RPGM - Legend of Queen Opala: Origin [v3.23] [SweGabe]

(v3.23) Well, it's a 10/10 game, it offers a lot of content and different kinds of kinks, from soft to very hardcore, and a story that develop little be little, getting better each time, very enjoyable experience in the porn side, also there is a least 5-7 different artist working in the artworks, there is even animations, so yeah is the complete package.

Now, even if is a 10 game, still has flaws, the gameplay is not as good as the artwork, for example there is 9 playable characters and different kinds of monsters, so you would expect the characters to have different skills that works on that different kind of monsters, that don't work as expected, making the game a uphill battle not matter what strategy you use, some enemies are like fighting Final Fantasy modern Bosses, with a lot of Hp and nothing else, character like Gabrielie or Bal'rana becomes useless because of that. Also buffing works well, but debuff fails a lot, charaters as Farah, are wasted. In fact, you have to think this game works like Pokemon Red and Blue, where Tauros is your best pokemon because hits hard and fast.

The math is off also, monsters have a lot of hp, getting new weapons don't increase your stats that much or are fun, afinnities are not fun to discover to exploid the game. Also, the mayor flaw of this game is that still don't have a ending, so even if a start a new game plus+ and chose to play another time chosing another artist, you would miss the next update from the previous artist, should have a way to change or get the other artworks when playing again.

Still a great game, but making changes to the gameplay would make it one of the best, if not the best.

This is one of the most fun games I have played recently from this site.
While unfinished and somewhat unpolished, what is there is exceptional.
One of the best RPGM-style games I have ever played.
The story, characters, art styles and gameplay make it a fun and unforgettable experience.
While playing the previous games can help you understand the story and some of the characters, chances are the people playing this game and series are not interested in that kind of 'plot'. It is mostly a standalone story so playing the previous instalments helps in understanding some of the established characters, (mainly Farah and her daughters) the cast and party introduced in this game are the best and most memorable so far.

Got to give credit where it deserved This game is a great if you're looking for a older style RPG with plently of filth. However if you're like me and you want the horny fast... It's not for you.

The game does it's job very well as a porny remake of older RPG's. However, in a more modern climate, I would say the game is too slow and the gallery, works... kinda.

For those who just want to have fap material, this is not the game for you.
BUT FOR THOSE WHO ENJOY LORE, this is a gift from the heavens. There is so much story and gameplay that it's almost overwhelming. I love the characters and how raunchy they are, pretty much treat sex like it's drinking water.

I wanted to play this thinking it has art and good stuff in it. It is possible that it does, but after i jumped through all the hoops to get it installed and working on my pc, i realized i had no mouse and it was unclear what the controls were. The aggravation was too great for me to handle.

So, one star from me for locking the content inside a clunky interface with no controls. One star for all games that think the user should read first the bible and learn string theory before getting to play.

The storytelling earns a solid 10/10 - it's addictive and leaves me wanting more. The universe is vast and remarkably original, setting itself apart in terms of uniqueness. The game's audio is a highlight, offering a rich and diverse collection that elevates the entire experience. It's immensely enjoyable - I lost myself in it for an entire day. While I can't comment much on the technical aspects, the gameplay left me satisfied.

As the player, you inhabit the role of a striking woman with a stunning tan complexion. Her appearance represents the game's commitment to diversity and depth. Beyond her looks, her character embodies resilience and intelligence, making her more than just a visual asset.

Great art. I like the combat system, and i like the fact that you can choose to be human or a monster...

My biggest issue though is that you get cucked constantly. Yes, theres unavoidable NTR in this.
Monsters get more action than the Player character.

The scenes aren't exactly bad, but not good either, and the only thing they bring to the table is their kinkyness. But it's usually a loooooong time before you get a single image which changes from without cum to with cum. It's not great and because there's so long between it doesn't work well to jack off to either. The little illustrations you find have no context or text to them either so frankly I never found them appealing. I don't play porn games because I think they are better than normal games but because of the porn. Still i'm surprised by how much I like the game. I like the characters, the world, the story and the general feel of it. You can tell the game takes itself a lot more seriously than normal porn games and although it takes a lot of grinding to get through I still thought it was a blast, and a lot more immersive than any porn game i've played. Just because of that it deserves a 4/5

Would I recommend this game?
Only if you have nostalgia for the older RPG games like gen 1 Pokemon and the first few final fantasy games. Figuring out what to do on quests by talking to everyone in every city, checking every single desk and cabinet, and having stuff be locked off until you get a power or something to get it later. All these are inconveniences that most people are not okay with, but if you are and you like the art then I think you'll have a really good time like I did

