What would be the best Game engine for Beginners?
While i absolutly love the Games posted here i wanted to give it a try and being able to fulfill my kinks on my own but how would i start? i am aware that Old RPGMAKER engines recieve no further support (XP, Vx, ace) and others like Developer bakin and SMILE are too new or completly lack the tools others have and Ren¨py is only for Novel/eroge games which too me doesnt seem to ideal but each to their own i guess (i dont mean that to insult anybody)
so what Tutoials/Tools could i use? anybody got any advices to give?
Ps: i am aware about the original websites for RPGmaker products but those never answered any of my questions, so if i truly wanted to give it a go, i am looking for something that takes me by the hand ( so to speak) and teach me
