Interesting story...unfortunately written in Honey Select...to me all the contributors look the same...unfortunately Honey Select has not found a way to give western viewers an objective view of normal human appearance...it is unfortunate that today this view is not very appealing to us Europeans, but this story in RenPy, with the appropriate characters, would please us much more and would certainly find more supporters worldwide...

Sorry, but I'm looking for the best for me...

I'm aiming to drop the next update, v0.3, before Easter rolls around, i.e. by the 27th of March at the latest but hopefully a bit sooner than that. Gonna take a few days off during the holiday, so won't be able to tinker with Frostshade during that time. Cheers!

Dear Patrons,

Just a quick update on the latest progress of Frostshade. Here's where things stand:

Next Release (v0.3): get ready for the next release, version 0.3, is scheduled to be released by March 27th at the latest. Save the date for this exciting milestone!

Chapter 5 Progress: chapter 5 is well underway, with the content fully planned and currently at 50% completion. I'm diligently working on writing, coding, and creating images to bring this chapter to life.

❓ Chapter 6 Possibility: the inclusion of chapter 6 in the upcoming release is currently uncertain. I'll make that call based on the length of chapter 5 which is taking me longer than I anticipated.

Overall Goal: the aim for this release is to deliver +10,000 words and 200-300 new images. These benchmarks will define the content and depth of the chapters in this iteration.

Ren'Py is just an engine, it will still need renders from Honey Select, Daz, Skyrim, Sims etc...

I think it's something else entirely. I read that as meaning that they are worried that there will be too much text on the same image, I don't meant at the same time, but the image stays a long time while the text keeps changing.

I haven't played yet, so I dunno, but, from that ratio of text to stills, I'm inclined to think the same.

I felt obligated to come here and say this:

"I was NOT expecting this type of writing in this medium". Not only is quite a good story, it is written in such a beautiful manner that I HAD to read all of it 2x, to savor it. The writing evokes the style of Old Noir Detective Novels, I absolutely loved it.

There are many other good things in this Story, but, it was the writing that FORCED me to come here and say this.

Chapter 7 can't come soon enough. Very good job Dev.

now the renamer is in ive been able to play this and enjoy it fully.. and i agree with most.. Very well written narrative, classic noir-esq mixed with cyberpunk and blade runner.. cant wait for more and i wouldnt worry about breaking from the kinetic nature.. the work speaks for itself and doesnt need it

Just wanted to drop a quick note to say a huge thank you to everyone who reached out with comments and messages while I was taking a break over Easter.

I'm back in action now, feeling recharged and ready to dive into chapter 7 for v0.4 of the VN.

Regarding the comments about the image-to-word ratio, I totally hear you. While visuals are key, I'm aiming to use words to really bring the scenes to life and stir up those emotions. To be honest, I'm still getting the hang of HS2, so I'm focusing on crafting descriptions that complement the images for a fully immersive experience.

As always, I'm all ears for your thoughts, ideas, or just a friendly chat. Your feedback is invaluable as I keep tweaking and polishing the project.
