Some suggested to her that if she add it now, more people will buy the game with 18+ content, but she's reluctant because her previous game Lingering didnt have a lot of sales. I guess her major target audience are teen girls who dont want to see adult content. Overall, finally another female dev.

I wonder what makes female dev diverge from female author of comic books (manga), because a lot of yaoi manga author are female and they put a lot of smuts, perhaps its the difference in culture

On her Patreon she said she'd be making the DLC either way. However, whether it'll be "publicly" released or not depends on sales, which is...an odd decision because if you're gonna spend resources making the thing, then why not release it to recoup expenses.

but before Lingering she literally only made one other paid game. Technically she doesn't have enough data to draw such conclusions. And it's unclear how big was the dip. Was it a 50% difference in sales, 30%, 5%... At least Bewitching is doing fine right now and enough people are interested in R18 stuff - so much that she had to post an announcement just to address it.

• First get the "Find the Culprit" Quest on the 17th of May from Keppler in the Library.
• Enter the Rune Graphology and Healing Remedies Classroom then check the desk with the red doodles.
• You can then turn in the quest right away or head to the sparring field and talk to Winston for more info. Either way, have this quest done BEFORE MEETING MEYZA A SECOND TIME.
• Answer anything for with the talk with the boys on curing Thane, but do not cure Thane. DO NOT CRAFT THE CURE POTION.
• After finishing Io's arc, Thane should ask you to bond, say yes.

If you don't cure Thane and reject to bond, he will always bond with Fia. If you cure him, he won't be dateable to the point he is willing to go to your world

There are also JP studios producing BL-only content(Nitro+Chiral, Parade, Adelta, Pil/Slash, LoveDelivery etc). Some of those are ~20 yrs old too. It's not just Western devs.
