They did what you described.The story for Season 2 was finished way over a year ago. Voice acting was added long after it was finished (and in the meantime one of the actors quit, they had to rerecord all of her lines).

What a lot of people don't seem to understand, is that in the "developing" process not all do the same or can do the same.
The one doing the voice samples may have no programming skill at all, the programmer can't write stories.
While the voice director is still busy recording for S2, others write and render for S3 or one of their other games, while programmers put already written and rendered stuff together, create a build pipeline, fix bugs or whatever.

Glad they changed Amy's farm girl voice... but unfortunately into Brits accent. Nicole's typical sexual "teacher" was also changed into a lame VA. Oh n Ellie. What have they have destroyed the best part of lust theory. Oh and nemdog, I don't care Missmonified retired, didn't ask.

That I didn't understand either . MC, Megan, Jessica, Zoe and Amy seem to have been raised in the same town, so they should have similar accents as well. A british accent for Nicole would have been cool however.
But what's done is done, the'y re not gonna change it again. We just have to be glad that they added voice acting at all.

People should not be afraid to say "sex" or "intimate" or "lewd", especially not on a forum about adult oriented games. If you mean "sex", say "sex".

odd thought but would it be possible for someone to upload a version that has the new animations and images but not the voice overs? i mean the game was already massive but it seems the voice-overs bloated the game so signifcantly i'd honestly rather just have a compressed no voice version and play it quiet to save myself time space and effort

True, I had more fun reading with my own voices instead my head in the past that it's better without the new voices and it then it feels like lust theory all over again. Nostalgia is strong in this age. But I have to thank the devs for Voice lining the hot nurse in the hidden scenes, who deserved more screen time.

Download S1 Christmas Event (there should be a "+" in the title).

The GOG and Steam version of S1 already include the Christmas event. I think what's available here is the Steam version, the file size is right (~5.2GiB) and it was also updated a year after the other download option, which has only 3GiB.

There's a compressed version floating around somewhere. And yes, it's pics, voice acting and a large number of animations.
