Status Update - Feb 4 said:
Hey folks! Been a little while since the last update, and I've still got a few big things I wanna get done before the next build, so I wanted to give a quick status report.

As always, one of the best ways to see what I'm working on at any given time is to follow my streams over on . You can also sometimes get a general sense of what I'm working on by checking out my , although I don't always keep it up to date.

Anyway, the big features I'm focusing on for 0.2.3 are:

Improving the embellishment system. I've completely overhauled the embellishment system to make it more powerful and easier to mod. Embellishments are now loaded from .dae files in game's appdata folder, which means modders can very easily create embellishments, import them into the game, and apply them to characters. Embellishments can also be rigged to bones, allowing for "floppy" embellishments. Animation support might be added later.

Redoing the hair system. I've been tinkering with some 3rd party hair systems and tweaking them to play nicely with the rest of R2CK's framework/shaders. Like the new embellishment system, the new hair system loads its data from external .dae files that are generated using Blender's particle hair system. This means that anyone with a little bit of experience in Blender can easily design their own hairstyle, import it into the game, and apply it to characters.

Gender-specific traits in species definitions. For instance, only male lions should have manes, only male bulls should have horns, etc.

In addition to these big goals, I will probably try to include a couple of new interactions with this update, because I know that's what folks are looking forward to right now.

Mac user here. it seems to be not working for me though that might be a combination of the fact that i am absolutely hopeless when it comes to navigating OSX in general and I am not able to see if theres any leftover old files thats causing a problem. Anyway, if it happens that nothing is occurring from my end then something must be amiss with the update since i have reinstalled twice already, deleting the old.

After accessing the screen resolution window when you first start the application up, it immediately shuts down, pulling up a "Rack 2 has unexpectedly shut down" window no matter what resolution or graphics quality i run it at. Thats as far as I can get with this update.

Hey everyone,

I'm sorry for not being around to assist in solving your issues lately. My work schedule has been keeping me busier then normal with Spring season preparations. Bringing in alot of Soils, spring Garden, Seeds and other stuff that I have had no time whatsoever to come and check in here.

For the situation with the Mac version: I have no way to test it out on my side due to not owning a Apple computer but, from what multiple people have told and reported. I am really not sure what to say at all; due to the fact that I haven't seen Fek stream working on the game alot lately unless I haven't been paying attention from what I have seen on his trello the last update was on Feb 19

I really don't know weather or not the Mac version will EVER work cause from past updates it never worked. Right now I know he has been Focusing on working on the Player Customization. Redoing all of it to make it optimal.

I'll do my best to keep a eye on when he releases his next update which is currently Unknown...

Ok,

So I think version 2.3 is now running stable from what I am seeing at this moment.

So here is the work around

0.2.3 Workaround said:
  • Start off by removing all previous 0.2.3 downloads you may have downloaded.
  • Open File Explorer, type in the address bar %appdata%. From there on the address bar 2.3 Workaround.png left click AppData and you will see 3 folders appear.
  • Access LocalLow, Locate the Fek folder and Delete it.
  • Download New copy of version 0.2.3 below

I suggest running in Windowed Mode to confirm the game is working as it should

The download link was version 2.2 :c
The download link is not 2.3, its only 2.2 atm
I am not sure why your not getting the correct link as I have redownloaded it multiple times and every time i launch the version it shows in the bottom right corner is v2.3

When you access the Roaming you need to click in the address bar AppData then access the LocalLow folder

V0.2.4 is out on FEK's Patreon..... No Links for us Yet, we do have to wait for uploader to upload
Here's what's new:

- Fixed a shader bug that was causing the game to crash on most Macs. The game should run a lot more reliably on Mac. Mac users, please let me know how it goes.
- Cum inflation is now somewhat supported. Characters' bellies will begin to swell when they've got too much cum inside them. Right now, cum inflation is always on, regardless of your fetish preferences. Eventually, you will be able to toggle it on or off based on your settings.
- A new interaction has been added: ball fondling.
- A few chemicals have been created, for testing purposes:
- RINGLAXA: A chemical that relaxes the subject's muscles, making them easier to penetrate.
- NUL-RINGLAXA: A chemical that tenses the subject's muscles, making them harder to penetrate.
- COMPLIAVOL: A chemical that makes subjects friendly and submissive.
- NUL-COMPLIAVOL: A chemical that makes subject aggressive and dominant.
- GEYSEREX: A chemical that makes subjects produce more ejaculate.
- NUL-GEYSEREX: A chemical that makes subjects produce less ejaculate.
- The fur system has been improved and tweaked a bit.
- The existing species have all had some minor updates to have the appropriate type of fur, or scales/skin if they are not furred.
- Fixed a genital girth polling issue that was causing penetration interactions to start with the penetrator already inside the orifice, among other issues.
- Fixed some exceptions on application quit.
- Minor improvements to character animation, especially during orgasm.
- Improved performance on the texture/pattern editing screne of the character editor.
- A significant amount of this build's development time was devoted to overhauling the hair system. I ended up hating the new system and scrapping it. Welcome to game development. Hair is temporarily disabled until I find a new system I like.
- Embellishments can now be given gender-specific tags when developing species definition files. For instance, the bull definition now only applies horns to male characters. For the purposes of the random character generator, a character's masculinity or femininity is determined by the appearance of their upper body. So, for instance, andromorphic females ("d-girls") will have feminine traits, while gynomorphic males ("c-boys") will have masculine traits. For custom characters, these traits can always be tweaked and overridden.
- The chemical synthesis UI and the chemical selection UI now display your current inventory of chemicals.
- I have significantly overhauled the game's boot-up process. It now displays a notification as it installs files for the first time, and if it detects that you have outdated game files, gives you the option to automatically back up your save files and start fresh, or attempt to convert your old files to work with the new version.
- The embellishment system has been overhauled. The old embellishments are still present on the existing species definitions, but will be updated Eventually™ - probably when I start focusing on content in Phase 3.
- Embellishments are now loaded from external files, located in the game's appData directory. They are loaded from .DAE files, which means that anyone can create an embellishment, import it into the game, and put it on your characters. Right now, custom embellishments are not automatically shared over RackNet, but this will be addressed Soon™.
- Embellishments can now have their own textures, which are multiplied against the color of the character at the point where they're placed. They also support FX layers for glowy bits, specular/metallic bits, and keyed opacity.
