I may have hit a bug in Playing for Keeps. That, or I am wildly inept. Both options seem perfectly valid given my life choices. Anyway, I took out the pirates because I cheated (like a boss) and then mind controlled them and yadda yadda yadda, I went back and chased Shimakaze all over the place and got her into the tavern only for there to be no object for me to interact with when she slams the door in my face. I can't tell if I'm supposed to be bale to do something beyond that, or if there's an extra step I'm just missing, or if that part of the game is just unfinished because, hey, games are hard. Your thoughts?

.If you can provide an exported save along with a description of what you tried to do, what you thought would happen, and what did happen, I can try to test that scenario to see if anything looks obviously broken.
Though PfK and Me Against the World are both known to have legit dead ends in the game caused by you not bringing item x or skill y into a given situation.

Nice work! Seems to run much better than RAGS. Not majorly important, but could you possibly add quick save (maybe 3 slots) and quick load hotkeys.

any plans on implementing DEBUGTEXT ? since some games using debugtext info in debug mode and i couldnt find any trace of this function in reg player.

I think their recent efforts in Rags 2.x/3.x cross-compatibility has made it a no-go.
It crashes trying to load into the Rags 2.x designer, which is the only version that can export to JavaScript for Regalia. The 3.x designer spits out some weird Silverlight app.
Probably they authored the most recent version in the Rags 3.x designer and it saves some new bits that confuse the 2.x designer.
There's probably work that could be done to hack up the Rags 2.x designer code to load and export with whatever changes they've made, but it's a lot of work considering there's maybe two good Rags 3.x games that exist.

@selectivepaperclip May have found a bug in 'Me Against The World'. I'm not sure if it was in the original though.
When the father busts in, right at the start, and tells you to the "ABCs" on the shelf in his study. Got the 3 books and tried to add them to the shelf. Book A will go, but trying to add the others ends up in a message saying "You don't have any books you can put into one of the empty slots", even though the books are in the inventory.

Seems to also crash the Rags Designer, or at least the one I have.
I think everything after 0.8x is not going to work unless
- they reverse course and decide to develop solely with/for Rags 2 again
- someone goes through the heroic effort to hack up the game's JavaScript export code to work on this crazy game
