You're totally wrong. Even if each chapter is deployed as a stand-alone game, a chapter uses (and needs) the progress of the previous chapters.

Because the last people that said this (Chloe18) didn't build their own engine. They were using another product.

It doesn't change that I think forcing the users to hop back and forth between these crappy incompatible web based versions and the standalone desktop version is driven by greed and the desire to try to force users to pay to be patrons to see the content, despite it causing more problems for the users and making a lot of them unhappy... rather than just making a high quality product like other devs do, who put the low bar of a patron only post up, but allow them to be shared here anyway because they still get plenty of patron support for making good products and treating their users with respect.
Ideally this game would be released up front as a single build that includes successive chapters in the same download, with a single set of saves, and would support Windows, Mac, and Linux by default as the Ren'Py builds do. Not to mention better saves, rollback, and the flexibility that comes with Ren'Py.

Are you using the latest WINEHQ build like I talked about in my previous comment about WINE? It will only run on the more recent WINE builds. Not on older builds.
People didn't want to wait for the standalone versions, so someone hacked the web based versions to create a semi-standalone version that you could run on your local machine, but it still needs a local webserver etc. The save files from this cracked version are not compatible with the normal standalone version.
Exactly what it says. In one she is your real daughter. In the other she's adopted. This was to have a version that complied with Patreon's bullshit anti-incest rules, and a version you could get elsewhere that remained true to the original incest vision. Later versions got around needing two separate versions by allowing you to choose her relationship to you.

If you started playing the online version, you can't. You have to restart from the beginning with the offline version. Saves can't be swapped between the two.

I did as well. I don't know if it was ever the authors intention, but it seemed like a lot of the elements building up to the Kathy relationship suggests that she is your real daughter. I've thought this since her reactions to the MC confronting her about her writings. The fact that she would be so interested in writing about that subject in the first place combined with her reactions to their growing relationship strongly suggest that these ideas are linked and that the core of her conflicting emotions come from her inner conflict upon pursuing a sexual relationship with her father behind everyone's back, even his.
I haven't played the online version, that apparently allows you to load saves from the previous chapter, but the offline version doesn't load information from previous chapters. If they did, then why did chapter 3 say I chose the bartender, when I hadn't, I chose the lady by the bar. If each chapter uses the saves from previous chapters this wouldn't happen. But the games don't use saves from previous chapters, at least not on my PC.

Father vs. Step-father in this game I can understand the restraint the male protagonist is supposed to show towards his daughter (step-daughter) but chapter 6s new title for the male protagonist is just ludicrous, "life long childhood friend". I am sorry there should be no restraint at that point in time especially in the last scene considering the morning surprise in the chapter prior. If the game developer is going to make her not a relative and just a "friend" living with me, especially one that is in college and in the prime of her sexual period.. there should have been sex with Amanda long before chapter 7, 8 or 9 (whenever he is planning to consummate the friendship).
The game is called "Daughter for Dessert"...it just seems over the top forced now that they are totally not related. "Hey buddy" "I'm your childhood friend" even tho we were 20 years apart no big deal.
Honestly not worth playing right now until a fan patch gets released to fix the dialog.

You are right, as far as I know as of chapter 3 you can choose (write yourself) your relationship with her (daughter, step-daughter, friend etc.).
For the people who don't know, just click on the "wrench" icon which is located above options "wheel", and write it yourself. Maybe clarify this in the OP so people don't get confused because there are no separate versions to download as of chapter 3? @muttdoggy
