, and now want to uninstall it because you don't want incest content, the most likely path to a stable installation is to download a new copy of the official game. You can then re-apply the Content Restoration Patch, if you'd like.

Deleting the file named "patch.rpy" in the game directory will disable the incest content in the Content Restoration Patch and official game.

OK OK so maybe you're modifying hardcoded text instead of setting a character's variable containing name or pronoun (oh how I loathe that word)... maybe I just expect i18n as a default standard from any game dev, these days... but this _was_ the orig dev it was, so that's kinda doubtful.

The focus of my rewrite of the game is on replacing or eliminating spelling, phrasing, and story elements which distract me, while playing. "Aggressively annoying" may ascribe malice where incompetence or carelessness would suffice, but it certainly resonates, emotionally.

For me, the "landlady/tenant" masquerade is extremely distracting. I don't think Icstor retrofitted that language into the game, well, and I understand why: It would be significantly more work to do it well. Rewriting the game is already a really significant project. And, since I actually prefer the incest content, I'm not likely to revisit thie project to try to produce a non-incest version.

I understand your complaint that incest is cliche. Having said that, the popularity of Milfy City, years ago, was arguably one of the games that made it cliche.

Of course, you could produce your own mod of the game that replaces the incest in the story, in some way you find plausible. I welcome you to use my mod as a starting point for such a project, if you'd like.

TBH I probably should've just said "grating, like fingernails on chalkboards to most".

The other, well, I came into MC a bit later than some, but it was years ago. Shortly after the Christmas Special was released, IIRC. From what I read today, I'm guessing the original had lang that was put into an "incest patch" later. ‍♂ That patch had always been there, so I guess I assumed it was how it always was.

SL was fun, but it was a well done game. I think I just was having a rough morning & it's like that 3-letter-acronym in threads lately w/ every game thread people begging for it, so just kinda went off a bit from frustration of overload. Apologies.

Might be a foray into Python, although wouldn't look good on a resume... :-/ Kinda like me getting into C# via the KW mod for TS3... shitload of $$$ off porn but tell that to corps & you're gone. I'll shelve that idea for the time, but thanks for the offer.
