So it turns out Renpy supports updates:

("Build Updates" was a feature I had to enable in the script)

I don't know exactly how this works, but I'm assuming I would click that button and once it's built, and when you launch the game, it'd ask you to update. This means you wouldn't have to redownload the full game every update.
That's , right? Sounds like it would be useful, assuming you have a webserver available.
@Runey, if you don't have a webserver available I'd be more than happy to host it for you, I'd have to see what the requirements are

Thank you! I actually have a friend who has offered to do some hosting for me. I'm still not exactly sure what all needs to be done, or how expensive it will be, or even how many people will use the update feature. But if it works, it sounds like a great way to update.

Sounds awesome, but let me know if I can help in any way, of course it'd be no charge for you :)

Do you know if this feature is available for Android devices (the phone OS, not the character toys :p )?

I believe this feature is only for PC/Mac.

I did tell you, because 'sex sells', and this is something that some people find easy enough to do (I wish I was one of them, but that level of coding is beyond a dyslexic like me), which means that because so many people can make something, the 'market' gets flooded with them (and there will always be a market for sex stuff, especially in places where they repress their sexuality). It's as simple as that. I mean, as I started last time, there are actually a great many reasons, far more than the short list I gave before, but this isn't the place for that.
But, if you are trying to use that as a defense of reading and writing, you need to take a long close look at some of these games, few are even up to this level of writing, and many are downright painful to read (even if some of those are still fun to play). Don't get me wrong, I am glad people are reading anything, but most of the stuff here is not what you would call 'high literature'.
Especially if you consider the amount of non native English speaker that are into this niche business. If a need for literature was the cause of the popularity, it'd be unexplainable why so many devs that speak English only as a second language are successful. Even more, there would be no explanation for the amount of Japanese products that get translated by amateurs, a process through which any semblance of artistic expression usually get crushed.

The success of the Visual Novel genre is due in most part to the low technical level of entry, just like the abundance of JRPGs is due to the availability at a reasonable price of the RPGM framework, that allows even non programmers to concoct a game.

Besides, this kind of endeavour tends to be a solo man one, which further pushes towards less mechanics intensive games to bypass the need for good coding and level design skills, thus allowing the author to cover for all facets of the game instead of relying on a development team with different skillsets.

Any idea if 0.6 beta #3 is worth jumping into or would it be better to wait for the most stable and complete 0.6 version?

I didn't run into any problems with beta 3. I don't know the difference between beta 3 and pre release since I dont have it.

One game hardly makes normal and transitioning from one set of content to a set of slave content is very different from blocking content with no replacement. And f you learnt to read I repeatedly said I am not completing the story line as most wont which is why it makes the whole thing redundant waste of time. You keep talking about realism but then happy to ignore totally ridiculous that included in game. Androids and elves fine and a totally trusting and gullible overly sheltered woman of blind faith takes ridiculous grind to get nowhere but tell her your celibate and anti porn but if dont cum she strips off to give you fap material but MC is to dumb to talk her into bed FFS that is as ridiculous as it gets. She is as dumb as a post, when asked directly about her rules of faith she has no answers just blind faith with no knowledge fed to her by parents same for her Elf freedom efforts when questioned by Lin she had no answers and denied anything that questioned church even from an eye witness, she has massive blinkers and has demonstrated no intelligence and has worked her whole life in a coffee shop. Aloofness, arrogance and sense of superiority do not make intelligence and are easily manipulated, the twins would be much harder to crack in realty because of their innate distrust created by father issues.
Anyway this debate pointless so will agree to disagree with one eyed fan boy. Sorry like game but much better storylines with better games will be ones that keep getting my patreon money. He is far from winning me over with character inconsistencies and levels of grinding needed and bringing backtracking into an already grindfest is not going to win over new fans.
I might not have learnt to read, according to you, but you surely haven't learnt to write. At least not with proper punctuation.

