walk forward, die. open door, die. turn around, die. pick up item, die. So far I've managed to get the portable terminal and the medpack in the laundry before, well, dying, lol. Some of that is the drones have a target area that can see through walls, which aren't acting as boundaries right now. Absolutely has potential though, I do like the premise (from what I can tell since there is no backstory whatsoever), I'm always a sucker for rpg's and space games so this is definitely up my alley. Keep up the good work, I will definitely be following this game.

Note: the beginning sentence was supposed to be more for comedic effect than actual complaint, I know there are a lot of kinks to work out, but this is only the first release so I'm hopeful for the next releases

Game could be good if done properly. The female model is not too good though as well as the walking and running animations which are pretty bad. Right now can't go anywhere far from the starting room because i get zapped and ported back. I hope the dev will work on it hard coz like i said it could be a good game.

i m honestly a bit hype about full 3D games...

but when i see female protagonist, my hype goes down pretty fast...

not because i not like female protagonist (fuck hell no , i play all my games as a female when i have the option) , but mostly because at the end (well, let's honestly say "at the end of beginning" ) , its nothing else than "you just a walking sextoy that gonna be raped by everything around" ... and i not like that.
(would kiss a priest to get a game with a good girl as MC.. like in tomb raider, bayonetta, mirror edge, horizon zero dawn ,etc... well you know.. a real badass women.. not a walking sextoy inwaiting to be raped by everything around). of course its a porn game.. but that doesnt change, i mean, she can "have control" for once...

*cross fingers*
Well, the situation here is a bit different :) Just the story is just not well described yet. The main character wakes up locked up unclear where and completely naked. So, she wanders naked there at all against her will, and don't not urging everybody to fuck her :)

You had my attention at sci-fi and 3D, but lost it at survival.
Well, this is not an ordinary survival. And if you expect that there will be banal zombies and other garbage - believe me, everything is more awesome :)

Actually, I'm a little surprised at the amount of feedback that drones fly and attack through walls. At the testing stage in the game engine this was not observed. Drone definitely can not shoot through the wall, also like fly through it. You enough to hide behind the door - and the drone loses you. Strange, but it seems in the build logic somehow disrupted. I will try understand and fix it.

true. I have seen a bunch of 2d games in which female protagonist is raped if defeated. if this goes like that, then there is no new concept behind it.

So, I'm pretty much in danger wherever I am, and can be 'detected and stunned' at any moment, anywhere. This would've been a great demo had the drones not been broken and overpowered.

When I finally found a shirt of some sort, the body of the character clipped through it at some points.

There also needs to be a way to inspect and manage inventory items. For example, I managed to pick up a key card, but at that time I had to run or be stunned. I had no idea where I could possibly use the key card at that point and I couldn't inspect it either.

Oh, and then there is the fact that some walls apparently aren't solid, including the back wall in the spawn room. I walked right through it and fell into the unending abyss.

Not the best, definitively not the worst, but it sure has potential.

This comment is in regards to v0.1 Demo.

Gameplay wise:

As others have mentioned the drones are virtually omniscient. I can only assume they are able to detect the player through solid objects, as usually when the player gets zapped, there isn't a drone in sight.
As a result of this, it becomes extremely difficult to hide once the player gets detected. Sometimes a successful escape can be pulled off by running into a room (and possibly closing the door). If that doesn't work the player can always escape by running through a wall. Though this leaves the player in a blue void, and the game will have to be restarted.

Walking through walls and doors seems to be possible by simply walking up against them for a little while, or by taking a running start. This seems to be something the drones take advantage of too, because they frequently fly through walls at a very high speeds.

Although being unable to explore the whole station due to the frequent zapping issues, I have managed to get into a few rooms and pick up a few items. This is where I ran into an issue with the inventory. It only seems to be able to hold 6 items (although medpacks are stackable). Once the inventory is full the player is no longer able to pick up new items such as keys needed to unlock doors or lockers. It is possible that there is a way to archive items, but it was not immediately apparent to me (for example by pressing escape or the i key).
(Edit)
I just noticed that the front post states how to discard items. This makes me feel like a complete idiot. My apologies for this.
(/Edit)

Spotting items can be a bit tricky, especially as the player is constantly on the run from the Zappy-Bots™. This is only a suggestion, but you might want to make items a bit more visible. One immediate example I can think of is making the items glisten occasionally.

