Overview:
You're a paramedic starting work at a new hospital due to an incident that made your former hospital transition you out.
Unfortunately the new hospital is smack-bang in the middle of a mafia crime spree, resulting in mass trauma cases and not enough staff to handle it. To try and combat this, stuff numbers are bolstered by both fire fighters and police officers, who you will be working alongside with.
The question is, will you side with the police and try and reign in the mafia or will you join the mafia and feed the police false information? Will you treat patients accurately and respectfully to climb the hospital ranks, or will you drug them with "needed" anesthesia and rob their house to claim a fortune?
And maybe the most important question - will you try and court one female, or fuck them all?
Concept:
Code Blue is an adult visual novel, with multiple spanning paths and romance-able partners. There will be no grinding, this game will focus almost entirely on story development.
Instead of chapters or parts, the game will be sectioned via "cases". For example, Case One: "No Spoilers Here" will be the start of the game and will include up to the end of the first key case (a case being a patient callout, you responding as a paramedic to a location, followed by treatment and transport).
Please note that while the game has humor and a sense of fun, several scenes and cases planned have a serious tone and may upset some viewers (with themes including child abuse, sexual violence, murder etc).
The game will be somewhat medically accurate as I am studying medicine, so you will be expected to perform a medically accurate treatment on each patient (if you are going down that route, you can always fuck it up on purpose lmao).
While there will be no visible stats, there will be minor decisions that affect how other key characters respond to you (things like social behavior and chosen medical treatment), and major game changing decisions (killing a patient on purpose, mafia/police decisions).
Current Features in planning include:
- Background collectibles (a staple of VN's, amirite)
- Multiple possible endings
- Multiple storylines that your actions lead you down (3 key storylines, police / mafia / paramedic leave me out of this shit), allowing for replay-ability.
- A phone GUI that you can use to see character bios, drug uses, medical procedures, all of which you will need to prepare for cases.
- One key explorable area, the hospital, and each key case will be explorable as you piece together treatment for the patient at hand.
- For some cases you can choose who you take with you (at the moment out of 3 people), who each have their own way of helping.
- Sex scenes will be animated.
- A gallery which unlocks as you progress.
