That's goofy, because it looks like it is somehow keyed off the edge of the desk. Like during rendering the software registered a 'hit' along that line, and crimped D's hair.
(I have no idea if that's how that works or not, btw. Just noting the spatial closeness in the image.)

As to D's height.....
Clearly MrDot was looking to create in D a woman that came across as a girl. That's just my impression of the visual rendition of the character and, to a lesser extent, the gameplay. There's no other really understandable story reason for a female of her stature to be so... what's the phrase.... 'divergently proportioned', such as it is.
In my mind, I've always regarded D as like a stylized porn game version of someone like Penny Pax. Not that I'd necessarily recommend Pax for the 'real life' version of DMD, but Pee Pee is s 5' (max), with scrumptious tits for days, that lovely ginger complexion, with such a delectably soft body, and she 'reads' a good bit younger than her years. That 'young' attribute isn't something I really go for, but I'm happy to make exceptions. haha
So, anyway, I think D is more like 4'10" with 38" D lady humps. Which are absolute comic book proportions for a female.

Another good avatar for D, or rather what I think D will look like once she's fully matured in her mid-20s, is Sophie Dee (minus the accent). At least in terms of body type. Sophie is taller than D probably is, but she's got the same glorious softness and boobs and........ I should stop.

You can always set the quality of render higher and lower the iterations. 17 min is nothing, a high quality render can easily take an hour +
