I can understand why a dev would feel that its "rewarding" to choose correctly and get the not bad outcomes, but as a player its just frustrating especially when there is not feedback on what a player is doing wrong. It doesnt make me want to try again, try different things. It makes me want to delete the game and choose something else. Just being friends just isnt an option, that isnt how I've played the game up to that point, I played with the intention of a relationship. Really the choice is to either start over, or atleast from the beach or accept the MC's death is the end and move on, and for me this game wasnt enjoyable enough to warrant starting over so it was just done.
Outside of the fairy outright telling you to not only pick seduction options, there really isnt any feedback for the player to understand that what they are doing will lead to a bad end. If I as a player pick an option and get a positive response from the girl, which is what happens with every seduction choice, it feels like I'm making the correct choices. How is a player supposed to know what is "enough" friend points to get?

"I want to be her best friend" should not be the choice that leads to the romantic end...
*edit* and just for shits and giggles I chose the friend option and just sped through everything else and still got fucking shot and died, so no idea.
