It is with great pleasure I get to announce to you that are we back at 100% operational capacity. The new card has been acquired and installed, and we are up and rolling once more. The new system is running perfectly and our render times have never been faster.
Now that we can manipulate our Iray scenes in real-time, we can do a better job of perfecting lighting, staging and posing. We’ve run a few test renders on some of the scenes we previously composed and have been hard at work improving those scenes.

Our distribution plan moving forward is to release a large update at the beginning of each month. With half of the month already gone, this first update will be fractionally smaller than the planned updates in the future. But it will provide you with a solid introduction to the story and a demonstration of the new style going forward. Despite its potentially smaller size, I think it will give you something to be excited about.

Our next big goal is to not only continue working on the main story, but to begin refining our animation abilities. We are still unsure how long it will take to render the animations themselves, so there is some experimentation to be done. But we are damned excited to finally be able do it.

The new reward system is in place and we have already begun working on those deliverables as well. Our first poll is up for $5+ patrons, and surprisingly enough, there have not been many votes. Perhaps people are just indifferent to the Monica decision. If however you do give a damn which model plays the role of Monica and you are a patron of $5 or more, please cast your vote . Currently, Monica B is in the lead by a handful of a votes with a week and a half left to vote.

Not played much of the game so far. Maybe some more experienced player can give a hint why the mannish model is winning. Is there something about the character that just says 'man trapped in a womans body'?

I think she was a personal trainer, so she's supposed to be a fitness milf.

Okay, I've since played through all the current content (not much of it, yet), and I can kind of see why B is winning. C is too strong and straightforward for the character (she chooses short term flings with married guys and has a rather laissez-faire attitude in general) and A is overused (according to the devs). Still, she's just ... eww.

Oh well, I've still got a latina, 2 lolitas, a japanese hottie, and a trophy wife to enjoy, so I can't complain too much. I'll just have to rely on SLF for hot chocolate action.

I mean, the hair is a little bit tomboy-direction, but she's got a nice pair of tits, that ass looks like quite a handful and she has a pretty face. If that is mannish for you, you do have some weird ass standards.

I personally prefer C but B is in no way "mannish."

Probably the haircut and the face, at least to me it seems a bit angular and that's more of a male feature while most female faces are a bit more ... round, you know soft looking and such.

She Looks soft enough to me. There are men with rounder faces and women with more angular faces, I`m just saying that she defnitely Looks like an attractive woman, not "mannish."

Yes, as I already wrote yesterday, it's absolutely a false positive.
Virustotal's site and file scan both are a good proof for it: 1 positive malware detection by ESET, 58 malware scanners giving a totally clean bill and the rest won't scan a HTML file. And since it's been like that for months, only ESET blocking the site, RomanHume as the site owner should get into contact with them about it.
Wanted to say thanks again for this tip. We've contacted ESET technical support and they were actually very responsive. Supposedly have been checked out and they are putting us on the white list. We just received notification today but have yet to test it out. Either way, it was a big help. CHEERS MATE!

First, I just want to say thank you for giving our game a shot. Second, I want to say thank you for your support, it means a great deal to us. I don't know how long you've been following the conversation, but just to bring you up to speed if you missed it, Monica was the only character in the game that people seemed to have a big gripe about. Admittedly, we ourselves have only played a handful of adult games so we weren't as familiar with which models have seen extensive use and which ones hadn't.

One of the things we've heard over and over was that the original Monica model was just used too much and that her portrayal in previous games was less than pleasing. Since we heard this message echoed by our Patrons, we figured if there was ever a time to recast a character, right before beta would be the time.

So that is the reason for the recasting in general. As far as why B is winning, I can't answer that.

I will say it has been fascinating to watch the discussion both here and on our patreon regarding which Monica is the hottest and why. Personally, I like all three. I mean, I wouldn't help design a character I didn't personally enjoy. I think all three have different redeeming qualities. And I wouldn't be surprised if the two losers of the poll don't show up somewhere in the game as minor characters or temporary flings.

So don't lose heart everyone. Even if your preferred Monica doesn't get the role, odds are she'll still make an appearance and you'll probably get a one-off shot at her.

You could change the way she's introduced and instead of saying she's the new personal trainer you could just have her say that she's the new fitness milf.

You've captured it, pretty well. That haircut would look right at home on a 50-year old man. I couldn't explain my reservations about the face, but you've covered it pretty well.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What's attractive to you could be plain, or even off-putting to another. If you like that model, great. It's currently in the lead for voting, so you'll probably have a lot more fun with her story arc than I would. Odds are I'll enjoy one of the other story arcs more than you.