I like that you added the warning triangle to indicate when the player is about to become a human lightning rod. Another suggestion I would make is to colour code the triangle, as an indication of how close the player is to getting zapped. And perhaps, when sound is added to the game, to have the bots produce a slight hum/buzzing noise. This way the player can start running for cover in time.

One other thing I might suggest is having different intensities for the electric shock depending on how far the Zappy-Bot™ is from the player. Or perhaps build up a resistance... Get it? Electric shock, resistance... Yeeaaaaah, anyway.

The player seems to jump significantly higher when going straight up compared to going in another direction (forward, backward, sideways).

Graphically:

This is a highly subjective matter, of course. The graphics, while not extremely high end, certainly seem satisfactory to me.
Then again, even though I'm not all that old, I still remember a time when you could actually count the pixels in adult games.

As this is a very early demo I feel hesitant to suggest making the player's eyes blink and the chest breathe. It might be something to keep in mind, however.
Something else that isn't very urgent, are the player's knees and butt while jumping. They look so sharp they could take someone's eye out. Or possibly kill a Zappy-Bot™ or two.

There are enough items in the rooms so they don't feel sterile and empty, and neither are they overcrowded by large amounts of useless furniture. Good job there.

Story wise/Premise:

There isn't much of a backstory here yet. Or any at all, for that matter. I have seen your post where you state that "The main character wakes up locked up unclear where and completely naked.". This can go a great many ways, and I can hardly speculate about the story you have planned out.

While I acknowledge that shame might be an emotion the player would feel upon waking up naked in a strange location and no memory of how she got there, I would certainly not discount confusion and fear as very strong emotions at that time.
I could write a lot more about how I think the player would feel and act, but maybe I'm just overthinking things for an adult game.

The fact that there is a picture next to the player's stats with her name under it suggests that there will be more than one playable character. I'm curious to see if I'm right about that.

Conclusion:

Except for a few issues this seems like a good tech demo. You have demonstrated that you have what it takes to start developing a game. I'll keep an eye on this, and good luck!

Breathing, blinking eyes and stuff was originally conceived, but there were problems with the animation, so for now, I had to give it up. As for sharp knees and other things - the animation is to blame again, it has so far been taken from various sources and is not always displayed correctly. The model itself is quite high quality.

The fact that there is a picture next to the player's stats with her name under it suggests that there will be more than one playable character.
Yes, you right :) It is a RPG, you know :)

As for the problems with drones, I have already heard about them :) I will fix this in the next updates.
Thank you for such a detailed review of my humble creation :)

Looks interesting but plays terribly. It is marked as "demo", but if it's supposed to be a showcase of what's to expect, then it does a poorer job than a bunch of screenshots.

A good portion aren't trash. So it's not like 99%, more like 40% under the 3dgames tag
I think he specifically meant rendered 3D games in contrast to pre-rendered 3D games, how many rendered 3D games are not trash that are indie Patreon and not Illusion/Alicesoft? Whereas the horrible pre-rendered games are primarily those who are rendered with 3DCustomGirl. They are luckily very few :)

I don't really have anything to say about the game itself, I just want to make sure that the game developer (@Cute Pixel) knows about the Standard License Agreement and Interactive License for Daz3D content when making a 3D game. Unless you want to get into legal trouble, you should be aware of this.

A lot of developers don't really pay attention to it, but when it comes to 3D games, you need to purchase an Interactive License in order to use them. Some assets don't even have the option to purchase these licenses. So you need to be very aware about what assets you use.

Most developers aren't aware of this simply because they see a lot of 2D games being developed without needing to meddle with any specific license. The reason for this is because all assets purchased contain the Standard License Agreement, which basically states that renders (both images and videos) are allowed due to the player not being able to modify and/or download these assets from the game itself. However, this isn't true for 3D games, which is why you need the Interactive License.

If you already know about this, you can just disregard this comment. If however you'd like to know more, you can just visit this link where they pretty much explain exactly what I just said

Just looking out for a fellow developer. Good luck in the future!

I know about this, but thanks for the concern :)
By the way, may I offer you a link exchange for Patreon? :)
