Happy New Year! I'm going through my first play-through of Wicked Choices for the past week. I've been busy lately. Hopefully you guys--players, developers, that odd gal who thinks she's a robot on 62nd Street, and everyone else--aren't slammed with a bunch of responsibilities and are all starting the year off in a glorious, upbeat fashion. Woo!

Wow. Originally, I had quite the prodigious post here discussing the game that was about half a dozen paragraphs long, but figured that's just too much. The long and short of it is that I'm enjoying the game thus far despite some shortcomings. However, I'm running into massive continuity problems on this first go of the game which is sucking some of the joy out of it. Regardless, I commend the team for what's presented in the game. It's quite the accomplishment for a first project (and getting it over the finish line). Well done, and best of luck to the development team on the second game!

To Jack, Palanto, and the wives. To new friends and acquaintances. Happy New Year!
THANKS @Sierra3 and a Happy New Year to you too, my friend... now could you do me a small favor, STOP SENDING ALL THE RAIN UP HERE, this weather is hell on my spine! :D I really could do without the pain caused by the cold and damp and could get a lot more accomplished if you held it at bay for me!! ;) LOL

To the ASLPro3D staff & The Community, Happy New Year! Health & Success to all of you :)

Spread the word to support this great dev!
Hey @Matraptor, thank you so much my friend, and to you as well... a very HAPPY New Year to you!! :)

PS: Nice Sig, I like it! ;)

As one passes and the new one sprouts, let all trials and tribulations be the exact fertilizer that your hopes need to blossom in the new year.
Of course, Happy New Year to all.
A very, poetic and botanical way, @Wyrme, of saying may the shit of last year be the crap you need to have this year's hopes and dreams blossom!! :) I like it!! Happy New Year my friend and if you did have enough or you need any shit to make yours bloom, let me know, I had gotten a HUGE crapload of it last year!! :ROFLMAO:

Thanks @Back and Happy New Years to you as well and thank you for the luck, interest and hope that you are enjoying the game!

Actually, the more you write the better around here... we aren't put off or annoyed by long discussions (part of the reason we are up to 266 forum pages... we talk a lot! LOL).

That said, I am not sure what you mean about Continuity Problems... I know that we had one, but believe we had fixed it. :(

@ASLPro3D :) As if feces is ever in short demand in this world, but thanks for the offer. From a true wordsmith, that is a compliment. I am to a poet what a browning A-5 is to a barret 82A1. You throw enough you will hit something :p. For the other half, I am a country boy, hunting and tilling despite the (semi)suburban address :).

Re: Continuity - (Warning, possible spoilers ahead.) The biggest, glaring continuity issue I'm currently facing on this first playthrough is Mike's second (yet first) visit to Yomi-no-kuni; and all the possible problems that might arise from that. For instance, the casual familiarity that Mike has of Syrina's mother whom he's never seen but is obviously written in way that they've met before. That's kind of a big deal.

I know it can be tough to keep track of all the variables and the possible paths that can be taken. The choices that a player may make and what makes sense to him or her doesn't always align with those that are close to a project. (That's why having another pair of eyes not directly involved in a project is so integral.) There's care in the writing--the plot, the diction used, the proper use of grammar--so I don't fault the continuity issues too much as long as the game is still enjoyable and doesn't impair the overall plot greatly. Well now, let's see how this story unfolds and where it'll take the MC and his companions...

Where i am weak in the statement, I always have stood(minus my abilty to type around the kitties who helped in this post :p) strong in synthesis: I have wondered from Witch Hunt( any 'antichrist' would feel today, to The conjuring ( ) 'the grasping of said reality and marching forth 'Sally forth, for all those "Army of Darkness( )" and we are all now calling ourselves the emperor ( ). Even Julius was casting the dice to cross the Po, Constatine was betting on a vision in the sky, to change the world. As Lizzy Borden sings 'Me against the world' I finish this post. I will reiterate how such a subtle twist can fall so seamlessly into the mythos we all know. I found Tool reminding me of the dynamics of our soon to be 'apocalyptic story'
(originally meaning revealing/unveiling) with schism( ). Must /bail before another band side tracks me.
EDIT:
For my brother @El bacca Del Chew in music, here is another cross genre gem to pull him back home :) : have fun y'all!

