Overview:
This is the story about a very poor man who barely had a house. Then, walking around Adreim's Kingdom
streets he overheard an old legend about a treasure locked up deep inside a dungeon; a treasure so
valious you wouldn't even want to sell it. This treasure was the Infinite Stone, a powerful orb that
would grant the owner a single wish. There were not limitations about the power of this stone, so you
could even destroy the universe with it.
This is when our protagonist embarks on a new quest for the search of this stone, in order to be the
richest person ever. But will he be able to overcome the dungeon dangers?
Infinity Dungeon 3D is my second attempt on making a +18 game, and my third 3D game made on RPG Maker VX Ace. The base engine for this game is FPLE Ace by MCG, with some tweaks made by me. Textures are made by Scuttles, and I'm the one doing all the CGs and the "game" itself.

Currently, there's a lot of things to do; and I'm really really far from releasing an Alpha build. You could say this is a First Person game like Etrian Oddysey for 3DS, with a "depths" mechanic pretty much like Spooky's House of Jumpscares. This game will feature fully animated battle-fuck for all the enemies available, and 2+ variations for each animation.
Also, this game will feature an entirely customizable protagonist; since your choices will decide his personality, and the final wish he will want to make with the Infinite Stone.

Right now opinions is the most important thing for me, since I need to mold my work to match your likes, without getting too away from the main idea.

Get rid of that movement sound!! :p

There's not much shown of gameplay yet... Any frame (like dungeon crawling in 3d) could be nice for a NSFW game if it's well done. Keep on it and wait a bit before showing anymore.

Apart from the movement sound... All sounds click a lot!

What exactly makes you uncomfortable about the footsteps sound? Should it be more variated?
Or should it be softer?
I wouldn't want to get rid of it if it can be fixed.

Thank you, btw!

The footsteps sound to me like some kind of energy sword swinging. I found them that strange. One has to be carefull with loud repetetive sounds because can bore/make crazy the player. If I here playing your game I will set sound effects to 10 or 20% to be able to play it. And that will not help me out hearing other sounds.

Maybe you found it nice enought now that there is not much in the map, and the sound enhances your sensation that you are really moving, that's ok in dev phase. but when there will be stuff to do, and things on the map to figure about (sound cues) (a far river, a monster grumbling, a far shout crying for help), Ambient sound and music, those footsteps will be just adding cachophony, not inmersion.

Same goes for UI buttons, too metallic loud. better if they're just subtle.

As a rule of thumb, all non important things in a game, must be subtle, so the good stuff is more interesting.
With sounds is the same as graphics. The non interactable NPC cannot draw more atenttion than the character that you need to speak of, for example.

So... lowering the volume and adding some variety would be better?

Also, UI buttons are supposed to have a medieval look, since this is an RPG. A light UI would look nice if it was one of those modern-ambientated VNs tho.

Welp I did end up by removing footsteps sounds, since I noticed that they reduced game performance by at least 20FPS (they will still be present in cutscenes tho).

In other news, I completely reworked the first (depth 0) map; and made it compatible with the new Graphic Options menu, where you can adjust the draw distance and details resolution.

I've also made some progress on the first scene, wich is gonna have 4 CGs.

It looks very well done and it is admirable how much effort you put into it but I cannot understand why you chose that engine for developing such a game.

My thoughts as well. @Zachy you should consider moving in to a more big engine, it will pay off in the long run. There are already templates in other engines that already have the ability of making everything RPM does, but better, and with more ease to add new things. Like Unity+plygame/ORK engine

Mmm, maybe it's because RPGM is the most comfortable engine I've ever used IMHO. I've also tried using Ren'py, Unity, UE4 and GameMaker; but I believe there's nothing better than staying in your zone of comfort.

Also, I dunno why but programming languages are something really complicated for me; and I wouldn't like using an engine that need a minumum of programming skills to be used. It's not that I don't code on RPGM, it's just that it's not as necessary as it would be in another engine.

In other words... While I've tested a lot of engines, I see RPGM as the best for people like me; since you don't need an incredibly big knowledge on coding to do something good.

Have a nice day!

Hey hey hey! Here's a little update on the game progress.

I finished the first CG scene on the game, and completed the Depth 1 map (it's just a simple hallway). And there's where one of the new features take place; secret areas!

You don't have permission to view the spoiler content. Log in or register now.

They will be accessible through fake walls, and you may find secret chests or even CG scenes inside them!

Alsoo, I think it's time to show you the first enemy our MC will encounter in his adventure; and that is... the Slime Queen!

She's a really strong enemy that will await for us on Depth 10 as the first boss! (bosses are going to appear every 10 floors). The next thing on my to-do list is the actual battle system.

And that's pretty much it! Have a good one, and stay tuned!

Are those Honey Select models? If so, is it wise to make a game out of assets from another game without getting licensing?

Well since I'm not making money from it, other than Patreon donations (wich aren't a direct source of income, since the game is free); I think wouldn't be worth it for Illusion to send a copyright claim.

First of all, since Illusion is a Japanese company, a copyright claim from a continent to another is something that costs a lot of money and time. So, since I'm not making money from this; they're not losing anything and they don't have a really good reason to do that.

However, it IS illegal to use Honey Select models in other games.

There are many other games using HS screenshots, that seems to be fine if we count the very few that contacted illusion to ask for permission... On the other hand, using actual geometry would probably cause a cease or desist.

Hey hey hey! It's been a long time, so I guess it's time for another Sneak Peek video!

I've finished the battle system and it's ready to be played without bugs. Right now there's around 3 enemies with all of their animations done, and 6 of them with their battle portraits done.

Aaaand, that'd be it!
Have a good one, and stay tuned!

Phew, it was pretty hard; but I managed to finish all 10 depths in less than one month!

Also, I've finished all 5 available enemies with their respective battle animations (that's 15 animated scenes, and some cum variations!).
3 of the enemies are going to be Common, wich means you'll be able to find them normally when exploring depths. 1 of them will be in a hidden zone, and is going to be really strong. The remaining one is our Slime Queen, the boss of depth 10!

However, I still don't have a release date for this version, since I don't have Wi-Fi and can't upload the game with mobile data.

Have a good one, and stay tuned!