Love the art style that is similar to the second game as well as the new art from sethxzoe
Really solid storytelling and world building
The world changes over time either by people commenting on new events or entire cities changing after a battle, the world feels like it's in motion
Has dozens of hours of content to go through and hundreds of pieces of art
All the cast, including the mc, were actually pretty likeable
Very unique and different fetishes that you don't see in most games like bestiality, furry, cumflation, stomach deformation, etc.
Cons
Battles are very simplistic with enemies having very little variety in moves and being super tanky with no damage. The characters could stand to have more abilities as well that aren't either super effective or useless
Even for am RPG lover like myself, there are a truck ton of battles. Killing 30 of the same mob to unlock its legendary variant seems excessive.
Equipment only differs by having slightly bigger numbers than the last upgrade. Finding special gear from a legendary creature or as a quest reward would really help this out of it was thematic.
Some people probably aren't going to like all the art styles, so if someone is here for Seth stuff, they are going to be disappointed with how little there is in 50 hours of play time.
This is more of a site thing, but the animation tag is very misleading. 99.5% of the content in this game will be still images.

Overall, I had a blast with the dev's previous works and this one seems to be on the right track if it ever finishes in my lifetime. I played version 2.14 5 years ago and while the story hasn't gotten too far, the in between bits seems more refined. I just hope they take a second look at combat since so much of your time is currently dedicated to that.

Took me 35 hours to reach the up to date point of the game, had a blast exploring and getting achievemens, it's a pretty fun game with the RPG elements overall, but unfortunately the dev takes way too long for anything really, probably will not be finished until mid 2024 or even higher! But oh well, the last 2 games were this way too so, it is what it is

Surprisingly really good game with a better plot then most of the AAA games.
Some characters are quite interesting and all of them are very hot, also game is quite replayable, which is great but I also believe that there should be an option to skip some scenes that just take too long to watch them again.

This game/series is absolutely iconic; a true classic of adult games. As others have said though you can immediately tell it's built on an old, rotting foundation.

++ Just about the gold standard of writing and world building.

+ Art is good, and there are several variations for different tastes.
+ A ton of choices that actually matter.
+ Huge amount of content.
+ Many little things that didn't have to be added / don't have to be completed but are there, and done well, for people who want good gameplay (collectibles, side quests, etc)

= I'd really like to see more CG per scene if not some animation even, but I can't really complain much about it while praising the choice of several art styles. I understand it isn't feasible to pay for all that.
= Pretty grindy even by RPGM standards. Levelling is slow, travelling is slow, titles require an arbitrarily high amount of enemy kills (no reason Vanquisher couldn't be 20 instead of 30), etc... Personally I don't mind grind but totally get why that's a deal breaker for some people.

- The QoL just isn't there:

• No dialogue skip.
• No command remember (or settings menu at all for that matter; if you press F1 you can change keybinds [limited] and COMPLETELY disable sound settings but not adjust them individually).​
• Holding the confirm key doesn't confirm repeatedly.​
• Etc... basically just none of the nice things you'd expect of any not complete garbage RPGM made in the past like 5+ years.​

--- NO ABILITY TO HIDE TEXT WINDOW DURING SCENES. Honestly the absolute worst thing about this game in my opinion. Everything else I can live with considering, again, this is a classic series that is phenomenal for the time the projects were started, but not being able to fully appreciate the scenes on first viewing objectively lowers the quality of the game. Almost always it is covering something you want to get a look at; way more than your typical mosaic censorship or something.

Overall would still give it 7/10 just for being so good at what it is good at despite the several pain points that usually turn games into 2/10s.

Im pretty sure that the images and story are as amazing as other ppl say, but for fk sake why do I have to endure what feels like an hour of an unskippable intro

Kudos for Gabework to make this possible, ill never forget the name as I stared at his amazing logo and storyline for 5+ minutes every single time I launched the game or had to start all over again

Speaking of RPGM games this one could be simply the best.

The story is really well written (it's hard to keep me invested in the story but this one definitely left a mark in my brain). A lot of features and choices to make.

Characters are amazing, good backstory, design is lovely (you can even change the design of the CG's)

The game may be a little bit grindy and rpgm games might not be a cup of tea for some ppl, but the game is definitely worth a try and I will defend it with my whole heart

Have long story and great variety of stuff, I really like the matured woman and this game provides that very well designed.

The characters have very different faces, the game feels very dynamic.
Grinding in this game is also viable, I really like start the game and then grind until high level before begin continue the story

TL;DR A game out of time. The continuation of a classic porn game artist who has failed to keep their techinical and game design prowess up to date with modern games. This is further held back by commissioning TOO many renders from various artists half of which are simply not good enough to continue to be commissioned.

