This review is my experience with the game and what I think of it
This is my second time trying to play this

You download what should b the "complete game" to then find out it's missing everything to separate it from a HTML text only game as you get "image not found" errors with the occasional frame every 50 or so

Apparently there is some special way to install this and the creator was kind enough to not include it in the install instructions <3
So like many, I just had my time wasted as I searched for the solution
I found it, and I'm not interested in downloading multiple patch files and the previous versions of the game, installing them in the right order
Edit: Oh right, some fixes arent up to date as you search through the thread so it just breaks the game or removes any interaction from the title screen bricking the game

I can safely say however, that the playtime for this game gives 1 point to Gryffindor because of the amount of time it took just to get it to work, you earned that star for sure!

A really original game sadly the creator as great as he is seems too lazy to correct all the bugs. The story is great and as i said original there is enough content for all tastes. I hope the creator will continue to create games but without bugs.

When it comes to this games stability, its just basically a rooting wooden bridge over a deep crevice, it just kept crashing and crashing and it turns out the reason for that is if you dont take the correct characters path it just completely destroys the next game when you import the save file. Plus, who the fuck divides their game into so many different downloads? It would be understandable if the game had a lot of content that could not fit into one single neat package, yet it barely has anything to offer for its GBs download size.
The story is no better, its starts fine at the early story, but then it gets more and more deranged for no good reason. Thats why it completely killed my desire to experience this games story after a while.

No, just a buggy nonsensical mess of a game, save your internet provider from pointless bandwith consumption.

This is for the "completed" version. I can overlook the terrible SIMS screenshots. I can overlook the poor English. I can even overlook the craziness in this story to an extent. What I can't overlook is how bugged this is. There were so many script errors I had to correct or hack with the console it's ridiculous. Also, I found myself just skipping through mountains of terrible writing. Sometimes you'd get giant paragraphs that just ramble on and on. The fourth wall is often broken in the worst way with the dev and MC rambling on about fuck all. It was probably the most annoying thing in this game apart from the bugs.

On top of that, when it gets to day29, it's just missing. I'm unable to complete the game.

Some of the good - Well, there are some sexy situations. Plenty of women to seduce and fuck. There seems to be a coherent story in there somewhere, but I think many of the bugs prevent you from seeing it and it become disjointed.

Ehh... it honestly wasn't enjoyable for me. At first the game starts out pretty decent story wise and the MC is extremely likeable. Honestly the MC in the beginning of the game pretty much kept me playing.

But after the beginning honestly it wasn't that fun and the story started to really fall apart. The animations and graphics are an obvious massive no no but I tried to get around them at first since I thought I could like it for the story (and the MC). Then after constant bugs and crashes then I pretty much gave up.

I appreciate the thought and effort that went into this story. There's lots of story branching and characters.

However, despite bugfixes being installed, it's hampered by bugs and crashes. Game breaking ones... as in there's no way to continue.

Several times I had to exit the game and go through files to correct code... far from easy and hardly exhilarating.

It's not just crashes, but also skipped content. I had to, again, edit files myself because I noticed when I'd gone through the files that I hadn't seen entire sections of the characters I was focusing on.

What might help you besides editing files?
Most of my crashes seemed to come from not having seen certain story/character branches. I played Straight and was picky with who I was interested in. In short, I advise you to do the opposite and take a much wider interest in all characters - maybe it'll help.


All in all though... it's honestly too much trouble for its worth. Can't recommend it.

Starts out excellent and nice and simple. Just a sweet guy with a mysterious past interacting with friends, family and neighbors. This part of the game is really refreshing when contrasted with the average male MC of erotic games. The MC comes off as charming and mature and wins some hearts this way.

Say what you will about the graphics but this early part of the game is actually great. And then aliens arrive...

When forfinger starts expanding the story to a mafia sci-fi espionage thriller everything starts falling apart. Mostly, it just doesn't make sense a lot of the time and the charm of the early game are totally gone leaving the MC a typical macho harem enjoyer.

