I have to say, every time I see one of you guy suggesting dragging out the game by adding new characters all I see in my head is this guy
If this game was made from the ground up to be some far ranging series like Summertime Saga that'd be one thing but it's pretty clear the game was only ever meant to be about the residents of the house. Anything else would feel like cash grab or a twist even Shyamalan would walk away from.
And yes, this post was partly brought about by me wanting to try out image linking.

All these assholes who claim its just a cash grab I say this to them, BULLSHIT.

With Eric and Olivia there from almost the start and Kira very shortly after, how do you figure?
Exactly. The game wasn't made to be about all kinds of different characters. It's way too late to be bringing in someone new without it seeming weird or forced.
It wouldn't actually be a cash grab on DS's part. I think he'd rather BB be behind him. But for all of of the people that want the game extended, you should realize that these are exactly the accusations that will be made at DS by some of his patrons. Because that's what it will look like, even if he'd just be doing what some of his other fans wanted. It will appear to some people, and possibly quite a lot, that he's just trying to milk the life out of this game when to them it feels like it should have ended.
Where's Eric now though, or Olivia? Kira is clearly a secondary character now at best. If DS wanted to do more with Olivia, that would at least make some sense, since she was already introduced. But to bring in long-lost relatives, or just random girls you meet at the mall or something just seems unnecessary at this point.

It does have Auto Saves beside those you have to manually save your progress.
Also beside that there is limit on 70 saves by default so if you want more have to increase the nr in main folder config.cfg
I only brought up DS finishing the final 2 Eric scenes because once that's done (which means Eric content has no loose ends) then people who enjoy Eric can stop complaining about his content