Everyone below me has gone in depth with the pros an cons but I think a LOT of negative reviews skip the context. This game brand was out when rpg maker basic was the standard. In a world of Ren'py this game engine does not keep up.

I also understand why Gabe has all the various artists, they were the OG's and I'm sensing a sort of loyalty to them, but as has been mentioned they are shit in comparison to modern artists see Sparrow vs SethXZoe. (personally some of Sparrow stuff is still hot but you cant argue its better than Seth).

Gabe should cut half the commisions maybe do a poll like they used to and just cut the bottom half of the poll, adding the current pics to the gallery for free.

A lot of features need to be added but it isn't going to happen in this game. If you were around back when this game was the shit you'll still appreciate it but any newcomer is going to struggle fighting with the system and game design choices (running back to locations multiple times, day and night for ONE pic CONSTANTLY during the story)

This game was around when LoP was god tier but like LoP hasn't managed to keep up with the times.

For newcomers 3 stars will seem generous for vets it will seem low. The sheer volume of content and quality choice makes me feel as any 1 star review is too low, but any 5 star review is also looking through it with rose tinted glasses and is equally unjust.

The "rape" tag is completely unjustified. Most of the woman who get raped in this game range in emotion from apathetic to mildly irritated, like they're at checkout and the underpaid wage slave behind the counter is taking too long. Bear in mind these women are being gangbanged and beaten by giant muscle bound monsters with huge dicks (occasionally covered in spikes)

In a typical rape scene a female will be stripped, beaten, impaled on a giant spiked monster penis, drowned in cum, all while making wisecracks and suffering no significant trauma to their bodies. It's almost as if they're as unfeeling as the inflatable lovers of the people who made this game.

Well to me it is one of the Western all time classics hentai games maybe has a bit too much fighting and rpg elements and plays slow due to its rpg maker roots but the artwork is amazing (and it has many different ones also depending on the playthrough offers different ones for differing tastes), it is very much on a bestiality rough note with some other fetisches but this is already the 3rd game so most who know the series are aware. Terrible series of games. Extremely ancient RPGM engine (can not update it to modern RPGM because RPGM has shit backwards compatibility), typical grindy walking simulator with bad combat that you have come to expect from bad RPGM games. Horrible resolution. only way to play on a modern monitor is to alt-enter to see in full screen which turns squares into rectangles. No quality of life features like text fast forward.
The game series share a universe but are not really related. You are not supposed to play them in order. For each game the other 2 games are not canon.
Here is how the games differ:

LoQO1 you play as Jake (or custom name) who goes to Egypt and fucks the trio of gabe's characters (Queen Opala, Good Princess, Evil Princess). With options on romance or dominance. You can even end up as king and the evil princess as your sex slave. The game has no art to go with the sex scenes that happen in the game.
What it does have is husky voice over by a woman who reads these porn lines to you. So wear headphones during the sex scenes.
I overall had a positive reaction to it at the time due to how small the scene was way back in the day. But it did not age well.
I finished the game but not the scavenger hunt.

The only art in that game is a stupid tedious scavenger hunt that awards you with a literal gallery of random mismatched fan art of your waifus fucking animals, getting raped, or getting gangbanged. None of it involves you in any way, as it is not actually art made for this game. It is non canon and predates the game, and you can just download it all from the appropriate sites.

LoQO2 you play as Kai (or custom name). It is a total bait and switch. They pair you up with a "lesbian best friend" who is actually a horrible friend. I expected to help each other score, but instead she is constantly cucking you. You are very clearly playing as her sidekick, you are not the main character of the story. But wait there is more, she isn't the only one. Everyone and everything else is fucking your waifus too.
Now there are 3 art styles you can choose from... Western, Eastern, and Clean. But they are not actually complete. So no matter what you choose you will have some scenes that have no illustration.

There are barely any scenes involving you. Almost all scenes are cucked. Also if you grind the affection points of your "harem" your reward are... trading cards of them getting raped, blacked, gangbanged, or fucked by horses and dogs. dev went into damage control mode and clarified that those pictures are not canon... which for some reason you are awarded with for after grinding affection with "your" harem?

LoQO3 aka "LoQO Origins". Now has a whopping 5 art styles to choose from. You can choose multiple looks for the MC, including 3 different type of furry (each with a different animal cock). 2 art styles are not available for human MC. 2 art styles are not available for furry MC.

You are "devon" or custom name. Again bait and switch. Very first scene has the MC having sex in a dominant manner. It sets the tone and makes you expect an MC focused game like LoQO1. But like in LoQO2 expect to see your girls getting raped, gangbanged, cheating on you, or being fucked by horses and dogs. There are also some false choices, like being asked if you want bestiality and if you say no then it still happens anyways.
