What? What is this? How do you do/fix that? I appreciate the anti-censor patch but I'd rather not be forced to skip anything... Or have anything mess with anything I didn't set myself in the options...

Can you give me a step by step on how to undo that? Also, can it be done in the options of the actual game?

Just open the incest_patch.rpy file in a text editor such as notepad++ and add a # in front of the two lines that have "skip_unseen" in them. In-game you can just change the skip text option from "All Text" to "Read-only text". The two lines in the patch file just change it to "All Text" every time you start the game.

My bad - I do that for testing and forgot to take it out. I will remove in the next update. But you can also turn this off on the game's "Settings" screen with one click - no 1337 h4x0r'ing required.

I'm not seeing a significant difference in terms of CPU and memory usage between the patched and un-modded versions of the game. I did notice that the initial game launch after applying took a while due to the rpy compiling, so I included the rpyc in the patch zip.

The only other way to reduce the resource load is to overwrite the actual game files, which you don't want to do for a lot of reasons, not the least of which is every time the push a bug update, I have to rewrite this fucker from scratch.

EDIT: Full disclosure: It's also possible that an actual coder who knows what they're doing would have a better way, but I'm not that guy.

Really appreciate you creating this, I'm just wondering why I get a lot of lag with the patch installed, like I get 2-5 second pauses in certain scenes, the aunt's garden and the map is especially bad.

EDIT: After doing a bit of reading online, I came across a thread that mentioned increasing the image cache, that seems to have solved the issue! I simply edited the config.py file in the \renpy folder and changed the image_cache_size = 16 to image_cache_size = 48. That thread also mentioned capping the FPS limit from 100 to 30, I tried 60, but I'm not sure if that really had an effect. Either way the setting for that is framerate = 100 to framerate = 60 (or 30). I'll do further testing as I progress in the game, I just started a new one and tried both the map and the Aunt's house and had virtually no lag. Again, thanks for all the hard work!

Another setting that way be useful for some is to type Shift+G while in game and try a different renderer. I'm not sure what the game uses by default, but it may be helpful to some to try switching between them.

Could someone enlighten me on how they changed the story to remove incest? What art got removed? How is MC related now to sis/mom/aunt. What about Erik and his mom?

The only art that was removed was some family photos in the introduction, I believe.

No sex scenes/lewdness was removed. The incest was contextually removed by making Debbie (the mom) into a friend of the MC's father, who is now the MC's landlady. The aunt is just a friend of the landlady (ie. mom) now. The sister is the landlady's daughter.
Eric's mother is similarly his landlady.
Also all the kids are attending a college, instead of high school.

Just had an error during the car mom scene:

call screen car_mom_jerk_options
File "D:\SummertimeSaga-0.15.30-pc\renpy\script.py", line 858, in lookup
raise ScriptError("could not find label '%s'." % str(original))
ScriptError: could not find label ' mom_car_jerk_loop_p'.

EDIT: There's an an extra space before
"mom_car_jerk_loop" : " mom_car_jerk_loop_p",
remove the space in the second quotations and that fixed it
line 1053 in \game\incest_patch.rpy

There are more but not this much. Some images where a mom reference was included. (They're in the patch to find here, so you will get the extend.)

Thanks for posting this - after some reading & testing, I've added changing the image cache to 64 and the FPS to 30 to the patch. :)

Yep - my fault, sorry man. Was already reported and have the fix included for the next release of the patch.

Noticed something else, after you get the shower scene with mom and it says you can now shower with her, when talking to her again I don't get that prompt, only Help Mom around the house, Apply Lotion and Practice Kissing. Tried after a couple days as well.

I looked a this briefly, and really think this is an issue with the base game. On the SS Discord it's being asked a few times, but since 3rd party patches are like talking about Fight Club there, it may be people using my patch. I'll try to run it down when I get some time to actually play through the game myself. :)