Then there are the bugs... I am not sure how many people have actually finished this game, but I'm guessing it must be a very small amount, because for me to do it while maintaining my choices throughout the story, I had to actually modify the code at sometimes. It's a real mess and it's a real shame too, because it's painfully obvious that the guy put a ton of effort into it too.

TL;DR: Do I regret playing it? No! Would I recommend it to others? Also no... unless you hungry for a buggy-as-hell (epic?) sci-fi fantasy mafia story with a good heart.

Note: This thing can only be rated this high relative to the sea of trash on this website. I really can't blame other for rating it much lower, but nonetheless it's an honest attempt at crafting an engaging and erotic story, which is a lot more than can be said of 95% of erotic games.

It's a damn shame I have to score it so low when a lot of it is so good but it's just such an error filled mess that blocks me from progress I can't score it any higher.

The first 2 episodes and The Past all work fine. Story and characters are great and I fell in love with it.

Saw it had 3 more episodes and got all excited thinking how much ccntent I had left to get through.

And then it started. Major decisions didn't carry over with the save and a lot of important variables didn't move over. More variables didn't trigger as they went along so by half way through the 3rd part I was just bogged down with error screens and missing variables that stopped scenes triggering.

I deleted that and just decided to play the 4th and just get to the end of the story and see what happens only to hit yet another missing variable but this time no option to ignore so i'm locked out completely and can't even finish the episode.

It's just a mess. IT has a ton of potential to be amazing but it needs so much work doing to fix all the damn issues.

Ignore the Sims as the rendering engine and the occasionally awkward English. I know that’s asking for a lot right off the bat, but just roll with it.

Drawing My Life is a VN of a scope and scale that far surpasses many that have come before. The story is very odd at times (even without including the whole alien story arc). Regardless, the charm can’t be understated. The romancing of old and new friends makes for some great dynamics and introduces appropriate levels of drama.

Of course, it’s not all puppies and rainbows. The dark side of MC’s past is fucking brutal and leads to continuous heartache throughout the story. Be forewarned that there are multiple scenes of extreme violence. To be honest, I’d rather not see a higher fidelity version of those scenes because using The Sims lessens the impact a bit. Also note that there are some pretty intense non-con and mind break scenes regarding the neighbor’s husband.

There’s no way for me to give you an overview of this VN as has 4 main paths that I haven’t explored all the way through. What I can attest to is the sex scene animations, while lower in graphical fidelity, are pretty well animated. Most animations nowadays focus solely on the participants with maybe some attention paid to clothing and hair. While playing DmL I was surprised by the bed rumbling and the sheets moving. The sex feels more alive than some more realistic looking games.

A massive project with oodles of (especially trans) content awaits you if can look past some minor faults. This is one of those VN’s that even if you aren’t into trans persons, I can still recommend enabling those paths (or at the very least Ivy’s) for the romance aspect.

I can’t fathom the monumental effort and time spent to make DmL. What I can do is tell you to try it and see how far along you can get until you get sucked into the narrative like I did.

The game is great. The story is very engaging and the women are interesting.
The game is also full of humor.

I love how relationships between most women develop in this game. Especially Scarlett (mom) and Ivy. Two lovely women in this game.

Even though the art is sometimes not that perfect, the game has such a good story for me that it makes up for it.
I have not always been so convinced of transgender women but in this game I was convinced by them. At least a few. And I played their content until the end. (Ivy <3)

The relationship between MC and Davinia was very emotional. I love her. There were times that I was sad and didn't want to play and talk to the rest of the characters in the game because of some situations that were between MC and Davinia caused by Frank. (I don't want to spoil much here)

As for the game, I highly recommend playing. But be warned that the game has a lot of bugs, I had the most errors in S1M04. So I had to ask someone for help, or if I could fix something myself, I did it. I did not find help for everything here on the game forum.

