can anyone explain me the difference between shemale and trap in this game? i feel they are the same, but still its confusing.

Shemale is a mostly if not completly feminine(+boobs) body with a male genetalia (Male->Female Transgender/sexual) while a trap is just a boy or man that naturally looks very feminine/female(No boobs).

Random futa is random.
I have playthroughs where there are load and I have playthroughs where there are none.
Best thing to do is after you beat the shit out of something, if you want it gone, click on the little "remove character from game" button after the fight and it will replace it with something else.
I did that on my current playthrough and now have a map just full of my kids.

why does the gender preferences have multiple of each gender? there are two female options with different text color. a bug or are they different?

There are 3 preferences, male and masculine traits, female and feminine traits and one for both.
From what I can gather it makes no difference to encounters though.
I picked I prefer female and feminine traits in my partners and I still get a lot of male encounters.

Change your gender preferences to generate less penises. You can set it to never generate male or futa/herm NPCs if you want.
Refer to the gender pronouns options. The second female option is women without breasts. Each combination of genitals, breasts and gender appearance are considered different genders but some of the default pronouns are the same.

This is my first time playing a game like this, and i have to say i really like it. Good job. However i hope there will be more filters for vanilla people like me who are not into extreme stuff.

This type of thing isn't really suited for more ... vanilla kinds of folk.
The main appeal of them are their catering to niche fetishes.
You can filter the extreme stuff but I wouldn't expect any more.
