You're not going to get alot of patrons with a $10 entry fee. If you want to convert pirates, you need to come down to at least $5. There is only 1 patreon that I donate $10 a month to, and that patreon only requires $2 to unlock everything. I tip 5x more than necessary because he's a good guy. If he actually demanded $10 a month, I'd feel fantastic about pirating the shit out of everything he made. For some indie 3DCG slide show with less than 10 hours of content, I wouldn't pay a one-time-fee of $10, yet alone $10 a month.

Also, no one is falling for that lame "v1.0" trick like some fat chick wearing vertical stripes to look slim. That's a pretty shady tactic indicative of a a dev that shouldn't be trusted. Absolutely a red flag to me. It also confuses/angers everyone in general. You should fix that.

99% of those games are not worth any money.

And basically any "free to play" game is better in every imaginable way.

These guys' games are awesome...if you played their other ones, you would know that. I can't wait for the game to be finished, but I will because I know the final product will be worth it. There are plenty of other games here to keep you occupied in the meantime. My only wish for these games would be to do away with the timer/pleasure meter when replaying scenes. Keep up the good work!

Welcome to the forums. Many of our members are active on patreon and whilst we are a 'sharing' forum, we also serve as promotion for developers; usually once a game is posted on our site developers see a boost in the number of patrons. 1 download doesn't mean 1 lost patron, but instead brings your game to a much much wider audience.

I disagree...I think she is rather cute.Sure she doesnt have the looks of a super model but she is cute and fits the look of a teenage daughter.So far all of the girls are cute.Palmer uses different models than we are used to seeing in these games...most are over used.These models give the game a new and imho...a unique look. Looking forward to more...wasent much content in this one but I'm not complaining.I like what I see so far

You can look at Teacher's Pet by @irredeemable. Even though he does release his versions for free after a while, the $20 content usually gets released here. He has gotten an up tick in pledges.

The argument there, is that very unknown/obscure games and developers (which would otherwise get little to no exposure), get a vast amount more traffic, and therefore would receive many more patrons. This is fairly easily demonstrated. (Edit: Especially in cases where the patreon rewards are virtually non-existent or not very good, there's literally no other reason to be a patron)

However, that same argument doesn't necessarily hold up in cases like yours. You are one of the top 5 most well known developers on this site. It would be very easy to show that, while you do get much more exposure, a very good argument could be made that you lose patrons who would simply pay 10$ for early access to a game, and then unsubscribe. You'd have to tell us from your own patreon account exactly how often that happens. I can't imagine it's a huge amount; at least I'd like to think so.

Perhaps I like to think most people use patreon to support developers they like, not just to 'buy' early access. I could be biased in this regard.

Yes, but the problem with suggesting this approach to people is that it requires you to be insanely multi-talented and have a good work ethic, which most potential WEG creators do not have.

Moving on, how many Chapters are planned to tell the story?