Sometimes I also had situations when I continued my relationship with a given character, and the game on the harem window (the characters we romance) removed that character. So it meant that the game somehow understood that I had no relationship with this woman. As a result, I had to either change the variations in the scripts or load the game.

Without writing any more, I highly recommend you to play this game.
I will definitely come back to this game in the future.

Loved it, give it a try. What makes it that good?

The story is engaging with a wide number of characters. All characters have a certain nuance to them. The scenes are well written and the story progresses with excellent pace. The graphics improve overtime. It's a very enjoyable experience.

I've played this until the end of S1 and I think its honestly pretty good.

Lets get something out of the way first though. The art isn't the best. I don't think the Sims graphics are particularly bad or anything. Its different from the usual Daz models and the girls don't look that bad. The problem is that even though it has that charming quality to it, its not quite enough to get you off on the merits of the renders or character models. I think the "animations" are improving a bit as the game progresses, but its pretty god awful to be honest.

In my experience, there are three ways to produce a fappable scene. 1) Through incredible visuals. 2) Through very erotic and taboo situations 3) Through dialogue leading up to and during the sex scene. This game obviously fails on the first point, as does almost all games on this site. Personally, even the best 4k renders of super hot models is not enough on their own. These renders or animations pale in comparison to the visual stimulation you might get from real porn videos. Especially since animations are basically just 3-5 second loops in almost all games. So that leaves the other two points and that is where porn games can shine brightly over real porn videos. This game does pretty well on the erotic situations and build up for a hot scene. Unfortunately, most of the scenes except a few have very limited dialogue.

Too many devs fall into the trap of spending so much resources on animating mediocre scenes and what is the result? They produce a short loop of animation, then pause for a sec to have one of them say "harder!" then you change position and get another loop. "Inside!" I mean... I wonder if people really get off to this kind of thing for animation to be such a requested and popular thing.

The strengths of the game format when compared to real porn is absolutely in the amount of dialogue you can produce during scenes. The Japanese realized this long time ago. All their scenes are carried by dialogue rather than the art. Art is there to supplement the dialogue during scenes, not the other way around.

Anyways, I guess I went on a bit of tangent there, but the main point I was trying to make is that, this game will not impress anyone on the art or animation aspect. Therefore, the scenes could have been saved with very hot dialogue during scenes, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

So why do I give it 4/5? This is a slice of life story with a pretty likable MC and realistic characters. People generally act like how a real person would act in those situations. The story is pretty endearing and there are some sexy situations throughout. My first and foremost kinks when it comes to porn games is in male dom, corruption, mind break, evil MC, etc etc. I am a depraved fucker and will delete the usual slice of life/dating sims/romantic shit. There are occasionally ones that present a good enough story and grounds itself on a realistic level that can make me turn off the depraved part of me and get invested in a different way.

So I will be honest, most people probably won't be able to fap to this, but its still worth a shot at least for a pretty interesting and endearing story. To be frank, I couldn't fap to Acting Lessons even once, but its still one of my favorite games on this site. I won't go as far as to say this is as good as AL, but its not a bad effort.

There are some problems with the English, so the dialogue may appear stiff at times, but the dev does a pretty good job of portraying each characters personality despite the occasional grammatical error. I would advise the dev to hire an editor/proofreader at some point to improve the strong points of this game, which is the story and characters.

I am giving this VN 3 stars, because it's not bad, not even closely as bad as a ton of crap I have had the displeasure to ctrl my way through, but the ugly low settings looking models make me flaccid the whole time.

This VN terribly lacks in visuals even for The Sims 4 standards. I couldn't get a boner during the game, and I used to fuck around with The Sims 4 and Wicked Whims extensively.

I am kinda puzzled why the author didn't get any good looking mods. The characters look terrifying, some even like randomly generated sims, except they are not as bloated as in the game. Also, there are way better body mods and skin textures, that the author could have used. Just go through Loverslab and you'll find some really good ones. And it would be possible to just put those in the credits.

