Attached is two CSharp DLLs.
One fixes the performance issues people have been having.
The other does this, but also lets you do manual piston, both in VR with VR controllers, and in desktop mode, by pressing / on the numpad.
Press again to go back to camera adjustment.
Enjoy.
Edit: It seems the colliders that are baked automatically are used by the KUM functionality.
Not a big loss.
