Ren'Py How to create characters 2D/3D

I have noticed that it is very common for almost all games, such as Fetish Locator, AOA Academy, etc., to use the same type of characters. I wondered if they all use the same program to create them, making them similar but sometimes more realistic than others, and some even able to make animations.
So what do most of them use?

Daz3D to render, Ren'py for the Code + Script/Dialogue. Animations are also done in Daz, but you're seeing more move to Blender to animate due to having a better suite of tools. But it's also significantly harder to learn and a bit slower than Daz - especially when you're just starting to learn.