I really liked the way the story was handled and the amount of choice. At first a lot of stuff didn't make sense, but the storytelling actually feels very solid. There is a very diverse set of characters with different personalities, mysteries, and crazy shit going around them. The writing is sexy, but the visuals are not. So I am very saddened, that I couldn't enjoy the game and had to quit. It wasn't very fap-friendly.

Too bad that the images are really bad. They even look like it was played at low settings. I don't know, maybe my Sims 4 build is way heavily modded, even though I am using only "MaxisMatch" mods, but this looks way worse. I could send you screenshots if you don't believe me.

It's killing the game for me, because if it's porn VN, I need the actual porn to look attractive, but I am glad others can look past that and enjoy it regardless.

So, the bad first: the art is initially pretty atrocious. But once you "get used to it" it's actually not bad. Basically, it's a cartoon. Except these are pretty damn low-poly 3d models. Some of the dialogue makes you go "wat?", but in general the writing is okay and it has a lot more charisma, rough as it may be, than 90% of adult porn games.

Second, the surprise. The fact that you can choose your sexuality is pretty good, and actually directly resulted in my surprise. By far, to me, the best relationship/character is Ivy, who is a transgender woman.

And I am not into women with dicks, so imagine my surprise that I actually like her the best.

Even if some of the stuff you can get into during her storyline is not really my cup of tea. But I'm just saying that it surprised me how much I enjoyed that character.

Basically, this game isn't perfect (what game is?) and the writing is a bit variable in quality and there's a lot of writing and many characters. So this isn't something you just skip randomly past. You actually have to sit down and read. But it has charisma, and a lot of personality. It's not so "stiff" as many of the adult games are, who seem to take themselves very seriously. This one is ofthen very playful in tone.

But in short: it's a good game, and if you can get used to the graphics, it's actually surprisingly good. Definitely worth giving it a chance, and if you're a bi or gay, this game can cater to you too. At least to some degree. But on the other hand, if you're just straight, it'll still work for you. Just pick a right option.

Also, finally, you NEED to start from the intro, then episode 1, and 2. Because there's a ton of story, and if you don't start from beginning you have no idea what's going on.

It also has ton of content, the sex scenes are short and sweet, but fairly frequent. The dialogue and story is plentiful and requires an actual attention span to keep track of.

This is a solid foundation of a VN, plagued with ultra low quality CGs, hence the 2/5

Gameplay: Very straight forward, this is a true VN, choices matter and lots of variety into what you can do depending on your kinks.

CG: This is where it hurts the most. It's just bad. Animated scenes are in 240p I think? It just looks horrendous overall. Ironically, while the art style works great when clothed due to the contrast between the colors, when naked, the characters look like playdough dolls. I found myself actually skipping the H-scenes because it's really not worth it.

Immersion: Very good, writing is decent. The characters feel like people. As I've said above, I found myself skipping the H-scenes to get back to the story.

Fluidity: I am kinda split on that. I'll be honest, it honest feels like a VN where porn was tacked on later on. A lot of the sex just comes out of nowhere. So while the discourse between you and one character might go well, when the dev decides that sex scene is gonna happen, it goes from 0 to 100, porn flick style.

So it's a decent VN, just not a good H-game, and I am judging it as such here.

What a great game. It not only has multiple paths, but also multiple types of sexuality to explore. Can a person change? This game explores that very idea.
You play as the male protagonist who won't settle down, who suddenly has two roommates(brother and sister) of some sort of acquaintance, (you can determine what their relationship is to you), and suddenly, your life starts to change, growing and exploring, and how you grow is up to you.

As a TS4 fan and also a Wicked Whim lover I felt for this game. Yes, the imagery is a little bit simple – also Sims artwork can be tweaked with some mods and CAS. Yes, the animations are ugly – it seems, that the dev can't produce them in higher quality because of technical restrictions. But it's fun to play! I like the story, it's funny and I like to see how it will go on!
