These nasties can cloak themselves tighter than a ninja in the shadows. One click, one download, and bam! You're starring in your own personal horror movie, with your data as the prized sacrifice. If you knew how easy it is to hide malicious code inside a package file and make it undetectable, you would be surprised.

I haven't heard of anyone putting a virus inside of a .package file or any reports of that happening. Can they even be used to execute malicious code outside of the game? Honestly, the pop ups from the site are more harmful than package files.

Otherwise some random uploader can probably upload a malicious .package file to a legit site and probably get away with it, because as you said it's undetectable.

If you download a mod from an official site, there is no problem, they are safe mods. The problem is those leeches who steal paid mods, modify them, and add malicious code to re-upload to other sites with the intention of continuing to steal. Remember that any type of file can be infected including a simple image or text

Mod can be considered as dead. Some parts still work but some parts not. Last thing I read about the creator is that there are difficulties to access the internet without issues, so the patreon is still up and could not be paused.

I know that Turbo works for possible career and producer possibilities for WW and there is also AWE, which is also a fitting alternative.