On the points you highlight, you asked what other games did that and I provided an example. Your argument was that no one did and you've been proven wrong. Another example could be Peasant's Quest in which a character doesn't provide repeatable sex scenes anymore after she gives birth and asks you to wait for the next update.
By the way, if you learnt to read yourself, you'd realize I didn't say in Corruption you got new content as soon as you made the character your slave. That hasn't been true for multiple updates, during which if you enslaved your mother you'd lose the ability to see previous scenes with her and wouldn't get anything in return. Only recently, after months, new content for her as a slave has been implemented.
So the argument was simply: you're complaining about an inexistent problem because the issue you have will have lasted, when 0.6 comes out, for just the timeframe of development of the very next update. If you want to look at cliffhangers and cockblocking, you've been pointing out in the wrong direction. This game doesn't do that, it's just false.
You keep essentially demanding this game to never let anything suspended, which is not possible since the game is not finished and still in development. The story will progress with every update and that's unavoidable with the development model that's been adopted.

Regarding realism, you are committing a double fallacy. Pointing at the existence of elves in the game doesn't mean the game can be unrealistic on other levels. Of course elves and androids are not realistic in the strict sense of the word, but for a game in a fictitious setting with fantasy or sci-fi elements realism has another meaning, which is that of internal coherence of the world building. If the characters in that world act as people in ours, with similar behaviours, it is unrealistic if they suddenly start to behave like characters in a 80s B grade porn flick.
And that's where your second fallacy comes into place, you said there is no realism in the game and then argue that since you think that Autumn is dumb she should let the MC bone her as otherwise it doesn't make sense. So you must make up your mind: either the game is realistic or it's not. If you think it's not, you can't use realism as the basis to argue that a dumb character must fall for manipulation; in that case you might instead argue that since nothing makes sense then you might as well go the extra mile and let the player easily fuck Autumn because it's porn with no internal rational structure. But that's not what you're doing. You're dismissing realism claims by pointing out at setting elements that don't fit reality, but then you're going back to reality to state that in the real world the twins would not fall for you and Autumn instead should. You're the one inconsistent in the reasoning, not the game.
To top it all, you are also misunderstanding Autumn, since at no point she is depicted as dumb. She's naive and deceivable, but she isn't dumb. You're saying she's dumb only on the basis of some prejudice regarding religious people. She doesn't have answers when faced with the harsh reality that hers is just idealism, but that doesn't mean being dumb, she's just inexperienced and idealistic. She talks about how things should be and doesn't know how they actually are in all their aspects or why it's so hard to have them change, but she's no bimbo. She can use reasoning, she just has a different set of values that inspire her in her views and choices.

On the issue of grinding, I don't know which game you've been playing, because there is no grinding needed. You literally just talk to people half of the time and perform sexual acts the other half. You can see all non optional scenes without a care for anything but visiting repeatedly the character.

Besides, complaining about grinding in a Ren'Py game is ludicrous due to the fact that the source code can be extracted and altered to fit your tastes, just as you can simply enable the console to skip whatever "grinding" you might feel to exist.
Of course it'd still be a valid critique to the game itself if it was the case that grinding is demanded, but you are sorely mistaken on that front. Unless for you grinding means playing a Visual Novel, that is reading.

Is there any notable difference between 0.6 Pre-Release and the Complete Release in a few days time?
The Pre Release as about 62 scenes, up from the 49 on Beta 3 (and more bug fixes and polishes).

The official public release, in about 9 days, will have less bugs, and a completely overhauled computer system. It will be an interactive computer now. You'll be able to change your wallpapers. Some default ones and some you can buy. You'll also be able to turn those pinups you take into wallpapers as well.
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

You'll be able to preview, and rotate outfits on a model character:
You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

You'll also be able to preview the Elves you can buy. (Website probably going to be named Elf-Bay)

There will also be a website for toys and modules.

Good God, this game is only getting better. I'm actually tempted to start a new game just to see old content with this update. Probably will have to wait until after Finals, but still.
