Status update Episode 7
Episode 7 status:
Script 95% finished
Renders completed 155
40 renders and 3 animations are in the render queue.
Starting tomorrow, I go back to work. A lot of development time will be lost, as I've had the luxury of doing this gig full-time since July.
Each day I will make sure that my PC will have scenes to render while I'm at work. It will be a new way of working on the game for me.
I will post these status updates on Sundays from now on.
Today, I released four preview renders in the tiered preview rooms of the Acting Lessons Discord server. Anyone can gain access to these rooms by chatting and staying active on the server or by pledging the limited "Hall of Fame" tier.

I must say that I really hated the ending of the last episode :evilupset: It would really be more exciting if MC would be able to save them both. If then Melissa will be more addicted to drugs, without her roommates knows about it, but don't have the money for it and then has to prostitute herself to earn some. Later on when her roommates finds it out they have to rescue her in some way.

btw I'm playing with the "warnings" in the bottom right side... and I didn't see anything just "Your choices may have consequences" or smtg like that... so maybe in that ep there was no "xxx likes/loves this/that" assuming from the not usual ending...or its a bug D:
On the other hand... I'm not complaining about the ending...It's like a fuckin' good series. Just do what you did so far @DrPinkCake

Welp, that ending killed my boner... This game probably has the best writing... It's incredibly engaging, spite killing my boner I really like this game.

Some slight SPOILERS ahead
Hmm, replayed the game couple of times to pick all the choices so the outcome was the most to my liking - that is after all one of the points of playing games such as this, otherwise they would be the same as real life.
I always liked Melissa the most, followed by Rena, so I was a bit disappointed when I was practically forced into the relationship with Megan. Now, don't get me wrong, Megan is sweet and pretty and her tanned and slim body is something I usually go for but I always found her character to be missing something, though I can't quite put my finger on it, since saying that she's perhaps too ....vanilla for me just doesn't quite explain it.
Anyhow, the love between MC, Melissa and Megan (...MMM?) seemed like a really nice option, since those two seemed to start showing some feelings, which went beyond just a long friendship, toward each other as well, so I was really looking towards that. Until the bomb at the end of Ch. 6, that is. Still hope that was just a misdirection though, so I eagerly await next chapter.
As for the Rena, I still feel sorry that I had to let her go but getting her and our good old goof ball together really made me feel all warm and fuzzy. :happyblush Not to mention, there just wasn't a way for having both her and Melissa without being a complete dick.
As for Anna, ripping her asshole to pieces after the crap she'd done was even more therapeutic than kicking the shit out of Peter. :evilsmile:
The only thing I didn't manage to get, was getting Liam to answer his phone when you call him after the visit to Anna. Did anyone manage to do so and what does happen in that case if you did?

I really loved it, this is the first game where i liked a male side char enough to consider giving up one of "my" girls for his sake :coldsweat:
But the end of episode 6 killed me. Honestly give me a

One thing I was thinking tho, was it would be cool if in Chapter 7 you DID save them both, but in different ways depending on your trait. Like If you have charismatic, maybe you could convince an onlooker to help you run back and either have them help or save the other outright. Well-read trait, maybe the character McGuyvers something on the fly to carry them both out at the same time or using some other high IQ/book-smart way of saving them. Athletic trait would be the easiest because you can simply say he had a huge surge of adrenaline and runs back in and saves the other but then collapses shortly thereafter, and of course you would wake up a few weeks later (or years if you want to get extra dramatic) to both Megan and Melissa looming over you shocked that you are finally awake, then Liam and Rena, who are now married(or at least living together) come visit MC once they get the good news.
Would be really cool IMO, but we will have to wait and see...

I agree that the traits that we choose at the beginning of the game are underutilized. As they currently exist, I only see the occasional extra relationship point gained instead of any real significant impact to the story.
