3D scene help!

I'm looking into creating a visual novel using 3d renders in DAZ3d and I see all these games with 3d environments/scenes, anyways I was wondering if any of you know where I can find something like that to build my story around. I'm looking for a house environment but all the ones I come across are simple models with no interior or just a 2d image. Any help would be great!

Are you looking for Free house models or paid ones.

The Daz store has a number of house environments, many of them furnished:

Daz also has bowling alleys, casinos, cruise ships, hotel rooms, pizza parlors, coffee shops, tanning salons, clothing botiques, a resort island(!), etc. in there store, so yeah a whole bunch of stuff if you don't mind shelling out the cash.

As for the free route:
ShareCG and Renderosity also have some basic home environments, but you may need to find separate furniture for some/most of them. It's possible to put together a house using the free route with some effort, but it's much easier to just buy the Daz package(s) that meet your vision/needs the closest.

This is a free one-bedroom house with furniture.

Here's a cabin by the same guy.

The problem with using Daz models is the house parts rarely match. I think there are only 2 sets that you could form as a single, coherent home. Most game creators don't give a fuck about this issue. I personally hate it, though.

changing the material settings to match whatever you like is not difficult, it only requires that the indivdual spend a few moments learning how to actually use the software for more then point and click renders.