I haven't taken exact measurements, but to me her head looks slightly smaller compared to her body, if you compare her with C. It's the B I'm talking about.
That, generally, is a manly feature, especially the head to shoulders ratio.
The same head to body or head to shoulders ratio of C looks more female, even though her muscles may be more visible.
It's the general build of the body that gives the impression of female or male features and if the head is even slightly smaller compared to shoulder width, then the body looks more male.

The difference of proportions between B and C is very small, so it could totally be just about the settings of the virtual camera and the pose of B. If the camera is too close (and so the angle of the lens too wide), then things look longer (or deeper) along the z-axis, things that are further away from the camera are looking smaller than they would by looking with a "naked eye" of a human being. In the pose that B is in, her head is tilted away from the camera, so in a wide angle camera that could make it look smaller.

Finally. It's getting where you wait forever and nothing happens. Check the thread. No post. No comment. Nothing.

But, enough about me. How about some info from our beloved creators, still plugging away and hopeful for your pledges now that the train is back running again. To wit:

I cannot express to you how good it feels to be working on a regular cadence again. To have a schedule in hand with a series of objectives to be checked off and knowing from one minute to the next what it is you need to get accomplished. Like the weekly update for instance!
Finally! No more updates about broken machines, lags and delays. We get to come back around full circle and tell you about what it is we’ve accomplished this week. It’s a lot, and we’re very excited to tell you about it.

We previously announced we are ready to move into beta. With the understanding that we only began dabbling in Daz and experimenting with Renpy back in January, we felt there was a lot we needed to learn. What we didn’t want to do was put out a product we felt was sub-par. We went into this with a vision of improvement over other products we’d loved.

These improvements included things like a tighter narrative. Better story pacing. Improved visuals with a high attention to detail and lighting. A story, that while on the far edge of belief, was still somewhat plausible. And most of all, dialogue that seemed natural and didn’t make you cringe.

We decided that the best way to get experience was to just start creating. Let’s make a game, release it as often as we can, and solicit as much feedback as possible. We’ll simply call it the alpha, knowing that we’ll eventually go back and do some serious rewriting and reimagining later. Daz alone is an amazing tool with a lot of facets to it and I thought it would take a considerable amount of time to come to full grips with it. But we were dedicated and determined to become masters.

I still don’t know if we’re masters, but we can make it do what we want it to do. And the end results are phenomenal. We’ve trimmed up our code and parsed everything down to the essentials. Our control structures are locked down and there isn’t much else to do but finish the game. And that is why it’s time for beta!

Our next release coming in about two weeks will be our first v1.x.x. Now unfortunately this means the next release will not be compatible with anything we’ve produced previously. There is nothing to merge and no data will carry over. Too much has changed under the surface, and in truth, we’ve added too much you won’t want to miss.

When you fire up our next release, it’s going to feel like a new game. You’ll recognize characters, plot lines, themes, etc. But the enhancements are going to be clear and present. The interface has been polished. We’ve completed scene transitions and gui art. And much of what we had previously written has been rewritten into longer, stronger scenes.

There is a much clearer feeling about what this game is about from scene one. We’ve cut no corners and have made every effort to bring this as close to the final version as possible. Our hope is that from here the only changes we make are the inclusion of new scenes each month, and bug fixing on what we’ve already done.

We aren’t planning to hold ourselves to a tight series of deadlines. We want each release from this point forward to be as high quality as it can possibly be. We are going to work through the entire month, and what we have done is what we’ll release. Some months will obviously offer a greater amount of content than others depending on complexity, but every release will be of the highest quality we ourselves can produce. It will never feel like we rushed a scene, animation or plot line just to meet a deadline. We want to do this right.

That said, we didn’t have much time left this month after getting our computer up and running. Our first release, v1.0.0 is going to be shorter than what you’d expect in a normal month.

To help set your expectations it will include your first meeting with Doctor Amana, where Roger becomes a patient and begins to delve into his problems and woes. It does a great job of setting up the character and helps explain how the story will ‘function’. This scene will then flow directly into the next, where we meet Miss Nanami Sakamura.

Ultimately it is Roger’s involvement with Ms. Sakamura and her plans that throws his life off course and sends him spiraling out of control. It’s the catalyst that changes the character from what he was before the story began, to who he is now and why he’s behaving the way he does.

Your decisions in the opening scenes will lead you down one of two paths with Nanami, and this will be your first experience with the diverging story arcs. A strong point of feedback from the alpha was that there wasn’t much contrast between some of the scene variants. We’ve taken that to heart and are making sure that every time the story diverges into one of two directions, the changes are noticeable, immediate, and drastically contrasted with their counter parts. After all, this story is all about choice, and we want your choices to have had a real impact on Roger’s life.
