It's a script mod that's causing the conflict, so just work your way through all gameplay-changing mods until you find the one that's causing it. Search for "ts4script" in your mod folder, and it'll show all the script mods you have.
Its not only you with this problem. Only Script Mods I have are the ones from MCC Command Center and WickedWhims. My game freezes within 2 minutes and only way out for me is to enter Build/Buy Mode and switch back again. I dont have lots of mods anymore as was fed up with lagging and outdated mods so deleted them. More noticeable in club gatherings or if more than 10 sims on a lot at once.

If you're using games4theworld, check your Sims 4 registry. For some reason it originally had my game location as "Program Files (x68)".Okay this may be a stupid question which may or may not have been answered before but i'm getting an error saying origin is not running after installing the sims 4 game
