At daz3D, you still have the 10-20% off a gift card, but with a “Jungle” new release, you can get an extra 5% off the gift card (and 10% off the rest), that is up to 24%off, which is a very good and uncommon GC discount.

Note that a “Jungle” new release also gives you 60% 5 wishlist items. If you purchase them with the gift card, you need to pay them in cash, and loose the benefit of paying with a discounted gift card. But you share the buy-in with the GC and an extra 60%+10% is an excellent discount.
Also, there are some other offers associated with a “Jungle” new release (ironman13 or daz+ items at $1.99), but it seems less interesting.

I guess that I'm out $20 then, I grabbed a $500 gift card yesterday at 20% off in preparation for the June PC+ sale.

I also didn't use my $6 off $18 coupon last month, because the sales and lightning deals weren't lining up where I felt like I was getting a good deal on the $18+ spent...

Ahh well. I have enough Daz stuff already. Does RenderHub ever have awesome sales?

I think of them like Renderotica, usually 30% is quite good, I think they had one with 50% once in the entire time that I was aware they existed (Renderotica had one I am sure, Renderhub I guess maybe?).

Artists on Renderhub are often on cgtrader as well. There you can get 50-70% relatively often.

Note that a “Jungle” new release also gives you 60% 5 wishlist items.
This also stacks with other sales, so the one from yesterday also gives an extra 60% off on 5 wishlist items. And if you put a new item from yesterday on your wishlist, then buying a new one today will apply 60% to that new item.

Meaning you can get 1 new item from today, one 1 new from yesterday, and then get 4 wishlisted items with 2*60% applied to them.

EDIT: There is also another one where you get an additional 30% non-daz items if you put another new item into the cart. Again, stacks with the other sales.

You can get bundles where you have all the items but not the bundle itself for free.

Also there is some stacking going on when you buy the new bundle, and then you can get 70% off of three recent bundles + this discount. They're going to 90%+ in my cart when I try it out, which is ok but not that great either. I have an orange banner with another 30% off of my cart and no tokens. The new bundle goes for 83% off.

I wasn't sure where to post this since it isn't a deal, but to help avoid any future headaches with any limited editorial license for you fine people, I think it's worth it.

The page for the bundle has been deleted. People on Facebook were speculating that Paramount contacted them.

Yeah it's interesting that Lucasfilm hasn't bothered, but Paramount did...

I'm kind of hoping that whomever buys out Shari Redstone's shares of Paramount (Sony maybe, looks like Skydance may be out of the running) gets their head out of their asses and embraces fan efforts more/takes a page out of the Star Wars fandom book.

Yes, Paramount does have fan film guidelines, but also has a history of beating up films that look 'too good' and uneven enforcement, aka the Axanar fan film saga...

This is the fan film that instigated Paramount finally issuing fan film guidelines:

In this case, Gary Graham (RIP) reprised his role as Soval, and a couple of other Star Trek alums were also cast in this fan film, and the SFX looked great, which bothered Paramount to no end... the next film installment (which is cut down from the original plan to a 15 minute episode per the settlement) should finally be released later this year. Axanar filming is in the can, and it's in post production atm. It will probably be the last time that we will see Gary as Soval. But I digress.

In this case (the fan art add ons), someone WAS making money off of the Star Trek IP by offering the IP related assets for sale, these (not the base assets, just the fan art addons) should probably have been released for free. But of course, one only needs to look at RenderHub and such to see people selling IP related stuff. Heck, Thanos was pulled from Renderosity, reworked slightly and then offered for sale again.

Of course, the 'usual suspects' have made said sci-fi fan art bundle available by other means, but that falls outside of the scope of this thread, as this particular thread is about acquiring/purchasing assets legally.

But back to Paramount being assholes, yeah I think the Star Wars fan film/art/etc. community is a bit more accepting these days.

As for Nintendo, yeah they can be ruthless when enforcing their IPs...

BTW, for the Vader fans...

Presumably the products inside the sci-fi bundle are gone too. that's the editorial ones. FWIW I wasnt planning to buy them anyway unless they are like super-cheap, since i can only use them for free stuff. As it is, the base (non editorial ones) just dont look cool enough to get either.

yes, it's clear someone was making money from the IP.

I think the bundle is still there as a smaller bundle:

Most of the products are still in there, they removed the textures and head shapes, as well as the Spaceship prop that looked too much like Star Trek. And actually added a SciFi VFX kit as replacement.
