I agree that some writers are finally learning that you can't just throw a uninspired story together and call it Incest, people are finally starting to get bored of the same old story and the same old concept. Single horny Mom who sees her Sons massive penis, wow it's so big. Bitchy Sister who hates you for no reason, but comes around really easy, and super innocent Sister who loves and adores you, she has zero knowledge about sex, maybe I should be the one to teach her. Please stop with this overused cliché tripe, it's not fun to play anymore. Hopefully writers who actually enjoy the kink of Incest will try and write something unique and fun. Let the writers who have ideas and talent make something us Incest fans can support and enjoy, if that means we get less incest games then that's a win in my book. Sorry for the long read
I've said it before, but I don't think the problem is the cliches or the same old setting. I think it's the lack of resistance in the characters which makes them feel bland and hollow. in most games the girls just jump on the dick far too easily which results in disappointment. 5 minutes after beginning you ask yourself was this it already? is this all the game had to offer?
the feeling of character having a personality doesn't come from original story or character gimmicks, but her ability to resist player's advances. it even works with inanimate objects in real life: if your computer works as expected, it's just a machine, an object. but the second it starts misbehaving we get angry because 'windows is being an asshole again' or we might even worry that 'it's acting up because I called it piece of shit ealier'. things that contradict us get a personality projected on them, and the same exact thing applies to fictional characters. they get a personality only if they don't do what we'd like them to do.
and when the incest thing revolves around the thrill of doing something you shouldn't, it's immensely magnified when the character feels like it has a will of its own. and when that resistance isn't there, the thrill disappears. the mom shouldn't get horny seeing son's big dick, she should get mad. she should ground you. she should absolutely refuse your advances every step of the way so that it seems impossible to get through. and the story should be about disassembling those defences one by one. with great effort and mom eventually grudgingly giving in, but maybe even coming up with new obstacles.
then again there should also be SOME affection shown by her, she's not supposed to be an asshole. nobody likes assholes. the deal shoud be that she does love you like a mother does, but just doesn't want anything to do with your sick urges. until of course eventually she does. but it shouldn't look like that until you're actually there. the problem most incest stories is that all the girls (with the exception of asshole big sister) are down to fuck from day one. and it just doesn't work. looking hot isn't the fetish.
