I usually use The Sims Resource, modthesims, loverslab, sexysims or (believe it or not) Tumblr. Finding a set or a compilation is just a headache, browsing TSR is even worse, but that's unfortunately where most Authors upload to.
If you're using TSR, make sure to use the "TSR Ad Skipper" extension. It doesn't do much to improve the whole site's bloatiness though, just removes that annoying 10 second download.

If you are just starting with downloading Custom Content (CC) then downloading each individual can be a major PITA. I recommend searching on youtube with searches like 'Sims 4 CC Folder clothes' etc. People tend to post complete folders which can get you a quick start. Do be aware that having a lot of CC can increase loading times and RAM requirements.

Also, would anyone like to share mod folders? Seeming as CC can be overlooked, would anyone be up to sharing their mod folders so people can copy over what they don't have?

Sure, I'm up for sharing. When you say CC can be overlooked, did you mean you're not interested in CC and only non CC mods like traits, etc ?
I'm just sorting out my CC, once that's done I'll up my full Sims 4/Mods folder (6.13 GB) currently.
I'll also try and post my Animations folder middle of every month since they generally are updated in the first week.

Hey guys, can someone tell me the difference between patreon version and no-patreon version pls ? Cause i use the no-patreon version and i wanted to know if it's worth it to change. I guess yes but i want to be sure.
Patreon versions have more animations generally. You can't use both unless the patreon version introduced a completely new package file (instead of just making the first one bigger)
