Have the notice but don't turn it into a question. No, it isn't.
It's also a legal requirement to have the notice.

It reeeally annoys you that you have to do that one extra click huhHave the notice but don't turn it into a question.
Where; what jurisdictions? Could you point me to the law or regulation?... It's also a legal requirement to have the notice.
It's there for a reason, you want a game without that then pay a Dev out of your own pocket, the whole Game, so that he doesn't have to go to Patreon or similar thingsAnd while I'm at it, stop with the "parents died" cliche. Just say you turned an adult and moved the fuck out or something.
Okay, I'm done, I'll let myself out.
Honestly, yeah...It reeeally annoys you that you have to do that one extra click huh
This game's plot involves MC wondering if his parents are actually dead. Arguably there's no game without them being dead. And while I'm at it, stop with the "parents died" cliche. Just say you turned an adult and moved the fuck out or something.

It has to be a full screen. If you have it in a corner or something and the attract screen of the game has suggestive and/or explicit content that's a legal issue. The dev themselves have to program that screen, which is a lot more work than your one click.Have the notice but don't turn it into a question.
You seem to know even more details than the average F95 lawyer, so again I ask: What statute, regulation, or policy mandates these screens? This isn't the first time I've seen expert opinion on this subject, but I've never seen the basis for these "legal issues".It has to be a full screen. As a proponent of yes all, I hate extra "choice" clicks. Will I quit a game for it, no. Will it affect my overall enjoyment of the story, no. Would it impact my rating if I bothered to do those things, no.View attachment 3637486
If serious then Idk what to say, for me it's just one extra click so I guess idc
Is it legal to show/sell/distribute or otherwise give adult rated material to a minor? You seem to know even more details than the average F95 lawyer, so again I ask: What statute, regulation, or policy mandates these screens? Does my internal monologue heave a giant overly dramatic long-suffering sigh everytime I have to click one, yes, yes it does.
Under 18 U.S.C. § 1470, an individual commits an offense when they use the internet, mail, or other means affecting interstate or foreign commerce to transfer obscenity to a minor. You seem to know even more details than the average F95 lawyer, so again I ask: What statute, regulation, or policy mandates these screens? That's correct. That's the law, but you'll notice that it says nothing about requiring age verification screens, nor how much focus they must take on the screen, nor about requiring clicks to dismiss them.Under 18 U.S.C. § 1470, an individual commits an offense when they use the internet, mail, or other means affecting interstate or foreign commerce to transfer obscenity to a minor.
