We're looking at remastering the images on a game I work on. Do you guys think it's a visible improvement?

Before

After
Definitely visible. The second image is much sharper, especially the details and more vibrant. I'm guessing those are the main things you punched up. Nice.

Lighting experiment for outdoors work but it didn't turn out too bad
For outdoors in direct sunlight, I would do something to vastly increase the sunlight intensity. Because it does look way too sterile without any glare or reflections that you would see on a photo in such a situation.

BTW that is also the reason why nobody shoots with the sunlight in the back, ever. Sunlight should only come from the side or the back of the object, if needed add lights in front of the object. Then tweak the exposure or ISO values accordingly.

Wasn't totally happy with my character in the previous render so I have redone the skin, body and tweaked the face. To differentiate from my other character, deliberately went for a square jaw. Hope you like.
If you are going for realism, then I would recommend desaturated eyes.