Hey, can someone help me? I'm trying to download this game for PC but the download links aren't working for me. I don't know if it's my computers fault but when I use mega it downloads a bit then gives an error message and the filescdn link just sends me to a website for a cloud storage thing. Can someone give me an alternate download link or tell me how to sort this out? Thanks.

I know it's the gold master and it even had more proofreading done to it but I found a couple of things that still need to be corrected. Power up scene: Miriam path accustome to / accustomed to. Later, there is a dialog that starts with sy, which should be the name of the character saying the line but somehow got out of the declaration for that line.

Normally, I would have unren'd the game and given line numbers but it lives on the desktop, not the laptop I use most often, as the full version wanted to pass through my Mega account on the way down and that's where it ended up.

I still need to think about the game some more before I write a review.

@hhhg - I just tried the links and the game downloaded fine for me in Chrome from Mega and also from FILESCDN (though, holy cow that was a super duper slow download)... anyhow, I'd have to say that the download trouble is on your end. You may want to try the compressed versions that are available for a quicker download time.

Thank you for the heads up on those issues, @Regardie will inform @Palanto to search for those two spots and repair them before we release on Steam. Appreciate the assistance!!

As for the review, yeah, there is a lot of information and subject matter to disseminate when it comes to our game... so much that happens, and yet, doesn't really happen (hard to explain) and can have you feeling one way about it instantly, while having you feeling another way after you've put it down for a bit.

Me... I am just glad that I am done with the first part of it! ;) Now I can get the actual 'GOOD STUFF' without a bunch of droning on and on and on. LOL

Let us be honest here Jack, you love to drone on and to tease us you meanie :p, so even if you would want to offer us some `GOOD STUFF`as well, you are definitely and defiantly also gonna drone on and tease us at the same time. No worries though we love you for that as well. :D

Alright, thanks for the flowers @HopesGaming and as @ASLPro3D said if there's anything we can help you with, just let us know! ;)

Thanks @Regardie I found those typos and fixed them, also fixed the "sy" in the dialogue :D Should've been outside of it but accidentaly got placed inside it :D

And sorry I know it's late for that but, happy new year to all of you :)

UPDATE: “Adventures of a Changed Boy” Prologue Status – January 7, 2019
(as posted on Patreon)

Hope everyone is doing well and have had some time to get their feet solidly on the ground and have adjusted to normal after the long holiday.

We are entering into our second week of January and I am already not happy with how fast time seems to be flowing around here… I am much closer to getting the first chapter release to Prologue of “Adventures of a Change Boy” finished for everyone, but not as close as I wanted to be.

As you can see by the new Twine file that I use to keep track of my progress and input all of the text and image numbers so that Palanto can Cut -N- Paste the data from the Twine into the Ren’Py framework that I got a bit more done and have been expanding the outcomes from the many choices you can make in the story…

update002.png

…and you will also see that there are some new “<--- Still to Close Off” locations from the last update that I provided you; those are the result of the different sex scenes that you will be able to unlock, based on the choices you will make while playing the game.

While it doesn’t look like much has been done since December 27th, the truth is, we are now nearing 10,000 plus words and over 200 images, many of which will be for the animated sex scenes… like one of the stills that I posted above.

I will be posted the animated version that the still above was taken from to the patrons (behind the paywall), as it is NSFW and don’t want the Patreon God’s angry with us. (can't post it here, as it exceeds posting size limits... sorry. :cautious:)

In other update news: A good portion of your financial support to us went to me getting a Seagate external 8tb backup plus hub to store all of the game’s RAW files onto, to free up space from my main HDD to speed up and protect the multiple files that I create while working on the game… and, just moving those files over, freed up almost 3tb from my main drive (I save a lot of my render data, incase I need to redo a render).

So, thank you!

Well, I best get back to work here… before I go, I want to apologize for my really “quick” replies (rather than my visits with people) in posts and messages and for not being on Discord very much… right now, all of the writing, rendering and animating is being done by me and the wife, since taking her new job position and her company getting ready to switch over to new software (which I hate to tell them is going to not be as smooth of a transition as they believe it will be), she hasn’t been able to help like she did with the first game… so it is just me, with Palanto working on the maps, locations and graphics for main RPGM “Adventures of a Changed Boy” game.

I am REALLY PLEASED with this story and the work that we’ve been doing, both on the prologue and the main game and can’t wait for all of you to see the new work… I really hope that you will be as enthralled as we are with it!

Just wanted to keep you all updated on our progress and THANK YOU again for your support; we’ll talk soon!

~Jack
